Chapter: 3.
******Six sleek black cars pulled into the hospital's underground parking area precisely at 11 a.m. The bodyguards exited the vehicles in perfect formation, except for the middle car where the passenger waited for Bogo to open the door. All of them wore well-fitted black suits, their faces impassive. After Bogo opened the door, Dirk stepped out, standing by the car door and surveying the empty parking lot that housed only his cars. He nodded to Bogo and began walking towards the hospital's private entrance.St. Mont Hospital, located in Qiemont, is renowned as one of the city's best healthcare facilities. Known for its top-quality services, the hospital is synonymous with excellence in general practice. Dirk, being the highest beneficial member, enjoyed the privilege of owning his private parking area and exclusive access to the hospital. Within the hospital, he possessed his wing and a team of staff members who attended to his needs, including Dr. Naam, his most trusted vampire in all of Qiemont. The private elevator ride to the sixth floor went smoothly, as only Dirk and his bodyguards occupied it. He proceeded down the hallway, turned towards the east wing, and eventually entered his private room, where Dr. Naam awaited his arrival.Dr. Naam always patiently awaited Dirk's arrival in his private room. Among the staff, she was the only one besides Dirk who knew the password granting access to his personal space. Since Dirk became the late Domezio's adoptive son, Naam has been his caretaker. Given his frequent need for medical attention, Naam had proven herself time and again since Dirk's first visit, when he arrived sweating and experiencing a burning sensation in his lower abdomen.************Merely a month after assuming the role of Don, Dirk fell ill, not due to his leg injury, but from an internal cause. His body felt as if it were burning alive, accompanied by excruciating pain. Trusting Domezio's assurance in Naam's abilities, Dirk visited her for the first time.Entering his private wing, where only assigned staff worked, Dirk walked unabashedly into the room, nearly naked, and collapsed onto the bed, groaning in agony as he removed the remainder of his clothing. Dr. Naam drew his blood for tests, and while awaiting the results, she administered an injection to alleviate his fever. The wait felt interminable, but upon her return, Dirk felt significantly calmer and managed to dress himself."I have never seen symptoms like this in an Alpha before," Naam began as she sat beside him, flipping through the report on her clipboard. "The symptoms appear somewhat similar, but they are typically observed in Omegas during their early years of puberty, prior to their regular monthly heat cycles. You're experiencing these symptoms at a much later age than usual," Naam informed him.Frowning, Dirk sat up and met Naam's gaze. "What does this mean?" he asked anxiously."These symptoms are rather uncommon. It could be due to hormonal imbalance or something else entirely. Perhaps your hormone levels will normalize over time, and you won't experience them again," she explained. "However, this is not normal. We may need to further adjust and test your hormone levels." She advised, "I suggest avoiding any exposure to pheromones until I find a solution to this issue. In case your immune system is compromised, it wouldn't be healthy. Fortunately, you possess strength in all areas, so we may have a few months before any complications arise.""Hold on," he interrupted, "You do understand who I am and the nature of my work, correct?""I am aware, yes,""So, you see, it is not possible to stay away from inhaling other Alphas' pheromones, considering that I'm surrounded by Alphas every day. Normally, as an Alpha myself, I should not be affected by these things. So, this will be a very big problem for me, Naam.""I understand, which is why I have come up with a solution. Now, you cannot take suppressants in the presence of your bodyguards; they would begin to suspect. Neither can you be popping such pills in the presence of the many Alphas you command; they would start to wonder, and gossip would fly. So, I will have them crushed into powder and delivered to your private factory, where a special cigarette pen will be made just for you. This way, you can have them anytime, anywhere without raising any suspicions, and I assure you, even the smell would not give it away." She smiled reassuringly and looked at him with concern."It's a brilliant idea, but why do I fear that this won't be the last time I experience this?"Dr. Naam did not provide any further answers, and for many years, he lived a normal life. He went about his business and took his cigarettes regularly, and somehow the fever never returned until last night when he felt a burning sensation in his lower abdomen. Waking up this morning, he had to pretend it was gone, using the bad news from Dorain that morning to cover up the fever. It worked just fine.Well, until now, that is.