Amelia.
My eyes widened immediately I heard the words come out of the great Xavier's mouth, and my eyebrows narrowed quickly. I felt my palm sweat and I swallowed uneasily. My chest began the irresistible rhythm, while I watched Alpha Oliver protest against what his father had said. "No, Father!, you can't possibly say this." He protested, his face almost turning red. "You have marked her, haven't you? And you know what the tradition says." "And who cares about tradition that much, dad?" There was a brief silence in the room, as the Great Xavier stared deeply into his eyes, "you remember what happened the last time we went to war?" Alpha Oliver retracted immediately, his shoulders shoved down, and his eyes narrowed. I couldn't tell what the war was about or what might have happened, but I could tell that his father's words were like cold water which flooded down him. "Alright father. I'll do the rightful thing." There was a brief silence, followed by the mild smile on Oliver's lips. "I don't want to attract more of the moon goddess's curse." Oliver muttered. His father smiled widely, and now I was lost, wondering what curse they were talking about. His eyes lifted to me, and I shrugged. All these while I squirmed at the corner, avoiding to make any sounds, not even with my breaths. I felt calmer, when a warm smile carved over his lips again, "Welcome to our family, Amelia." His words were soft but my mind was blown away. What? The great Xavier doesn't despise me? The sweats on my palm increased, I robbed my hands over my dress, breath shutting down. I didn't know how to react, I couldn't even smile back. Alpha Oliver's eyes were stuck on me, attempting to devour me. When the Great Xavier realized that I was going to freeze if he didn't leave, he walked closer to where I was and tugged my shoulders gently. "Make yourself comfortable, you'll soon be Luna." His eyes blinked hastily, his lips still curled up. That would be the warmest smile I had seen all my life. I managed to nod, then finally he headed out of the door. That would have been a great time to exhale the whole air that had piled up my system, but Oliver was still in front of me. His dreaded eyes plastered on me. "Prepare for the party, tomorrow. " His voice croaked and he stormed out of the room. I sloughed over the seat immediately, trying to catch my breath back. II had never seen an eye so dreadful. I lifted the plates immediately, my legs moving to return the sandwich which the Alpha had abandoned, but I felt a strong pull into a very beautifully decorated room, with lots of strange smiles. "You need to look nothing but absolutely perfect for our Alpha. " One of the women said, before pushing me over to the bed. It was a queen sized bed. The decorations of the room screamed royalty. The sweet scent of the candle, the chandelier and the artworks were perfect enough to calm anyone. There were about 3 ladies in the room. I haven't seen them in my few stay in the pack, but with their dressing, I could tell they were prominent people in the palace. "What on earth is going on here?" I managed to ask, fighting the hands that held me, the others had started pulling off my clothes, while they wore me a very beautifully colored dress. It was a long yellow dress that screamed royalty. The jewelry flew over my neck, still no one cared to reply to me. "What on earth is going on here?" I howled, as everyone seemed to ignore, "You are going to be crowded Luna today." "But it's not today, the Alpha said..." "The Alpha later changed his mind." Oliver's voice trickled into the room, and suddenly, I felt my inside melt. He held my hands immediately, the women had all bowed to him and stood at the door. "I realized I couldn't wait to make you mine." He whispered, his lips kissing my cleavages. Drops of water caressed my under, and my stomach made a huge yearning. "Don't you think it's better?" He asked rhetorically, making a nod, for the women to go ahead with the dressing. Shortly, I was perfectly dressed and my makeup done. I walked into the arena, to go sit beside my Alpha, and I could feel the glory of the starmoon pack pour over me. The Great Xavier, the pack elders and some of the members of the pack, were in attendance. They all stood as I walked towards the throne. Their eyes on me in admiration. Shortly, after a brief process the crown was placed on my head, followed by a resounding applause. I couldn't even place my feelings. Everything was happening so fast. Alpha Oliver's gesture earlier on had miraculously calmed my nerves, at least I felt I accepted by him. But strangely, I turned to him, again, hoping he would hold my hands, that was what happened in ceremonies like this, but my chest tightened when he scoffed. "Don't lay your hands on me."My back laid against a cold stone, my breath, battling the heavy stench which hung in