(Theia’s POV)

I stared at the doctor in disbelief. Here I was thinking that this type of thing didn’t happen, but the doctor was saying that I was some super rare supernatural type. I shook my head and closed my eyes.

“No,” I said, “You must be mistaken. I’m human, I’m not supernatural.”

“Yes, Miss Adams, you’re correct when you say that you are human,” the doctor said, and I looked back at her.

“How can I be human and an oracle?” I asked, “I thought you said they were supernaturals.”

“Well, that’s the thing about the oracles. They can be of any species,” she answered, “human or supernatural. Although

(Theia’s POV) I was about to ask what he meant when the door opened and Leah walked in, followed by Liam and Jake. Leah smiled brightly at me and ran over to hug me. Dominic growled and his hand tightened on mine, but Leah rolled her eyes and hugged me anyway. “I’m so glad you are awake,” she said. “You gave us quite the scare.” She turned to Dominic, and the smile dropped from her face. “It’s confirmed,” she said and then glared at Liam, “I honestly don’t know how he missed this, but Jake got word a few minutes ago about the awareness of a rare and powerful asset, and the order to obtain it by any means necessary.” I gasped and Leah looked at me and grimaced. “Shit sorry Theia,” she said. "It’ll be okay, we will protect you, I promise.”

(Dominic’s POV)“Dammit, Dominic!” Theia exclaimed, as she banged her knife and fork down on the table. “Give it rest. I am sick of hearing it.”“Theia, please I just-” I started, but she held her hand out and stood up from the dining table,“No!” she said sternly. “Just stop.” She turned to my parents at the head of the table,“I am sorry for the interruption,” she said and then turned and left the room. I dropped my head into my hands, fully aware that everyone’s eyes were on me.We had travelled back home the day after Doctor Greta’s revelation about what Theia was and the impact on her health. We had been home for four days and all Theia and I had done was fight. After I had heard that her life was in danger, I had instructed the warrior guard to be on full alert and made sure that Theia

(Theia’s POV)I watched the flames as they burned. They didn’t move from the spot they were in. Just burned there, in that one place. Slowly I saw as the flames began to take the shape of a person. Finally, I could not only tell that it was a woman but a woman that I had met before. I smiled as the beautiful redheaded woman that I had met in Dominic’s apartment appeared.“Hello Theia,” she said with a smile that I couldn’t help but to return. “I have been trying to get through for some time, but it appears that I was blocked.” I nodded my head in response.“Isabella, right?” I asked, and she smiled with a nod. “Yes, I think the medicine they gave me at the Conclave was pretty strong. But I could feel you trying to get through, so I didn’t take it anymore.”“You visited the conclave?” she asked with raised eyebrows.“Yeah, and it wasn’t a nice visit either,” I said with a scowl.

(Theia’s POV)“What!” Dominic exclaimed. “I’m not going anywhere, not now.”“You have to,” I said. “I saw you there, and it’s really important.” Dominic eyed me suspiciously.“You saw me there?” he asked, and I shrugged.“Well, not exactly, but I heard some of the warrior guys mention Sunset Rose pack.”“That doesn’t prove that I was there,“ Dominic frowned. “Maybe I send warriors up.”“That’s not the type of Alpha you are, and you know it.” We both looked over to the door where Leah was standing. “There is no way you would send men into a battle that you wouldn’t be willing to fight in yourself,” she said and I smiled at her.Dominic huffed and narrowed his eyes at me.“This isn’t your way of trying to get rid of me, so I don’t keep going on about the illness, is it?” he asked and I shook my head. The thought hadn’t even occur

(Theia’s POV)I stood at the head of the steps, not sure what to do. The last thing I wanted to do was sit down and talk with Jonas Bowers. Despite being Dominic’s father, he had made it painfully clear exactly how much he didn’t like me. I knew it had to do with me being human, but I didn’t know what exactly he had against humans.“Now would be a good time,” he said with an almost mocking tone in his voice. He could probably tell that I was scared of him. He wasn’t a small man by any means, but like Dominic, he wasn’t overly large either. Still, his presence was very much making up for it. An air of authority followed him around, which wasn’t surprising for a man who had been Alpha of a pack for over thirty years. I sighed and forced a smile on my face before turning and taking the seat next to him.He didn’t even look at me at first. Just c