*************"It's nice to see you again, La Sala," Dr. Naam greeted as soon as he entered the room. "Bogo sounded urgent on the phone this morning. I hope all is well?" She asked.Dirk sat on the sofa facing the woman. "I felt that fever last night, and this morning, my lower abdomen is in shambles... I think my cigarettes aren't working effectively anymore, or my body system has just grown used to the suppressants," he told her, trying to control his voice."Oh dear," she muttered, placing her clipboard on the desk. "Well, I'm glad I've had enough time to do all the research I need. While it may not be impossible, you are what we call a Recessive Alpha, which means you are not fully dominant and are very likely to go into heat, which shouldn't happen, but you are clearly showing," she explained, looking down at her clipboard and then back at him. "Right now, it is safe to say that your body is still in its early stages of going into a full-on regular monthly heat cycle. For now, I can have Beta Suppressant added to the current suppressive you're taking to help keep the heat under control and prevent it from going into full bloom. But this, too, is not a guarantee and may not be very reliable. To keep your secret safe, you might have to start looking for a Dominant Alpha.""What does this mean, Naam? I'm a fucking Pride, and Pride does not go into heat... I am not an Omega!""I understand your panic, Don, but you must pay close attention to what I'm about to say... If you do not treat this with the utmost care and caution, a heat could break out all of a sudden, and you will be in danger from other Alphas," Naam informed him as best she could. "You are not like other Alphas or any other Pride I know...""So, you're saying that I may become pregnant someday?" Dirk asked, not wanting to hear this."Yes, that's precisely what I'm saying. And not only that, you will become prey to other Dominant Alphas. This is why you need an Alpha of your own. You will need a regular pheromone shower to keep you safe and sane while dealing with Alphas in your line of work. Otherwise, this will become very difficult over time," she told him and sighed. "I'll prepare a sedative to calm your fever down. Then you'll sleep for a few hours, and when you wake up, you'll feel good and rested. But remember what I've said. I want you to give it serious thought. You are The Kingmaker, and I'm sure many Alpha males and females would die to be your secret lover. And the good part is, you don't have to tell them any of this. All you need is their Dominant pheromones. Everyone else who smells their scents on you would think you're Mated, as all Alphas would smell when they find a mate, and no one will pay attention to you after that," she assured him.Dirk let out a heavy sigh. "Thank you, Naam, but this will be difficult..." He hesitated."Why is that?""You see, I found my mates when I was sixteen-""Mates?!" Naam exclaimed, shocked."Yeah, the Lycgers, but I rejected them.""You did what?!" She interrupted him once again, and he growled a warning at her. "I'm sorry.""I think I killed them, but I haven't seen them since that night.""If they were dead, the world would have known about it... so I'm certain they're still alive.""What does it matter if they are?""Well, you're going to have to find out what happened to them. You need them now more than ever!" Naam stated firmly."I can't do that. Besides, I rejected them. I have nothing to do with them anymore," Dirk countered."Was your rejection accepted by them?""What?""Did they accept your rejection and reject you as well to seal the link?""No, they were in so much pain when I ran. I think they stopped releasing their pheromones. They were bleeding, but no pheromones could be detected in the air, just the smell of blood.""Find them and fix this..." she muttered, pointing to his left leg, and got up to administer his medication to put him to sleep. "This will help calm you down, and when you wake up, do think about what I've said." She watched his eyes fall shut, then walked out of the room.Could his life get any worse?Just when he thought he had escaped the horrors of the past, fate came knocking with new twists. With a dejected sigh, he let himself be carried off into dreamland.Chapter: 4.******"Alpha, I think it's time you reconsider your stance regarding Omegas. The pack members are starting to whisper," Rafe said, leaning against a tree. He was dressed in his usual suit, but without his tie, and his white shirt had its first three buttons open. A faint smile tugged at his lips as he watched his Alpha carefully, waiting for any reaction on his face, but the man remained completely poker-faced. Tricc stood at the edge of the Greenville Pack, his heart heavy with the weight of rejection. The night of their sixteenth birthday had been etched into his memory, the pain of Dirk's rejection searing through his soul. Unable to bear the constant reminder of his broken dreams, he made the difficult decision to distance himself from Omegas, the source of his pain. He had done his best to avoid all forms of contact with Omegas, but now it seemed he had slowly become an Omega hater. He didn't like to smell them from a mile away. The last Omega's pheromones he inhale
Chapter: 5.