Chapter Sixty-Six
Kyra-
I couldn’t believe I had pulled it off. Managing to walk out of that office holding onto my composure had to have been the hardest thing I had ever done. If it hadn’t been for Alexia talking me into letting him stay, I think I probably would have told him to leave. Alexia thought it would be a good idea to keep him around.
For several reasons, mainly so I can learn more about where I came from. I had always thought that my father was just a wolf, but I could feel the power oozing off him. Not quite as strong as Selene. From what I did know was that Selene was a Goddess, but did that make my father a God? I mean I guess, but while he gave off the presence of a God, he wasn’t just that.

Kyra- Waking up in Hunter’s office, I was a bit disappointed that he still hasn’t returned yet. Getting up, I put up the blanket and pillows and headed to the kitchen. Hunter- I am such an idiot. I wanted Kyra with a burning passion, but I had to remember she wasn’t someone I can just take in the heat of the moment. She was pure and I almost deflowered her on the workout bench. She deserved so much better than that, what in the hell was I thinking? I had lost control with her, and I couldn’t do that with her. I was struggling to keep my distance from her, her arousal was intoxicating. I could smell how wet she was from nearly clear across the room. If I hadn’t stopped when I did, I would have claimed her right then and there, the hell with the repercussions. I was nearly panting from the lack of breath I couldn’t seem to catch. I needed to regain control, she was sitting there with my scent all over here and her lips were swollen from how hard I had been kissing her. Her cheeks were flushed, and her hair was a hot mess. She looked sexy and it was taking every bit of strength I possessed to not attack her and claim her.

The Alpha King- “Come on Kyra. Push back.” I said as Kyra slammed against the wall for the twentieth time this morning. “Do you have to be so hard on her?” Hunter asked, I could hear the frustration in his voice. I know Kyra insisted on Hunter being her, but he was starting to get on my last nerve. I was trying to teach Kyra how to control her energy, but Hunter kept distracting her and babying her. The Alpha King- All throughout lunch, I listened to Kyra’s questions in regard to her mother and I. Overall they seemed just like any type of questions you would ask someone when getting to know them. I answered them as best as I could and by the time we finished eating, Kyra seemed more relaxed. It was hard not getting my hopes up that she would soon see me as her father. “Oh no.” Kyra said as the waitress brought the bill to the table and cleared the dishes off. “What?” I asked, taking another drink of my water. “I forgot to ask Hunter to lend me some money.” She said, looking more embarrassed than I thought she should. My question was, why the hell did she have to ask anyone for money? I know damn well Selene left a large trust fund in her name that she should have received immediately.
