32. Love Spell

That mangy pup managed to get away again. I knew attempting to kill her was futile. I just didn't expect that she had managed to tap into her powers so quickly. I thought I still had time. I was worried knowing that she was still out there, and I won't deny that I also considered killing Darius to ensure that the prophecy wouldn't come true.

I loved my son dearly, but at the end of the day, if it were my son versus all the other supernatural creatures in the world, I would pick them every time. My son was nothing but a means to an end. I was fully prepared to kill him once I saw that the girl had vanished.

It was my men that had stopped me from doing so. Vince had explained to me that Darius seemed more confused than ever. When I turned to look at him, I saw that he was right. At least that mangy pup was good for something. She must've compelled Darius before she left. I needed to test my theory out before making any decisions.
