All weekend, I eagerly awaited Monday, when we would finally resume school. My dreams were becoming reality as I kept making lists, planning, and feeling tingles all over, daydreaming of walking into the hallway. 

But all of that excitement died on Monday morning. I feared that something would happen to screw things up, and my nerves were heightened because we were so hated by the other werewolves in the pack that they would give anything to not have to breathe the same air as us. 

Everyone was nervous, and I remembered past incidents in which we’d been harassed. I tried to calm down and remain optimistic, but my thoughts would not stop, and I knew we were in serious trouble.

As Omegas, newly accepted into the pack, we were stepping into the unknown and uncertain of what to expect. The gray clouds predicted a miserable day, pouring cats and dogs.
