Chapter 36

I woke up feeling more refreshed and energized. Richard was snoring beside me, his arms loosely wrapped around me, his legs carelessly thrown over my body, and his messy hair all over the place. I was itching to run my hand through it.

He looked so relaxed and peaceful in his sleep. Hot air escaped from his slightly opened mouth. Purple discoloration was littered all over his neck from where I had bit him.

A shadow was forming on his jaw, and it was giving him an edgy look. Unable to resist, I reached out to smooth his eyebrows. I am jealous. How can his eyebrows be better than mine? His eyebrows were long and soft, well aligned, as if he had trimmed them. But he had reassured me that he didn't do any of that when I questioned him.

I watched the soft lashes that framed his eyes. It was long and curled. He had a long, pointed nose that fit his small face. He shifted closer and I froze, my hand hanging in the air.

"Have you finished gawking at me?" He suddenly whispered as he opened