(Dominic’s POV)I sat in the passenger seat of the SUV as we headed back to Sunset Rose. The battle had been brutal, and we had lost some men. I knew I would need to visit their families in this coming week and we would have ceremonies for each one. But each warrior and their families knew that each time we went into battle, we might not return. Still, it hurt nonetheless, and as their Alpha, I felt every single one of their deaths as their connection broke like a sharp pain in my chest. But what I felt would be nothing compared to what those with mates would have felt.We had won in the end, and seeing our beautiful Queen in action was an amazing sight. And seeing my own cousin as the King was such an amazing feeling. Part of me wondered if Theia had seen this before and if she already knew the outcome. Just thinking of my sweet Theia

(Dominic’s POV)I looked down at the letter in my hand and shook my head.“No,” I said, “No, she hasn’t left me. Why would she leave me?” I crumpled the piece of paper up and threw it to the floor. I watched as it slowly uncrumpled, unlike the feeling in my heart that felt like my whole world was falling apart.“No,” I said again. I looked at Liam, who was watching me carefully. “What happened the last time you saw her?” I asked, and he shrugged.“I dunno, man,” he said. “She seemed fine. A little distracted, maybe, but otherwise fine.”“But you said that you went for a walk, right?” I asked again. I needed to make sense of why she would just leave like this, knowing her life was in danger. Liam nodded in response.“Yeah, I saw her on the porch and she said she had just had a conversation wit

(Dominic’s POV)I stormed in through the doors of the building where my apartment used to be. The one owned by Mark Illington. I sold my apartment after I killed Mark for daring to hurt my mate. I wanted nothing to do with him and his family. But now I needed answers.I didn’t care that it was now three in the morning. I had to have those answers. I had to know if what my sister was telling me was true. Part of me couldn’t believe that Liam would betray me like this. That he had been betraying me for so long. But the other part of me saw all the dots connecting. Not just between Theia and Liam, but also between Leah and Liam. I was horrified to find out that my own little sister had suffered at the hands of my own best friend. That he would have caused her the pain of rejection, and that she suffered in silence through it. But if what Leah had told me about Theia had told her was true, then I was going to rip that bastard apart limb from limb.I felt the familiar pop of the building’s

  • The Alpha's Human Seer   Chapter 61

(Theia’s POV)After Dominic and I finally completed the mate bond, I felt like something important was slotting into place. Maybe this puzzle piece wasn’t so bad. Dominic had arranged the whole evening. He was just waiting for me to suggest going for a run, and then had Leah and other pack members set up the clearing for us. It was absolutely perfect. Which I found worrying that Dominic knew me so well that he knew what I thought perfect was. I guess in part; I wasn’t used to being part of something like this, to actually being wanted, or being part of a family. It would take some getting used to, for sure.We didn’t want to wait too long for the Luna ceremony. We hoped that having something to celebrate would help the pack recover from the attack. Although Logan had already started talking with Alex about some ideas he had for the warriors. Apparently, he was a natural and even suggested that warrior training started younger, for those who wanted it. It was amazing to see the change

  • The Alpha's Human Seer   Chapter 60

(Theia’s POV)*** One Week Later ***Eventually, we made our way back home to the pack house. It was full morning by the time we got there, and Leah was looping the territory in wolf form. She shifted back to human form as soon as she saw us and spent a good five minutes shouting at Dominic about disappearing on them before she realised that he had something in his arms. “Oh my goddess,” she cried, with tears streaming down her face as Dominic hovered over her protectively as she held Aurora. Jonas and Lila soon joined us and I smiled as my family took turns to show love to the newest member before Doctor Greta finally said that mum and baby needed to be checked over. It was only then that Jonas noticed Logan, who was still in wolf form and had begun to follow us to the hospital. “Stand down, warrior,” Jonas called and Logan huffed at him. It was then that Jonas realised who this protective wolf was. His eyes widened, and he rushed to Logan and began to prod at him. I leaned into L