******"Rise and shine, pretty boy," said a familiar voice from the doorway. The soft thumping of his feet around the room made the sleeping man's ears twitch to attention. "You've got an early start today, remember?" A small black cat meowed in agreement as she walked into view. The petite figure bent down to pick up the cat. "That's right, Miss Coco," he kissed the cat's head before standing up himself. "Wake Daddy up," he whispered and gently placed the cat on the bed. The cat yawned, stretched, and then walked over to her favorite place to curl up. She curled herself around Seth's neck for comfort, stretched again, and then went still. Seth opened his eyes and smiled, as both the cat and his boyfriend had once again succeeded in disrupting his late morning sleep, as he liked to call it. Gently removing the cat from his neck, he placed her on his lap and sat up with his back against the headboard of the large four-poster bed. His toned skin was lightly glistening with
Chapter: 6.******It was the evening of the charity gala. Kurt entered the ballroom with an armful of flowers, barely able to focus on what Blaine, his personal assistant, was saying. However, that didn't mean he was ignoring him. It had been a long day at the office, and Kurt hadn't even reached his seat when Sarah, his secretary, reminded him of the gala that evening. He tried to hide his disappointment, not really wanting to spend the night in a stuffy room full of wealthy people. But then again, that wasn't why he had agreed to come. In his pursuit of a deeper connection, Kurt stumbled upon a group of individuals dedicated to philanthropy and making a positive impact in the world. Inspired by their passion and altruism, he joined forces with them, utilizing his resources and influence to contribute to various charitable causes. Immersing himself in this new world of giving back, Kurt discovered a sense of purpose that had eluded him for so long. He witnessed first-hand the impa
Chapter: 7.*******"Hello, brothers!" Seth mind-linked and waited for their response. It had been years since they last did this. Their Lycgers were awake now, and the world would slowly begin to make sense. However, their pheromones hadn't returned. Regardless, as long as they could finally connect with their Lycgers, everything should be fine."Seth," came Kurt's calm voice, followed immediately by the tired Tricc."Hello, brothers," Tricc greeted as well."If we're all linking with each other again, it can only mean one thing..." Seth began. Tricc snorted but remained silent. "We all heard our Mate's call, and our sleeping Lycgers have awakened," he stated, pausing to wait for their response. But it seemed as though none was forthcoming. "Well?" he asked, a little annoyed.Tricc cleared his throat and spoke, "Well, nothing."Nodding, Kurt added, "What, he suddenly calls after eighteen years, and we're supposed to run into his arms like lost pups?!" He scoffed. "I'm sorry, brothers
Chapter: 8*******At that moment, all they desired was to speak to him, to help him calm down, but it seemed to be too difficult. Dirk was completely lost to them. It was obvious that he was struggling between his feelings and his instincts, torn between giving in to their commands and submitting to them. With growing concern, they watched as he started trembling. His body shook with both lust and fear, and the Triplets' worry deepened. They couldn't fully comprehend this bond, but they needed to discuss it and find a way to balance their situation. After all, they had been paired by the Goddess, who knows best. "Are you alright?" Tricc asked, moving closer and kneeling in front of the trembling Lion. He reached out a hand but stopped when he saw the Lion flinch away from him. Frowning, Tricc stood back up and took two steps back. "Have it your way," he growled under his breath. "Stop with the pheromones, brothers," Seth reasoned, and the others nodded. "As an Alpha Pride, he coul
Chapter: 9*******The frigid night pursued him relentlessly as he stumbled deeper into the dense forest. With each step becoming increasingly desperate. Tears streamed down his face, obscuring his vision. Determined to keep running despite the ache in his feet and the anguish in his heart, he pressed on. The fire within him consumed his body, leaving no room for rest. He yearned to vanish, to avoid ever having to confront them again. The sight of their pain, their tears, haunted him—they were his mates, and he had betrayed them. As he raced through the woods, their pleas echoed in his mind, reminding him of the pain he had inflicted on them. The blood staining the ground, their Moon markings that he had stolen, the magnitude of his rejection weighed heavily on his conscience. How could he ever face them again? What words could justify the harm he had caused to his other halves? Overwhelmed with emotion, he collapsed for a brief moment, clutching his chest and fighting for breath. H
