The pack gathered into a small group at the center of the clearing while the enemy closed in on us, armed with bows and a few spears.

"Close them in!" Called one of the elves, while he and his compatriots continued to move forward. I gazed around, realizing we were trapped.

"What's the meaning of all this!?" I shouted, alerted by their hostility. The elves ceased their movement at my words and seemed to gaze but I couldn't quite depict their emotion.

From my left, I noticed Cade also had a confused look, but I didn't pay much attention to it and focused more on the situation at hand. We were startled when the sound of large hooves trampling the ground approached and, bursting from the bushes, an enormous white deer with golden antlers trotted towards us. Immediately, the surroundings troops went in "garde-a-vous". As the deer walked by, I noticed a raven haired elf was seated on it's back, his leafy green eyes starring down at me. Ciel was mounting an enormou

Ciel gently held my arm as we made our way beneath the gigantic tree towards its center while the remaining guards and the Raven haired guided the pack towards what I had to assume were the dungeons. As I turned my gaze back ahead, I noticed multiple large roots dangled from beneath, most large enough for a human to sit on. "Sit down." Gestured Ciel to one of the roots and I sat down, a little unsettled at first as I adjusted my balance. He smiled and I think he was trying to reassure me but it just came out as really awkward. "Don't let go." Oh trust me, I wouldn't let go of this thing even if my hand was chopped off... I nodded at his words and he placed his palm against the rough surface of the root. His palm started to emanate a green hue and the root suddenly started to lift itself up with me sitting on it. I was startled and amazed at the same time, clutching my grasp around the roots so I wouldn't fall. It took a while to reach the actual entrance, but

"Son." The raven haired elf nodded to Ciel, then settled his icy blue eyes on me. "This is the female you spoke about?" His voice boomed across the room, and sounded much more menacing now that we were in a closed area. Even my Wolf felt a little intimated but she stood her ground and lent me her courage. I looked down and gave a clumsy bow. "Your majesty."Is that what I'm supposed to say...? I've never been in front if royalty before... When I stood back up, the white haired queen stood up and walked down the steps towards me. She gently passed her hand across my cheek, then gazed at my eyes, my face and my body, apparently examining or assessing me. Although she was quite meticulous, I could feel some sort of strong emotion emanate from her... something similar to grief or nostalgia... Could it be that I reminded her

I smiled at Valor's words and Ciel kindly pulled out a chair for me while his parents sat down. I took my seat, facing the king and queen, while Ciel sat down beside me. The table was decorated with fruits, veggies and cheeses of all kinds, some I've never seen before in my life, actually. Star shaped green fruits, red spiky ones, pineapples, grapes, apples, strawberries, name it! They had it all. Yet their wasn't a single scrap of meat anywhere, nothing even close to it. Despite my Wolf's whimpers for her favorite treat, I subdued her demands and didn't ask, by sheer politeness. Guess the royal family is vegetarian...? "This looks delicious." I complimented, waiting for the king and queen to take their food. Instead they simply looked at me, smiling calmly which made me all the more uncomfortable.

I don't know how much time had passed since I was locked up in my room, but it felt like an eternity. Nobody answered my calls over the link and after what I think was an hour at most, I gave up and slumped at the edge of my bed. I had already checked every inch of the room which only confirmed it was pointless to even try to escape; the window was way too high to jump out of and the door way was covered with thorns, not to mention the two elven guards posted there. I was completely isolated from the world with no one to turn to. I event tried to get information from the guards, or at least know what I did wrong, but none of them even moved or seemed to acknowledge my presence. I don't know how many hours I spent in that room, but finally, I heard movement at the front of my doorway, on the other side of the vines. "At ease." I heard the voice of King Valor say as a response to the guards and the vines retracted into the wall as I stood up, gazing at the King while h

Clinging for dear life, I watched as Zed clawed and ripped at the monster's back, tearing its flesh apart as it tried to shake itself free. The monster then swung its giant arm and clamped it's claws into Zed's shoulder, sending the scout flying into a tree. To my horror, Zed's body went limp on impact, blood seeping out of a wound on his head, but I couldn't tell whether he was dead or unconscious. Enraged, I heard Cade growl before he jumped head first to attack, while the monster blindly charged at Zed for a finishing move. I watched as Cade fought claw to claw with the beast, somehow unable to move from my spot. As he went for the throat, Cade was attacked from the side and pinned to the ground, the creature holding his head down with his powerful paw. A yelp of pain escaped the blond wolf's throat, but my eyes couldn't move away from the beast. As hard as I tried, I was no longer in control, somehow, it felt like my Wolf had taken over my body and no longer answ

