CHAPTER 11

A new week has just begun and I was awaiting a new list. Hopefully, I won't be sent back to the east wing. The other girls lounged in the room as only a few had gone out for the day's work. After sitting for a long while, just waiting around, I got dressed and exited the room. The kitchen was not as busy as it usually was. I scanned the area for Agnia but I couldn't spot her.

“Hello, have you seen Agnia?” I tapped a girl and asked.

“Lady Agnia?”

“Right, lady Agnia”

“Down the hall, she's giving out the lists for duties”

“Thank you” she didn't respond and went back to her duties.

I went down the hall and I saw Agnia with a group of girls surrounding her. I got in line as she handed out the list until it got to my turn.

“I don't remember summoning you for duties today”

“You've never summoned me, I always show up on Mondays to get my list in the kitchen”

“Didn’t you wonder why there are only a few people doing duties today? I'm sure you saw other girls relaxing”