the air. The air was frigid, and I found myself shivering in this gloomy room. I attempted to lift my head from the stone as soon as I was about to move my body, but my face struggled with cobwebs. I pulled it off, as I bolted for the available exit which was a dark door that led to a barely illuminated room Range of broken tables, and chairs, laid on the floor, the walls laced with broken mirrors at about every centimeter. Suddenly, I felt an uneasy pricking that someone was watching, and when my eyes flashed over the mirrors, my reflection casted a wave of fear down my spine. "Who is there?" I croaked, voice bathed in fear, gulping. I felt a breath caress my shoulders. The stench of rotten meat became stronger and my heart begged to jump out. I turned quickly, but there was no one there. My breath still hung in agony. My legs searched for another exit, but the more I walked, the long
I turned towards the door immediately, but no one was there. And when my hands ran over my body, there were no more wounds. I ran to the mirror immediately, to my surprise I was now looking normal. I had no cuts whatsoever, neither were my eyes blazing black. I sank on the bed, wondering what was going on with me. How did I manage to get those wounds, the blazing? And who comes to heal my wounds all the time? I sat up, pulling out the jewelry I had, about to dash into the bathroom. I didn't have any more time, I was made to make my first appearance at the grand function this morning by 10am and it was already 9am. I didn't know I had slept this much. As I stripped off the remaining pieces in my under, and about to make my way to the bathroom, I heard a click on the door. Fear sprang over me, I had forgotten to lock the door. But the sight of the Alpha sent a soothing caress over me. He was the only man who's presence had such dominance on me. His face had a warm smile
The rope pulled me against every stones and woods that were on the road. My body sustaining injuries in the process. "Who are you?" I whimpered as the pull sent excruciating pains over me. "You'll soon find out." A deep voice sneered, not bothering to look back. "I am Luna, let me go now! Or face the wrath of my crown!" I roared, my voice determined to scare him, but he didn't bat an eye, instead, he increased the force which he dragged the rope. Shortly, we were approaching a big stone on the floor, "watch-" My words were cut shut as I hit my head on it. All I could remember was my vision going blurry and I drifted into a deep sleep. I woke up in a very dim room, brewing cold. My hands tied with a heavy rope to the ceiling, and my legs hung in the air. I could barely see, but I felt a band over my head, and blood stains on the collar of my jacket. I had no idea of how long I had passed out, and how much blood I had lost. I was now extremely tired. Suddenly
"Oh my!" I cried as blood gushed from the heads on the floor. The sight sending shivers over me. "This is gory" I muttered, eyes shut immediately, but the sight didn't stop playing various scenes in my imagination. "Are you Okay?" A masculine voice asked after he ran back to where I was tied like a goat, panting, he said "one of them escaped, shit!" "Oh, you're hurt. " He said, his concerned eyes running over me. My eyes were still shut, while I shook like a leaf. "You're in safe hands now, and you can open your eyes." He promised. I struggled to open my eyes, body still vibrating terribly, and the first thing my eyes saw was the most charming eyes I had ever seen. His blue eyes ran over me in concern, making sure to convince me that he was totally harmless. His hands flew to the ceiling immediately and in a matter of seconds I dropped to his body, my hands hurting. "You're bleeding so bad." He reached towards Amy's body on the floor and tore some pieces f
He pushed the door further after my hands left it, his legs walking into the room."Where have you been?"His voice growled again.I stood fixed at the spot, not knowing what to say.His eyes ran over my body. I was naked, but it didn't move him like the other times."Have you gone deaf, Amelia? You were meant to appear at the function with me, weren't you?"He asked, while his eyes desperately searched for answers. "I-I'm sorry, I stepped out because I had an emergency."I stammered, but he wouldn't buy it ."What stupid emergency do you think is more important than what we had today?"He watched me go dumb again, then he hissed."Don't bother, I'll find out where you have been myself. "He snapped and began to walk towards the door.I chased after him, "wait.""I- I want to ask you something. "I stammered. I didn't realize I was this scared of him.My heart began to beat faster as soon as I tried to speak, being so scared to mention the things I had in mind.He turned to face me,