When I regained consciousness, my entire body felt as heavy as a rock. I was numb and a little cold, but I was mostly exhausted and hungry. My back felt slightly warmer and my left side was sore, uncomfortably pressed against a rugged surface. I was so disoriented, I could barely open my eyes. I felt my Wolf wake up and I was relieved to know she was okay, albeit sore and drained of al her strength. I groaned, feeling a sudden irritation around my neck. I brought a hand up to my throat and touched the skin, which made me hiss when it hurt at the contact of my finger. Felt like I was burnt in that area... Careful, I slowly began to move my limbs around, warming myself up while I took deep, but shivering breaths. That's when I noticed I was completely naked and crossed my arms over my chest, shaking from the cold. What the heck happened...? Where is everyone? Concerned I couldn't detect anyone's presence, I took a look around realizing I was inside some sort of

I was so frustrated, I didn't even bother stopping her when she replaced the logs, she can waste her time for all I care; I know it's a lost c— son of a bitch... my eyes grew wide in complete stupor when flames rose from the moss and slowly grew onto the wood, consuming it. I had to look away and hide my reaction as the girl gazed over her shoulder like some kid eagerly awaiting a reaction from their parents. I could only thank Selene that the others weren't around, I could practically hear Ryder's mocking voice already... What's wrong Alpha? Need a lil'lady to get your fire going? Anything else ya need help starting up, haha! I was pulled out of my thoughts when the Omega stepped out of the cave and headed toward the forest. "H-hey!" I quickly caught up and grabbed her arm. "Where are you going? - To catch some food." She responded, barely looking at my face. What the hell is wrong with her!? "Pfft, as if you can catch us anything; unless yo

His arm was but skin and bones, a fragile twig struggling to hold its own weight as he caressed my face. I joined my han to hold his, kissing the tender skin of his palm. "Trevor..." My voice quivered with emotion, fueled by rage and grief at the sight of his weakened condition. "What have they done to you?!"His lips lifted into a smile, the same one I've known for many years. "What took you so long?" He teased, ginger locks falling into a tangled mess over his eyes. "I was beginning to believe you've forgotten me. - Never! Never in a million moons." A choked laugh leaped out of my throat, mixed with sobs and sighs of relief. I quickly fondled into the set of keys Zak had given me, rushing you find the right key to Trevor's cell. My gaze averted to the nearest window of the kitchen, dreams of the past coming back to haunt me. That look she gave me...it stung my very core. If only I could've seen her again, explain everything! No... No. You're a fucking coward Zed. You've always been and that's what you'll always be. My fathers words echoed at my temples like a ghost from my past whispering to my ear. He's right... My wolf tugged at our bond, whimpering silently as I sunk further into my mind, wishing nothing else but to be swallowed whole and forgotten. I wanted to be erased from the earth, left behind for the beasts to devour and clense my sins. "You're such a dumbass!" That laugh... Fuck, I love that laugh. His laugh. I miss it... I miss everything about him. The ring rolled between my fingers, ice cold compared the damp heat of my skin. I stared intently at the jewelry, a beautiful rainforest green topaze- his favorite. I swallowed bitterly, stuffing my prized possession in the deepest crevace of my poc

Minutes felt like hours left trapped in this dam room. So many questions were left unanswered. How did he appease Jace? Why lock up Jace? Did they see him as a threat? I struggled to ease my mind and caught myself walking in circles. I couldn't even find any clue as to where I was as every thing was completely foreign to me, from the trees, to the smells, even the furniture within the hut were unlike anything I've ever seen before. "... Strangers into the grove." I perked my head to the sound of a muffled voice followed by heavy foot steps. "Do you have the slightest idea what you brought to camp? You may have a kind heart Sebastien, but your judgement is still greatly flawed. - I understand, i-it was a misjudgment Sir, I will not do it again. If I may ask however, what will you do?" • The Alpha's Omega   Author's note

Hello readers! First and foremost, I'd like to apologize for the sudden silence on TAO's updates; some IRL events occurred and left us unable to update the series for much longer than we initially planned. We're incredibly happy to return and see the book has managed to gain such a huge number of readers, more than ANY of our works have gained prior to this one! With that in mind, we are incredibly excited to announce a sequel is currently in the works and will be released as a second half to this story with the hopes of eventually creating a third and final installment within the far future. In the meantime, we will be reviewing the current released chapters as they are outdated and have been published in their "draft" form. It is then highly recommended to re-read the story as a refresher to the story's events and as of means to update yourself on the lore. TAO final 3 chapters will be released this weekend, alongside the beginning of book 2: Cursed Souls and Lost Heirs. Thank yo

My entire body was numb from the cold floor, it's icy touch freezing my skin and muscles. My eyes darted around, unable to figure out where I was.By then, an agonizing pain bloomed in my head, temples screaming at every heart beat. I gave out but a small groan, unable to feel or move my body.
