Chapter 2 - My New Life

We’re in the meeting room now and waiting for Alpha Mark for what he has to say. He rarely convenes a meeting unless there is an important mission or announcement in the pack. I’m getting excited to be part of mission again. Last time we help other packs catching rogues who’s been killing young wolves. I remember beheading that psychopath.

‘Mark, where are you?’ I asked through mind link.

"I'm already here, kid." He said as he entered the meeting room.

I just nodded. I have a lot of respect for Mark even though he is often overprotective. He always lecture me about being careful all the time.

"Okay everyone, please listen very carefully. My friend from another pack got a problem with His pack members, they are weak and not trained properly due to the lack of experts in their pack. So, I decided that Kayden, Aden, Simon, Lea and Angel will go there and train their pack members and help them become strong again. I’m doing this because they’ve been allied friends for a long time." Mark said.

"Mark! Why am I with this? You don’t want me leaving our territory, right?" I said.

"Because that is my decision, and because you have known that place, you are also the best and strongest in combat in our group so it is only right that you’re included in this mission." Mark said.

I think I know the place? What pack does it refer to? I didn’t associate with any other pack except ....... The fuck! Don’t tell me it’s……

"Alpha what is the name of the pack we are going to help?" Kayden asked.

“Angel's former pack, The Moon Crescent Pack.”

"Okay Mark, I'm in. When are we leaving?"

"Tomorrow, five in the morning. They are expecting you the next day since our pack is far from each other. You have a long journey so be careful, by the way you will all use the car. "Are you really okay?" Kayden asked after we left Mark's office and are now arranging things for our departure tomorrow.

"What do you think?" I stopped what I’m doing and sat down on my bed. "I also hid from them for a long time, I don’t know what happened after I left. Did they look for me? I don’t want to hide anymore. I also don’t want to lock myself in the past. I want to move forward."

Kayden held my hands. "I'm just here, I'm with you there. Do not think that you are alone because I will not leave you."

I don’t know the answer to that question now. If Gabriel is still the same as before, there is a good chance that I will lose all my feelings for him.
