CHAPTER TWO.

Reign rested her forehead on her bent knees, with her arms wrapped around them. She had been in that cold, dark cell for a very long time and it seemed no one was coming to see her anytime soon. The only source of light in the room was a single ray of sunlight, peering from the corners of the closed window that was far north of the room. She was cold, hungry and scared. She was shivering because she had never had such an experience before.

She was born in a royal household and was the only child of her parents. She was the future Alpha of her father’s pack. She was adored back at her Pack. No one dared to look her in the eyes because they knew severe consequences always accompanied such a disrespectful act. Growing up, she had numerous servants at her service who assisted her in doing almost everything. She was the pride of her parents and had always been treated like the princess she was, but within the twinkle of an eye, everything had changed.

The Alpha of Alphas had barged into their royal household and accused her parents of a heinous crime. A crime they were innocent of and had taken her captive despite the fact that she was his mate.

She had cried about the matter to the point where her lacrimal glands were exhausted and could no longer produce tears. Her head was pounding in pain and the dress she had on was not keeping her warm in any way.

The cell was empty and extremely cold. She was shivering in both fear and cold and she knew was going to fall ill if she was not taken out of there in the next few minutes.

The sound of heavy footsteps and keys jingling snapped her out of her thoughts and she raised her head up to look at the door. The footsteps stopped and she could hear a click. Bright light shone from above. The light was blinding. It was so bright that it obscured her vision and she had to quickly close her eyes and stare at the ground.

The sound of locks and keys filled the empty room and soon, she heard the padlock click open and the iron barred door was thrown open. The person who unlocked the door stepped into the cell.

The empty cell suddenly didn’t feel so empty again.

Reign lifted her head to see who had opened the door for her and the sight of Alpha Kai sent chills down her spine as she watched him walk towards her with an eternal frown masked on his face. When he was close, he stooped in front of her, staring deep into her eyes like he was about to fish out her deepest, darkest secret.

She could see raw hatred and rage in his eyes. There was no iota of warmth in them as he looked at her and she didn’t need to be told that the man loathed her entire existence despite the fact that they were mates.

Without uttering a word, he stretched his hand forward like he had done back at her father’s castle, but this time around, he did not grab her chin, he grabbed her completely disheveled hair and yanked her head so she was looking at his face. Reign whimpered in pain, but she dared not say something that would cause her oppressor to do worse things to her. Tears formed and spilled from her eyes. Her nerves spread the pain that came from the powerful grasp all over her body. She was pretty uncomfortable.

“Please.” She whispered the word without even realising it. They were staring into each other's eyes. Reign’s was filled with pain and sorrow, but that of Alpha Kai was filled with nothing but complete contempt and the need for revenge. “You are hurting me.” She cried out and Alpha Kai only tightened his hold on her hair, causing her to cry out loud.

“Say that one more time and I'll make sure to root out a chunk of your hair.” He sneered, his voice thick with rage.

He looked down at his beautiful mate and swallowed dryly when a feeling of regret rushed through him. Her pheromone was raiding his mind, her beauty was taking his breath away, but he did not want to give into any of those things.

Her pack had betrayed him and she needed to pay. She was going to pay!

He let go of her hair and grabbed the back on her neck, his eyes trailed down to her exposed neck and collar bone. The princess dress she had on showed a lot of cleavage that caused him to gulp nervously. His cock twitched in his trousers, the butterflies in his stomach rose. He buried his face in her neck and inhaled her sweet pheromone. Reign quivered in fear. Electric sparks exploded in her body when she felt his lips brush against her collarbone, down to her cleavage that was exposed.

“Please…” she cried, but he didn’t stop. He raised his free hand and placed them on her firm breast, causing her to jolt in fear. He squeezed the left breast and circled her nipples hidden in the fabric of the dress with his rough fingers. Pain seared through her as he kept squeezing her nipples and trailing hot kisses down her cleavage.

Reign could only cry and wish that it would and soon.

“Hermione Reign Angelis.” He called her full names as he backed away from her, his voice void of any emotions. Reign crawled backwards on her butt, trying to get away from the tyrant, but stopped when her back hit a hard surface behind her. It was the wall. There was definitely no running away from her oppressor. “Your parents orchestrated the assassination of my beloved mother and even after that, they have the audacity to deny it to my face…”

“That’s because they are innocent. They didn’t do it!” Reign spoke back on behalf of her parents.

Alpha kai chuckled, but the smile on his face didn’t last a second. He grabbed her neck and plastered her head against the wall, almost squeezing the air from her lungs. Reign gasped for breath and tried to get his hand off her neck in vain. She opened her mouth and struggled to breath, but her strained throat became itchy as a result of the pressure exerted on it and she choked instead,

“You are still denying it!” Alpha kai roared and pushed her to the ground. Reign burst into tears and struggled to sit upright again. “The bond between us is definitely a sign that I am allowed to do whatever I want with you. Reign, you will pay for father’s sins and you will pay dearly. I will not reject you as my mate. I shall make you my wife by law as I should, but I will show you hell before I send you to it. You will be my servant, you will cater for my needs and when I say all my needs, I mean everything, including my sexual needs. You will be my sex slave. I will have you whenever I want, however and wherever and you will have no objections. I will make sure you feel ten times the pain I feel right now.” Reign shuddered as she listened to the man list the punishments he had for her.

“I…” He placed his right hand on her thigh and pushed up the dress she had on. Her thighs were exposed and he could see the pink underwear she had on. He smiled and brushed his hand over ler leg, up to her thighs and v-region.“I… will make you pay!” He whispered in a husky voice and pushed her away. He rose to his feet and looked down at the crying girl with a satisfied smirk plastered on his face.

He was satisfied that he was making her suffer for her father’s crimes. He enjoyed watching every teardrop fall from her eyes. Her sobs sounded like music to his ears and he could listen to them all day long.

“It starts tonight!”

He turned around and marched out of the room like the huge lethal wolf he was.
