We walked out of the bar and into the cool evening air, instantly refreshing us, and making us more alert. Thankfully, none of us had drunk enough to make us anywhere close to incapable of functioning normally. As disappointed as I may have been to watch Mason and his friends leave, I was so glad to finally kick off my shoes and throw on my sneakers. A sigh of relief does not even cover it! But, as I got myself sorted to go home backstage, my feet still felt like they were throbbing.
