Aria POV

I opened my eyes again to my father’s voice saying: “Did you like it Aria?”

I was in our car, my parents talked and laughed as I sat in the back seat. We were out tonight for dinner. They celebrated their anniversary and decided to have dinner in a nice place in the city instead of staying home. We had a good time and enjoyed the night. I stared outside of the window at the falling snow. I was just upset a little because Nick was supposed to come but he felt sick at the last minute.

“Of course she did. This restaurant is her favorite” my mom laughed and turned her head to look at me with a warm smile. Before I could reply back or say anything. Dad suddenly stepped on the brakes, stopping the car, the tires screamed loudly and I almost hit my head.

“Dad” I called out and then my mom turned to me again asking: “Are you okay?”

I nodded my head and turned to look outside and see why we stopped. There were five men standing a few meters away from us. My father opened the door sa

Klaus POVOur trip back was silent. After Aria told me all about her lost memory and how her parents actually died, she was unusually silent. I thought she was a little shaken by the whole thing but something changed about her. Her eyes hid a lot inside and I was getting concerned. It took us all day the next day to get out of the Holy Ruins. It was almost night time as we reached the borders again. Just as we were about to step outside, white smoke surrounded us. I stood right next to Aria as something materialized in front of us. Aria gasped loudly: “It’s her. The spirit that saved you” I relaxed a little and that spirit just stood there staring at us without saying anything. Slowly we stepped out, once we did Aria grabbed my hand saying: “Get us the hell out of here”I teleported back to the villa and she went straight to our room without a word. I called Sam and he reported back all what happened and asked if we would go to the celebration tonight. I looked up the stairs and told

Klaus POVLights went out and we sat under the brightening moonlight. Silence surrounded us all like a blanket. Slowly and confidently, Elene, Nick and Marcus stepped on the stage with a silver cloak on his shoulders that had the pack sign on the back of it. Elene and Nick stood on the side while Marcus stood in the middle waiting for the priest of the Moon Goddess to come and bless him as an Alpha. After that King Henry would step as well to officially announce him alpha. The process was simple and direct especially when there were no fights among the pack for the position. Otherwise, there would be challenges and combats.I looked at Aria and knotted my brows. She had a smile on her face and her eyes sparkled mischievously that I didn’t see when the priest started praying and the whole pack started repeating after him announcing their agreement of this alpha fit to lead them. When I turned my head again Marcus was already on one knee in front of the priest while Nick stood on his r

Aria POV I stood in front of everyone and I could feel their questioning eyes on me. They wanted to know everything but I couldn’t just barge in and accuse Marcus and Nick of killing my parents with no evidence. They had full trust in them. I never wanted to be the alpha or even thought about it but I was hungry for revenge. Taking everything from them was the most lethal thing I could do and I wasn’t finished yet. “Alpha Klaus” King Henry called his name and only then people started to notice his presence even though I could feel it with every passing second. Klaus turned his head to him: “Yes” “Are you aware of the consequences of this decision on your pack?” I looked at Klaus and he just answered back without even thinking about it for a second: “It’s an honor to reach glory hand in hand with the Silver pack” Then he turned his head to Nick: “The Black Luna can do all she wants and Black will comply” He never hesitated to back me up or defend me. Such a decision should have b

Aria POVKathrine… The ambassador from hell. After what happened yesterday I had expected that she would definitely pay me a visit. I just didn’t expect it to be the next morning. I gulped down hard and watched her walk arrogantly in her high heels with a killing gaze. She was thirsty for my blood. There was no doubt that this woman could send an army of men running for their lives with just one look. She stood right in front of me and like the last time eyed me up and down disgusted:“I warned you about using him and now you are using the whole pack to save yours. You want to tarnish our reputation and drag us down”I pressed my lips together and didn’t say a thing as she continued:“This union isn’t going to happen no matter what. I’ll make sure of that and don’t you dare about scheming again”Magy stood behind her watching the whole thing happening. I nodded to her to go back to her work and she ran back to the kitchen like a scared mouse. I sat down on the couch and said: “Have a

Klaus POV“This is Elijah, he’s my beta”I shook his hand, as Aria continued: “My real beta not Marcus of course”“Elijah, meet alpha Klaus. My mate”“It’s an honor to meet you, Alpha,” he said.We all sat down and talked about the pack and how things have been in the past years. He told us how Marcus dealt with everything and how he forced many to leave the pack, looking for a better life. He also said that there was something shady about him that no one understood. He gave us a lot of inside information. In the end I had to admit that he was a good man and a good choice for a beta but still we agreed to keep it a secret till we dealt with Marcus and his son first. After he left, I stared at Aria for a few seconds before asking: “How come you never mentioned him before?”“He is an old friend of mine, I called him this morning and I never expected that he would actually agree to the whole thing”I raised an eyebrow: “I don’t like this”She knotted her eyebrows in confusion: “What do y

