Approaching the pack house felt different. Maka wanted to go back to our pups and Ji’lahni, and so did I so the quicker I get this done the quicker we could go back to the clinic. Maka huffed and retreated to the back of my mind. As I entered the pack house I was glad the common area was empty. It is always pretty empty a couple of hours before dinner mainly because the guards that worked the day shift were just getting off and they liked to shower and relax before dinner.
