Gasps and confused shouts filled the air as Eleanor descended to the field towards Layla. Her golden, wavy hair danced in the light wind as sunshine poured from the sky, and her smile was bright and warm.

“Let’s go home,” she said, stretching out her hand to Layla.

“Stop them!” Demeter yelled as guards rushed into the field, and Layla quickly grabbed Eleanor’s hand.

The power-binding choker whirled through the air towards Eleanor, but it shattered and scattered as a warm, bright light encompassed the two girls. Layla held on to Eleanor as they began to rise back into the air.

“Layla!” Zayne yelled, rushing to the field through the confused and terrified crowd already rushing out of the stadium.

“Zayne,” she whispered, turning to look at him, but all she could see was light. In a second, it was gone, and she was in a cosy living room.

‘Is this… is this…’ she stumbled forward as her thoughts turned muddled and she swayed to and fro. Black spots filled her vision, and voices rose around