Aria POVShe smiled, laughed and talked politely to me during breakfast. I just stared at her and didn’t know how to respond. I thought that she might actually be setting me up for something. Klaus was the only one happy with that. Did he know about what she said to me before and talked with her?Later on, Klaus took me out for a run around Black. We shifted and started the run from inside and then headed towards the borders. Every time we passed by a group of people, they would cheer loudly. Klaus was undoubtedly loved by his pack. They were happy to see us together. We were running when Klaus mindlinked: “I run around the borders on weekly basis”The Black pack was the biggest, the land was vast and stretched for as far as your eyes could see. By the time we finished I was completely exhausted and drained out of energy. I couldn’t walk any more, Klaus grabbed my hand and we both teleported back to the castle. Just when I thought I was done being dazzled with the castle, Klaus took

Klaus POVFire…There was a disastrous fire in Silver that destroyed a lot of houses, injured a lot and killed two people. Among the screams and the children’s cries, Aria and I tried as much as possible to help. But the flames were rising up, turning the night sky into daylight. Soon the fire trucks arrived and controlled everything. The injured were taken to the hospital and Aria decided to let the people stay in the alpha house. Even though it wasn’t furnished, it could still provide a roof over their heads. I looked at the faces around us and then mindlinked Aria: “Where is Marcus?”She knotted her brows and looked at me.“As your announced beta, he should be here. Summon him immediately”“I don’t want to mindlink him” she was reluctant to call him. “Why not?” “Because I don’t want to feel his presence inside my head”I stared at her for a few moments and realized that how come she would mindlink the man who killed her parents:“Send someone to fetch him and make sure that ever

Aria POVI couldn’t help the smug smile that appeared on my face when I saw Nick and Marie standing in front of me, waiting for my ceremony to start. I looked into Nick’s eyes and I could see pure hatred inside them while Marie couldn’t hide her jealousy. I couldn’t believe that I once loved that bastard. But here I was taking him down and leaving him with nothing like he once did to me. The sadness in Marcus’s eyes for losing was as clear as the night sky for this night. As usual Klaus pulled me closer to his body as we walked towards them and said: “Is everything ready?”Marcus smiled unwillingly: “Yes, Alpha”I mindlinked Elijah as we walked inside the house asking about his whereabouts and he said that he was inside with the rest of the pack waiting for us. Just before we stepped outside, I stopped, turned to Klaus, sank deep in his pool of his eyes and said: “Thank you”He smiled and was about to say something when I put my finger on his lips and continued: “None of this would ha

Instantly, I dropped to my knees struggling to breathe. While, Kaden stood next to me looking down at me with a disdainful smile on his face; “Forgot to tell you that my mother was a witch and she taught everything”He started circling around me one more time as I tried my best to calm down and limit the wolf’s bane effect on me to stay awake. I held my breath so as not to inhale more of the powder and paralyze my body.“You see, she taught me how poisonous the wolf’s bane is to your kind and how to use it to my benefit” he said and I tried to stand up, i needed to walk out of this spot to be able to breathe some fresh air. Before I could do it, he punched me hard in the face and I dropped back on the ground. Pain shot through my body, Then he started kicking me with his foot ferociously. He was angry, fru

Klaus POVAnother lost, forgotten and unwanted memory flooded inside my head. I wasn’t feeling good at all. I felt weak and vulnerable and those were new feelings to me. I have always buried my feelings deep inside and never looked back no matter what happened. I have always been strong and ruthless but ever since I got Aria in my life I have experienced all other types of emotions. Aria stared at me and I knew that she could feel everything that was going on inside me at this very second. For a moment, I didn’t want her to see me like this but there was nowhere to hide from her. She was my soul. Within a second, she numbed all my emotions, took all the depression and stress away. I didn't feel bad nor good. Just nothing at all. A weak smile found its way to me, she always does this when she tries to hide using her powers on me. She pressed her forehead against mine and said: “Let's go back to bed”Obedintly, I nodded my head and we both stood up and walked out of the bathroom. We cha

