Daciana's pov

The knock resonated throughout the entire place again jolting all of us to awareness.

"Who is that?" Damien shouted from the position he was in. After getting no reply, he chased after the door while I was seated with a thumping heart.

I suddenly lost appetite for what I was eating and there's no denying the fact that my body was detecting a danger.

I looked towards his wife expecting encouragement. She gave me none, rather there was a smirk on her face.

It was so hideous at first but I couldn't ask her why because I didn't have the right to.
