....Darius POV...To say I was worried would be an understatement compared to how I truly felt. The way Wynter reacted when she woke up from whatever she had seen was absolutely horrifying. I don't know exactly what happened, but the more she told me, the more concerned I grew. I wish there were someone we could talk to about all of this. ...A Few Months Later......Wynter POV...A few months had passed since we had gone to see the council. We had been expecting a war to break out, but everything seemed to remain quiet. Almost like an eerily calm. It was too calm. We were all waiting for the shoe to drop. It was like being in the calm before the storm. We knew that a battle was inevitable. The next few days went by without issue. True to his word, Darius assigned the party planning details to his mother, that was more than thrilled to take the reigns. Now that I would be Luna, she would need to find a new place within the pack. She had pulled me aside and told me that I was welcome to come to her if I ever had any questions. Most of my pack had already accepted Wynter as their new Luna, but this would just finalize it. I was so proud of her. In such a short amount of time, she'd really blossomed. She went from a meek and timid girl to a strong warrior. She's helping out a lot with our warriors, and I've already seen a major improvement in their techniques. ...Darius POV...To say I was worried would be the understatement of the year. Wynter wasn't aware of it yet, but I was afraid of what all of this could mean. Everything was lining up to be like the way Wynter had described the final battle to be from her premonition. I had hoped for awhile now, that what she saw was just a horrible nightmare. But after seeing the events unfold in front of me, I couldn't deny it anymore. Which meant that there was a high chance I may not make it out of this alive. If that was my fate, then I needed to do my best to help Wynter and our pack for as long as I had.
