I can see death all around me. Wolves dismembered along the ground, and blood everywhere. I can hear the screams of horror and mayhem in the distance. The smell in the air is absolutely putrid. I could feel my nose raise from the horrible smell of blood and decay. My eyes are burning from the tears shed from each of the wolves that have lost their lives around me. I take a closer look at the bodies around me, noticing that they're not all wolves. Rather there seems to be vampires and witches mixed in.I don't understand what's going on. How did I get here? ....Darius POV...To say I was worried would be an understatement compared to how I truly felt. The way Wynter reacted when she woke up from whatever she had seen was absolutely horrifying. I don't know exactly what happened, but the more she told me, the more concerned I grew. I wish there were someone we could talk to about all of this. ...A Few Months Later......Wynter POV...A few months had passed since we had gone to see the council. We had been expecting a war to break out, but everything seemed to remain quiet. Almost like an eerily calm. It was too calm. We were all waiting for the shoe to drop. It was like being in the calm before the storm. We knew that a battle was inevitable. By this time, we were merely wondering as to when. We already managed to get many on our side. However, we also knew that this wasn't an easy task. Many packs did back out from helping us. The next few days went by without issue. True to his word, Darius assigned the party planning details to his mother, that was more than thrilled to take the reigns.
