If Bryan had looked out of the window carefully, he would have seen Arcade, tearing deep into the woods as he rushed to take cover before Bryan would spot him running in the dark.

When Arcade was sure he was out of sight from the window, he stopped running and rested his back on the tree, breathing heavily and panting.

He dropped to the ground and spread his legs apart. Taking off his hoodie, he sighed and reflected on how he had been quick enough to use Bryan's room as an escape route.

After a few moments of rest, he stood up, knowing it was late and time was against him.

He is going to visit Nile in the cave. Tonight was the day he found the most difficult to leave the fortress. He concluded he had to be extra careful as the pack was not as loose as it was when the alpha was absent.