Chapter: 10*******There was a prolonged silence before Dirk finally spoke, his voice filled with concern. "What is the condition of my leg?" he asked, his arms now free as he sat up slowly. His gaze fell upon his legs, and his eyes widened in shock. The left leg was severely swollen, causing his heart to skip a beat. The other leg had minor scratches and swelling, but the damage to his left leg was far worse. The kneecap had been shattered, revealing a gaping hole through which he could see the bones. The stench emanating from the injury was repugnant, and the pain was excruciating. Memories of the fall flooded his mind, and he fought back tears, whimpering softly as he lay back down. The woman's expression turned sympathetic as she frowned. "I apologize, young one," she murmured. "Are you a human?" she asked."No. I am a Pride," Dirk confessed, revealing his true nature to her. She was the first to learn of this in Qiemont. He noticed her raised eyebrow, clearly intrigued by his re
Chapter: 11*******Vincent sat solemnly at the edge of the cell, his gaze fixed upon the floor. Despite his tall stature, he appeared diminished as he huddled in the corner. Once, his white suit and striped shirt would have been considered pristine, complementing his dark brown hair. However, now they were marred by bloodstains, rendering him almost ghastly in appearance. A trickle of blood ran down his forehead, staining one side of his face. His green eyes, striking against his pale features, briefly met Dirk's before darting back to the wall, a feeble attempt to appear indifferent. Dirk observed him in silence, his frown deepening as he assessed the man's wretched state.Without a word, Dirk entered the cell, startling Vincent, who trembled at his sudden presence. Vincent instinctively moved away, as if hoping to dissolve into the walls behind him. Dirk's frown persisted, but he remained silent, taking a moment to study Vincent's desperate countenance. Their eyes briefly connected

Dirk cradled his son in his arms, sprinting back to the Pack, the distant howls of his mates fading into the background. His mind was ablaze with fury, his son's body hanging limply as if he had transformed into mere paper within his grasp. Doubts gnawed at him — had he erred by casting Talon into the sea? Could this impulsive act have dire consequences for his son's well-being? If Altair was truly the Spirit Wolf responsible for marking Talon, did this mean that hurling Talon into the unforgiving depths would irrevocably impact the life of his only child? As he laid the boy on the bed, Caleb and Phoenix swiftly attended to him. While running, Dirk had summoned them, relieved to find them awaiting his arrival upon reaching the Pack. It wasn't Dirk's call that initially alerted them to the crisis, but rather little Bryn's confession to Phoenix. "I untied the strings on Talon's bedroom door," the tearful girl murmured, her distress evident. "I'm so sorry!" Her plea tugged at Phoen
TALON **** Nine. At the age of nine, I ran out of the blood that sustained me. For a year, I struggled silently, unwilling to reveal how deeply it affected me. I tried to maintain a semblance of normalcy without it, but my efforts only led to restlessness, unconsciousness, and sleepless nights. The cold crept in, the bed felt foreign. Who could I confide in? Who would listen to the plea of a vampire boy thrust into a family where he never belonged? The memory of that fateful day still haunts me. How could I have mercilessly attacked Dirk? I couldn't explain the overwhelming impulse that drove me. The desire to connect with what he possessed consumed me. Did that make me insane? Powerless? A maniac, perhaps. I endured the consequences, tormenting myself night after night. I yearned to reverse time, but it was an irreversible deed. I had to bear the burden for the rest of my days. I had committed a shameful act, sowing seeds of hatred in the hearts of those who professed to love
Altair sat at his favorite spot by the little pond, feeding the fishes gathered around his feet. They nipped on the bread, tickling him and eliciting laughter. He cherished these tiny companions, finding solace in their company when his parents were absent after his school days. While he longed for his parents, he understood the demands of their work. His eighth birthday was approaching, and he anticipated it eagerly. Turning eight meant training with the older children, a prospect that excited him. He yearned to build his strength to confront the boys who often taunted him. Running out of bread, he gazed at his swimming friends with a smile. "You've finished it all. Now, I must attend to my homework!" he exclaimed to the fishes, rising from his seated position by the pond. After brushing off his pants, he hurried through the garden towards the manor as the evening descended, mindful of completing his tasks before dinner. "Altair!" Bryn's voice called out as she spotted him a