Klaus POVI had nothing to say to Aria. Not because I didn’t want to tell her, no, because I didn't know how to explain to her that I could feel my dead brother whom I killed years ago watching me. His scent, that I get every now and then, was driving me out of my mind. The first time I recognized it was back in Paris and it never left me afterwards. I asked Sam to make sure that he was really dead back then. Days later, Sam assured me that he was dead for sure and couldn’t find anything. It was like fire in my bones and I didn’t know how to deal with it but with what was going on with Aria and me I didn’t give much attention to the whole thing. Till now, I felt him staring at us inside my own bedroom and I just lost control. I jumped right off the balcony like a mad wolf. Even Though we searched the whole land and we didn’t find anything, I couldn’t feel peace. I looked at Aria who sat next to me completely drenched and she just looked back at me waiting for me to talk. She pulled he

Aria POVI opened my eyes gradually as I felt every bone in my body ache. The strength king Henry used was too much for me to tolerate. I wanted to raise my hand and touch my throbbing head but couldn’t. I turned my head to the side and saw Klaus sitting next to the bed, fast asleep while holding my hand tightly. “Klaus” I called out his name with a parched voice and tried to pull away my hand. His eyes snapped wide open and he stared at me. “Aria” he stood up and sat on the bed next to me. He caressed my cheek softly asking: “Are you okay?” he stared at me and I was immediately pulled into his soul. I could feel his worry rising like a Tsunami wave.I nodded my head and sat up: “I just have a headache”He sighed in relief and hugged me. I pressed my lips together in pain but quickly hid it from him. My whole body was in pain. “That’s fine. He didn’t hurt you, did he?” He let me go and stared at me. I didn’t want to answer this.“What did he want?” I asked curiously, changing the s

It was a little big but it’s better than nothing. My clothes were no longer usable. I stood in front of the bed and watched Klaus sleep peacefully. He looked like he didn’t sleep for weeks and I didn’t want to disturb him. The moment I felt his mind again and his soul poured inside mine, I was relieved. I didn’t hide my feelings from him, I let him feel how shattered I was and how messed up I had become. “Will I ever recover from this?” I thought to myself as I took a deep breath. I wanted to stop feeling bad about James but couldn’t because I didn’t feel bad about him, I felt bad for myself. I didn’t know I could be so uncontrollably powerful. Never thought that

Aria POV I poured it all into him. He felt every second of torture that he inflected on me and even more. I didn’t hold back or even feel pity for him. He deserved it. I was about to feel his heart stop from fear and pain when King Henry stopped me. He snapped his fingers and I lost total control over my power. “Aria” he roared my name and I turned my head towards him. He glared at me and I just looked down at James. He gasped loudly for air and laid down on the floor, his whole body shaking uncontrollably. He stared at nothing without saying a word. King Henry stepped down the stairs of his throne and stood right in front of me and I couldn’t hold back: “My King, you’ve heard everything. Everyone here heard it and it’s only fair that I kill him myself” I walked towards James, grabbed his hair and pulled it hard, showing his face to the King saying: “He has to feel everything I felt when he lashed me with his belt, 10 fucking lashes marked my body, and when he raped me, taking the l

The last day you had in your hands. The place you were at. Who did you meet. I need you to visualize the whole thing inside your head and focus on it and then I will do the rest” We all stood still and stared at them without blinking. No one dared to even breathe, waiting in anticipation. Klaus POV I was standing facing the door with an anxious heart and scared soul, when it opened and the guards stepped inside: “Your presence is needed alpha Klaus. Please follow us” They walked out and so did I. Finally, I was out of those four walls that drove me crazy in the past weeks. The guards took the stairs up from the palace underground prison and I followed to the great hall. The second I raised my head up I was startled. I saw Aria standing next to Sam, Elijah, Tory and others from Black who nodded their heads at me and there were new faces that I never saw before. Then I turned to the other side where James, and the whole of his pack stood. King Henry sat on his throne in the middle. I stood in front of him, surrounded by the guards. He nodded his head at them and they retreated to the side where alpha Franklin, Alec and Fay stood. I stared at them for a few good seconds. They were the packs that sided with James. But This time was different. He was different and I was different. The second he did. Zed knew what to do and he didn’t hesitate, just like we practiced countless times before. I was impressed by him, the 16 year old young boy that I found hiding in the woods. At first, he was scared and didn’t want to help or even talk to anyone but I just touched his emotions and assured him that no harm would come to him. His powers were truly magnificent and he was completely right to hide but not any more. It was time to show off what he could do and people should fear him and not the other way around. We all watched James fly up in the air and at the same time Zed came forward a few steps, k
