Laura's POV

This wedding is not as I had expected it to turn out. Brandon's eyes are fixed on me, and for the first time in a while, I experienced a gentle feeling. Secure. Hot. He takes my hair back with his fingers and places his forehead against mine. Neither of us speaks a word. The quiet feels like an embrace. An extremely silent one. I wish for it to continue. However, naturally, nothing lovely endures indefinitely.
