Axias had not left his place since the beginning of the war. He was still on the alert with his hand gripping the bow.
He knew that what Ethan had shown earlier wasn't all he could show. He knew because he saw no Wyverns coming down and using their venomous tails. He knew because no Diamond Knights and <Aura Master> had appeared to try to join the war.
They only lost the lives of the lowest-level soldiers, commoners who were forced to join the war. Everyone knew that this was all preparation for a second wave which was much bigger and more serious than before.
Like testing the water, like trying to exhaust the Imperial Army physically and mentally after killing their own innocent people, they would advance once luck was on their side.
When that happened, then Axias couldn't sit still here.
Axias had conserved his strength as best he could, and he quickly concluded
WHOOOSH! Harriet climbed the plateau with Zaha holding her by the waist and arm, helping her climb faster. The two of them needed to be in a place that everyone could see quickly, so they hiked up the rocky plateau area on the right side of the battlefield. This place was the place used by the army of mages and <Aura Archer> to fire their attacks at the Wyverns. If one looked at it, now things were much more chaotic than before. The Knights were now fighting the enemy Knights, and the Wyverns began to descend to the ground and attack them head-on. Not only that, Sorcery bombs exploded here and there. Eoin and Heath repeatedly used air pressure attacks with howls and <Aura> to push back the red smoke from the Sorcery Curse towards the enemy. But these two alone were sometimes not enough to save everyone. Meanwhile, in the sky, Heinrich and Ezekiel were in a f
Ezekiel asked Heinrich if he had an ultimate spell to clear the Wyverns from the sky.“Yes, I have an ultimate spell that is stronger than my brother's [Inferna],” Heinrich explained quietly."Ah. Great then," said Ezekiel. But, their combination against Ethan had been so effective. And Ethan was currently injured by the Emperor's attack. There couldn't be a better chance than this as they couldn't let Ethan run from this fight either. If Heinrich had to focus on other things instead of supporting Ezekiel–to cast a spell that could stop the Wyverns all at once, then they would need time.Great spells took time to cast, and the time it took could cost a lot of lives and losses."You don't need to protect me, just give me a foothold. You focus on casting your spell, and I'll also protect you from attacks. Can you do it?” asked Ezekiel th
Liam returned to the battlefield and looked around. Everything he saw was only chaos, and the sky was filled with so many Wyverns. Rather than those descending to the ground to ravage the Imperial Army, Liam found it better to deal with those flying in the sky. Because he presumed the Knights and the Lycans could deal with the Wyverns on the ground. “Huff, alright,” he muttered under his breath and began to transform into a giant white wolf. The surrounding people were surprised to see the appearance of a second Alpha Lycan with pure white fur from the back line. And sensing Liam's appearance, the Lycans of the Amaryllis Pack lowered their bodies. They were somewhat surprised to feel and smell the presence of a very strong Alpha. Liam ran at such a high speed that his figure blurred and disappeared into the crowd. Even though his figure was enormous, one could somehow not catch his movements.
Eoin clicked his tongue. "Too bad, isn't it? We are of dragon blood, but we don't have wings. I really want to grow wings even just once. It must be fun to fly in the sky and slash them one by one," said Eoin quietly. The middle-aged man darted forward and raged in the middle of the opposing army, alone. The blue light from his <Aura> flickered fiercely, burning everything around him. [Eoin Euclase? To think he appeared and helped in this war. He's pretty good, too] Liam muttered, realizing how Eoin managed to keep up with his and Heath's speed. Heath was silent. This was not the time to reveal his secret to his brother-in-law. More than that, he was sure Liam had not shown everything he had. He must have deliberately restrained himself a little because of his body condition. Heath knew because Liam still looked like he could rampage like this for a few more days.
Heinrich and Ezekiel stared at each other as an Alpha Wyvern reappeared from the back line of the opponent's defence. "You good?" asked Heinrich worriedly. "Yeah, of course. I can do this until tomorrow if it takes you that long,” replied Ezekiel sarcastically. Heinrich gave a small grin. He closed his eyes again to concentrate. At the same time, Ezekiel quickly chased after the Alpha Wyvern which started to spit its flames onto the Imperial Army on the ground. He shot off towards the monster with his body still protected by <Aura Armor>. About five minutes. Ezekiel could keep this up for another five minutes. Surely Heinrich could cast his spell faster than that, right? “HAAAAA!!” Ethan dodged Ezekiel's attack. He had just finished drinking his painkiller potion after being injured from his previous fight with Ezekiel
As Harriet pulled out her loudspeaker, suddenly the night sky brightened with white light. A giant magic circle formed in the sky– [People and Nobles of the Diamond Duchy] Harriet started talking into the loudspeaker. Her white-clothed self stood out on the plateau, illuminated by the white light from the magic circle in the sky. [I am Duchess Harriet Goldlane, and next to me is Prince Zaha Serpentes, the Army Leader of the Serpentes Kingdom who took over the Diamond Duchy Region and has controlled it during your wars here] Harriet turned to Zaha for him to speak. [I'm Zaha Serpentes. We have your families, your children, your women, and parents] Zaha spoke in the Varanus language, and quickly, everyone who was fighting stopped for a moment. Their eyes widened in shock and their mouths opened wide. [As you can hear from the
White light enveloped the sky. The magic circle shone brightly on the battlefield as if it was daytime, even though it was night. Heinrich finally finished casting his spell. [Lumine] The bright light from the sky began to quickly burn the Wyverns to ashes–and only the Wyverns! This was a complex spell with a selective and specific target. No humans were caught in the spell even if they were drowned and were dazzled by the spell's light. Immediately, the Wyverns fell to the ground, and their wings began to burn to ashes from the hot glow of Heinrich's spell. Liam quickly ran to Harriet and intended to take her to safety. WOOF! Harriet chuckled as Liam appeared and lowered his body before her. Zaha quickly helped her onto Liam's back, and Harriet then grabbed Zaha's hand to join her. Liam ran to take th
Harriet's words made the two imperial healers sob. They saw the Emperor coming carried by Liam and they watched as Ezra tried to heal him with her Holy Energy. It was a nightmare. “If the Emperor just needs to rest, I can look after him here. You guys go and help Her Highness Euclase,” said Harriet. The two healers looked at each other and looked doubtful. “Duchess, you should rest yourself. We hear your voice from here–you have done a lot to help us in this war…” Harriet shook her head. “I will stay here with the Emperor. I'll just sit and watch him. It counts as resting," Harriet insisted. The healers gave up trying to persuade Harriet to lie down in a more comfortable place. They brought out a soft mat for Harriet to sit on, then bowed their heads and resigned themselves. After the healers left to return to their duties to help treat the war vi
