Emilia’s POV

As I finish speaking, Alexander’s gaze lingers on me, his expression a mix of contemplation and resignation. “She’s not really in the power to do but yes, it is undeniable that she doesn’t show much concern for them.”

“And there’s something else,” Alexander adds, his tone shifting slightly. “Did you not notice that she doesn’t have a werewolf scent?”

His words catch me off guard, and I find myself trailing back to my encounter with Sophia. A sudden realization dawns upon me, and my eyes widen with astonishment. It all makes sense now. Sophia, the woman I had met, couldn’t have been a werewolf because she lacked the distinct scent that accompanies our kind.

A mixture of shock and understanding settles within me, and I turn to face Alexander, my voice trembling with realization. “She... she’s not like us, is she? She’s human.”

The weight of the revelation hangs heavy in the air, leaving us both grappling with its implications. The truth hits me with a surge of emotions

Sophia’s POV The cab I'm in comes to a halt, and I gracefully emerge, my hands laden with a few shopping bags. Stepping out onto the sidewalk, I cast an appreciative glance at the bustling city around me. The cacophony of honking horns and the aroma of street food fills the air, reminding me that I've finally arrived at my new apartment. With a sense of anticipation, I make my way towards the entrance of the building. Pushing open the heavy glass door, a wave of excitement washes over me. The foyer is immaculate, with sleek marble floors and a modern reception desk. As I step into the building, I notice Linda, the receptionist, emerging from inside and taking a seat at the desk. She's a young woman, currently checking her makeup in a compact mirror. With a warm smile, I approach her and retrieve a small makeup bag from my belongings. "Hey, Linda! It's so good to see you," I greet her, extending the makeup bag towards her. Linda looks pleasantly surprised as she accepts the bag. "

Sophia’s POV I turn to look at who is calling me and see two kids, a boy and a girl, standing at the opposite apartment. At first, I don’t recognize them, but when the young girl suddenly rushes towards me, I realize it’s Daisy and Daniel. Daisy pushes Jake aside in her excitement to reach me, and I eagerly open my arms, ready to embrace my niece and nephew. “Sophia!” Daisy exclaims, wrapping her small arms tightly around my waist. I return the hug, feeling a rush of warmth and affection. “Hey, Daisy! It’s so good to see you,” I say, my voice filled with genuine joy. I then shift my attention to Daniel, who is standing a few steps away, observing us silently. “And hello, Daniel.” Daniel nods in acknowledgment but doesn’t say anything. I understand his reserved nature and appreciate his presence nonetheless. I extend my arms towards him, offering a hug. Daniel hesitates for a moment, but then steps forward, allowing me to embrace him briefly. Although he doesn’t show much familiari

Alexander’s POVI lead the children through the front door, and as we step inside, a strange silence fills the air. Even Daisy, usually bursting with enthusiasm, is unusually quiet. I can sense that whatever happened outside has affected her. But now is not the time to unravel the reasons behind their somber demeanor. I guide them into the living room, a space that has already been meticulously arranged and made ready for our arrival. The mansion's deep cleaning maids and servants had worked diligently to ensure everything was in order. I can vividly recall Emilia's initial reaction when I shared my plan to buy a new apartment and move our family there. Her face had contorted with disbelief and frustration, accusing me of trying to escape from her by leaving our luxurious mansion behind. However, I patiently explained that my intention was to bring our children closer to their mother and to court Sophia.Surprisingly, Emilia eventually relented, even giving me a reassuring pat on th

Alexander’s POVMy gaze shifts between my children, overwhelmed with love and gratitude. "Absolutely, Daisy. We'll make sure she knows just how much she means to us, but you also have to help Daddy win mommy's heart, OK?"Daisy looks surprised and clueless as she asks her brother, "Win mommy's heart. What does that mean?"She seems genuinely curious, making me laugh and I notice her brother laughing too. He knicks her on the head and clicks his tongue, "To make her like Daddy, of course. You're a baby so you wouldn't know all that. Dummy!""You... Daddy, Daniel called me dummy!" Daisy scowled and retaliated by knocking him on the head too. He however doesn't stop laughing at her and stuck his tongue at her as he chanted, "Dummy... dummy... you're a dummy..."His words only infuriates the girl as she continues to insist. "Take that back, I'm not a dummy!" She seems really offended. They launched into a playful banter, chasing each other around the room. I don't stop them knowing they

But her clothes are all dirty now."Without hesitation, I rise from my chair, the urgency in my movements clear as I inquire further, "Take me to her. Let's go to the kitchen."Daniel nods, and we make our way swiftly through the office corridors toward the kitchen, where chaos awaits. As we arrive, my eyes meet a distressing scene. Sophia’s POVAfter the tense negotiations and the binding blood covenant, we finally returned to the safety and comfort of our mansion. The weight of the day's events still hung heavily in the air, but there was also a sense of relief and accomplishment that filled our hearts. Peace between humans and werewolves was no longer just a distant dream; it was becoming a reality. As we stepped through the door, Alexander pulled me into a warm embrace. His worry for me was evident in his eyes, but he couldn't hide the joy and pride that also shone there. I felt his strong arms wrap around me, and I buried my face in his chest, finding solace in his presence."I was so worried about you, Sophia," he whispered into my hair, his voice tinged with emotion. "You're the bravest person I know."I looked up at him, touched by his words, and managed a weak smile. "It was a necessary sacrifice, Alexander. I believe in what we're doing, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes for peace."His lips met m

Sophia’s POVThe authoritative Wolf Hunters exchanged uncertain glances, clearly taken aback by my proposal. They had never encountered such a gesture of commitment before. One of them, a stern-looking man, finally spoke. "This is a bold offer, Luna, but how can we be sure that this covenant will hold? A hundred years ago, a human girl made a similar covenant, and peace was shattered. Her soul was offered to the Moon Goddess, and yet, it didn't prevent the war."I took a deep breath, understanding the weight of history behind his words. "I believe that this time is different. Alexander, Tyler, Jake, and I, we all trust each other completely. We are willing to do everything in our power to prevent the Moon Goddess from consuming my soul. I am confident that we can make this covenant hold."Alexander's expression was conflicted as he looked at me, "Sophia, I can't bear the thought of you making such a sacrifice. There must be another way."Tyler and Jake, who had been silent until now,

Sophia’s POVThe three days of waiting had been torturous. Each passing hour had only deepened my worry and anxiety. I had called secretary Candace, repeatedly, hoping for any news about Alexander, but the repeated responses of "no news yet" had done little to ease my concern.Daniel and Daisy had sensed the heaviness in the air and had been keeping me company in the living room. Daisy, with her innocent eyes and heart full of love for her father, was the first to voice her concern. "Mom, where's Daddy? Why hasn't he come back yet?"I tried to put on a brave face, forcing a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, sweetie," I said, my voice soft and comforting. "Daddy will be back soon. Maybe he's just been delayed by something. He'll be home before you know it."Daniel, ever the protector and the older sibling, chimed in with his own attempt at reassurance.
