Laura looked at Dorian who was lying weakly on the bed. She had a good time watching his expression when she was torturing him.

Just now the last torture had been nothing but a mere illusion, even though he was being burnt his body was healing as he was burning.

But she made him see himself as a skeleton to enjoy the show a little more.

What She wanted to get rid of in Dorian was his pride. She would have let him off if he had begged for forgiveness.

But the pride sipped deeply into his bones and stooped him from begging for forgiveness which made her increase the intensity of the torture.

The thing she hated the most was pride. Though she too was proud, she hated someone displaying their pride in front of her as it would irk her badly.
