Chapter 17

I almost forgot about the accident that happened last night. The events of the morning transpired so swiftly and magically that I was completely unaware of the itchiness that was spreading across my brain. But all of a sudden, the pain became much severe. Atlas was correct; I required some shut-eye.

I then made my way back to the room that was located in the servant quarters. The room was extremely cramped but was immaculately clean. It didn't matter to me how little the room was since as soon as I walked in, I got into bed and attempted to relax.

But my mind didn't let me relax at all. I was only able to rest for a little while before the ideas began to crowd my mind. Today, right before I entered the room, my mother was removed from her bedroom by medical personnel. How come everything fell into place at the perfect moment? It's possible that the fact that Ryder and Julie were away is the explanation. But despite this, everything appeared strange and disorganized.