"Okay, fine, I'll tell you who I am because I don't bite."He rolled his eyes in between his words and leaned further towards the table."My name is Damian Thorne like I told you earlier, and I am Alpha's cousin.""Oh wow!"I exclaimed, head nodding emphatically. The way he spoke was so charming that it took me a while to realize that I was supposed to ask him why he didn't tell me who he was the first time he met me and rescued me.So, I decided to ask.Tightening my face to make an appearance like I wasn't happy with him, I said, "why didn't you tell me when we first met?""I-I figured out it would be better if I surprised you just like I did now."He paused and licked his lips the way he had done it countless times since he joined me at the table, and I smiled inwardly. "Tell me you weren't surprised?""You sure did achieve your goal, Damian, and I'm proud of you."I admitted causally and we both bursted into laughter. He pushed the package closer to me again, beckoning me to op
"Uhmm--that was thoughtful of me isn't it?"Damian said gleefully.Picking up the large spoon, he began to dish his meal with those large masculine hands of his.And now my eyes moved from him to the Alpha.Wasn't the Alpha's tone interrogative, or was I the only one feeling this much tension?I pouted my mouth to release some warm air, hence relieving tension, while reminding myself that they were cousins and definitely understood each other better.Damian spoke again after giving the Alpha a dark stare. This made me begin to understand that there might be some friction in their relationship. "Come on, Oliver, isn't this the part where your grumpy self tells me a thank you?"He asked with a mild chuckle while the rest of his attention descended on the scrambled eggs on the table. The Alpha scoffed and said,"Let me see that."He grabbed the watch from me forcefully. I was lucky not to have sustained an injury from his grumpy self.Damian was right. I have been trying to find the wor
Oliver's eyes pressed down heavily on me. His dark brows arched dangerously as he waited for me to speak and let him know why I had called him back. The room had become gravely silent with only the sounds of his heavy breaths heard."I--uh, I wanted to say--uhm."All my tongues did was stammer while he watched me with utmost disgust. His fist had curled up and I watched him move towards me in a dangerous manner."I--uh-- I wanted to say that I'm-"My tongue froze again and my eyes blinked vigorously.Didn't know I was this scared of the man I called my husband, my mate and my Alpha. "You can't speak?"He asked harshly, the tune of his voice showing that I was clearly wasting his time."Uhm--I'm sorry I called you, never mind."I finally forced some words out of my mouth thinking it was the best thing to do, not knowing that I had just created problems by myself. Oliver's hands reached for my jaw immediately. With the way he held it, I could tell he wasn't trying to twist it to cau
"Is everything okay?"I asked as I followed him to the bathroom. Oliver leaned over the bathroom door by the time I stepped in. He was staring himself in the mirror with so much confusion written on his face. His eyes were still dark black and it didn't take me long to realize that I might be aware of what was going on.If what Sane told me was true, then that might be what was affecting the Alpha. But she had said I had absorbed his curse instead, so why was he still having strange transformations. My eyes quickly went through my body to see if scars might have started reappearing, but there was none, leaving me more confused. "I think-"I bit my lips. I was seriously thinking if I should tell him or would it cause me more trouble. My chest beat faster as I forced myself to make up my mind and come to a decision. While still thinking, Oliver's hands wrapped my waist. He bit his lips gently and pulled me closer to him."You know why I decided to ground you?"His words came, as hi
I heard a knock on my room before the door was opened almost immediately My eyes rose quickly to see whoever that would be at the door.It was just about an hour ago that one of the maids entered to drop off my meal.It was a plate of sandwich and dark chocolate. I had grinned lightly when the meal came.Dark chocolates were my favorite snack, although it was a weird coincidence that it was offered on a bad day like that.I remember I had never told anyone in the pack of my love for dark chocolates, so I found it very weird that they'd be served that day.Oliver walked into the room where he made the guards to ground me.That would be him coming in to check on me for the past twenty hours that I was in there with nobody to talk to.I scoffed at the sight of him, sinking back into the bed, I continued reading the magazine that kept me company all these while."Your ground time is over, Luna. I want you to dress sexy for me tonight. We'll be visiting one of my local clubs."His words
