Skye's POV

"You look pale. Are you really okay Skye? We can drop by at the infirmary and get you checked you know." Keira was rattling nonstop since we got out of the alley.

My heart was still beating fast even after we arrived at the pack grounds.

"I'm fine Keira." I tucked in a strand of my hair to my ears, looking around, anxious that the man might have followed us here.

"If your sure then I won't press." She caressed my shoulder and hugged me. "I have to go, dad's looking for me and he'll surely raise hell if I stall longer here." She chuckled at the last part and started jogging away.

"Bye..." I waved my hand and stood there a few seconds. And when she was gone, I immediately strutted fast, going to Alec's house.

I initially didn't want anyone to know what happened, but I can't just stay quiet knowing that the man might be after Alec's family, especially since he knows me, about us being mated to each other.