Chapter: 94 ******* "What's wrong?" they asked, their faces etched with concern. "I-I... ahh!" He cried out in pain. "Does it hurt?" Tricc inquired, placing a hand on his stomach. Dirk nodded frantically, the pain intensifying. "Okay, we need to go," Tricc declared, swiftly lifting Dirk as if he weighed nothing and hastening to the car, with Seth and Kurt keeping pace beside them. The journey back to the Pack's hospital was frantic, each of Dirk's cries piercing their hearts. The sudden onset of pain and distress, with the baby not expected for another three days and a necessary operation looming, left the Lycgers bewildered. Upon reaching the hospital, Tricc once more cradled their nearly unconscious mate, rushing into the lobby as Seth and Kurt urgently called for Dr. Creiff. Responding to the urgency in their voices, Dr. Creiff quickly appeared, assessing Dirk's condition with a touch to his forehead and recoiling at the heat emanating from the Lion. "What's ha
Chapter: 93 ******** "Where are we going?" Dirk inquired, repeating the question for the fourth time that evening. They had been en route for nearly an hour. It was a Saturday, and he was reluctant to leave the comfort of his bed. Each movement felt like a heavy burden on his legs. Anticipation for the arrival of the baby was high; he longed for a moment of respite. Thoughts of Talon had consumed him since his birthday morning. Although he hadn't laid eyes on the boy since updates on his well-being were frequent. Talon seemed to be adjusting to the daily spoonful of blood. However, as Dirk entered his final month, the looming question emerged: would he still be able to provide a refill once the last bottle ran dry? Nonetheless, arrangements had been made with his mates. They had prepared additional bottles, preserved by Tircc's spells. The issue now lay in the duration these bottles would last before a permanent solution could be found. The precious little angel didn't deserve
Chapter: 92 ******* The Lycgers swiftly assisted their mate to his feet and guided him towards a plush sofa, ensuring he sat comfortably as Tricc tended to the wound inflicted by the boy. "Shall I contact Creiff?" Seth inquired, receiving a confirming nod from Kurt. "We must ascertain the well-being of the child," Tricc added. "How did you get this?!" Phoenix's voice pierced the room, drawing all present gazes towards the boy, now resting limply in Caleb's grasp, while Phoenix scrutinized the mark on his arm. "Talon, can you hear me?" he questioned, but the boy seemed detached from his surroundings. The Lycgers approached to witness the scene, their gasps echoing as they beheld the glowing crimson mark encircling Talon's left forearm, extending to his elbow—the root of it all was a perfectly imprinted mark. "The mark of the Spirit wolf," Tricc whispered, prompting puzzled glances from his brothers, who momentarily forgot his extraordinary abilities. "But how?" Tricc
Chapter: 91******The room was shrugged in darkness, the only light coming from the dim fire that crackled from the furnaces, creating a cozy heat that settled around the body of the young child on the bed. A soft breeze swept through the room and the scent of fresh flowers wafted through the air. The sounds of distant laughter, chirping birds, and the gentle clinking of bottles from outside his opened windows were all heard by Talon. He was no baby, and no matter how much they tried to keep it away, he knew his mother had died. Someone had killed her, and stolen the only family he had left in this world. While his mother had shared tales of his Uncle Dirk, he had never felt close to this unknown relative until he was brought to this household two months ago. Although the pack house is filled with warmth, and a family bond grows amongst all who live within the Estate still, Talon feels lost and unwanted in this place. Despite the kind efforts of those around him to make him feel at
Chapter: 90*******"Andrew who?" Dirk questioned, seeking clarification. Seth took a deep breath and gently held Dirk's hand, speaking softly. "Andrew and I were in a relationship for a while. We met in unusual circumstances and developed feelings for each other. I made it clear that I was mated, even though I hadn't found you yet. Andrew promised to leave once we found you, but he struggled to let go because he had fallen deeply for me..." Dirk's expression darkened as he listened, his gaze locked on Seth's. "I don't want to hear about your exes. It's been a painful experience dealing with them in the past. Please, just tell me how he found Talon and brought him back to us," Dirk requested, trying to hold back tears as his emotions threatened to overwhelm him. Seth felt a pang of regret in his chest and nodded understandingly. "I'm sorry. For everything," he apologized, his voice heavy with remorse. Tears streamed down Dirk's face, his lips trembling. "Damn," he muttered, feelin