  • The Alpha's Human Seer   Chapter 59

(Theia’s POV)I stopped in the middle of the woods and screamed all my pain and fear. I screamed and screamed until I had no more left in me. No more fear and no more pain. All that was left was the violent need to find my daughter. “Sky?” I called, and she stood to attention.“It’s time,” she said, and I set off running. I had no idea where I was running. Everything was on instinct. It was like the woods moved out of my way and everything seemed brighter all of a sudden. Then there was a singular flash of pain, but I didn’t stop. The only change that happened was that in that instant, I shed my human form and I was now on four paws running through the forest. I sniffed the air and immediately caught the scent that I hadn’t even realised that I had registered, but now I knew was the scent of my baby girl. I shifted my direction towards the scent and increased my speed. I didn’t even need to see to know where we were going. I just knew. An image of the beach flashed up in my mind and

  • The Alpha's Human Seer   Chapter 58

(Theia’s POV)I paled at the voice and looked down at Logan in fear. He growled slightly at the voice, but then turned and pushed me gently towards the tunnel. I headed into the tunnels and was immediately blanketed in darkness. But I tried my best to feel along the walls and shuffle my feet along the floor. I could feel Logan right behind me, and part of me was glad that he could fit inside the tunnel in his new wolf form. I made my way through the tunnel too slow for my liking and was starting to panic, worried that there wasn’t another end. What if it had been closed up at the other end, like a cave in or something? What if I was going to get trapped in her forever? I knew that my thoughts were irrational, but that didn’t stop them plaguing me and heightening my fear. When another contraction came, I tried to muffle my screams but they still rang out through the tunnel and echoed over and over, mocking me in my fear. Just as I was starting to get really worried, I noticed a small

(Theia’s POV)I shrunk back from the door, and Liam just laughed at my response. He turned his attention towards Logan, and I could see Logan tense up from behind him. I couldn’t see his face, but I knew that he was holding a brave face. I hated that I was so useless and that he was now in danger because of me. “Hey squirt,” Liam said. “What do you plan on doing with that?” “Get the fuck out of here,” Logan snarled at him and held the knife out further. I saw him adjust his feet into what I assumed was a fight stance. Liam saw it too and raised an eyebrow. “Alex been training you, has he?” he said, “Yeah, I never got on with that chap. He was always sniffing around my girl.” My eyes widened a little and I couldn’t help but scoff.“Your girl?” I asked, “I think you lost the right to say that a long time ago.” “Ah sweetheart, just because I didn’t want her, didn’t mean I was going to let anyone else have her,” he said, “If I could I would have ripped Jake Blackthorn’s head off for d

(Theia’s POV)The room became a hub of activity as Dominic, Alex and a few of the high-ranking warriors began pouring over maps of the territory and mind linking with warriors on the ground. “Alpha,” one of the warriors called, and Dominic looked up, “They are swarming the south-west woods. We can’t get numbers. There seem to be over a hundred at least.” “That’s the residential area,” Leah said and Dominic growled.“I know where it is,” he snapped, his Alpha tone leaking out. Leah looked like she had been slapped.“Hey,” I said as I waddled up to Dominic, he looked at me like I was the last person he expected to see. “You gotta calm down. Then you can think straight.” I took hold of his hand and tried to mimic when I saw Lila calm Jonas down from a rant. Dominic closed his eyes and took a deep breath. I guess whatever I did was working. He opened his eyes again. The worry was still there, but he looked more in control of himself. He kissed my forehead and then looked over at Leah.“

  • The Alpha's Human Seer   Chapter 55

(Theia’s POV)*** Four Months Later ***I laid in my bed, half dozing and half listening to Dominic, Leah and Alex talking. Being seven months pregnant was really taking its toll on my energy. Well, that and all the various different herbs and whatnots that I was on to help Sky suppress the urge to complete the transition. Doctor Greta, who had now become a permanent guest at the Sunset Rose pack, said that she was very impressed with my wolf being able to hold off for such a long time. Isabella hadn’t been able to visit, due to some issues going on for her, but she had a video conference with Greta about what she had given me and with more ideas for helping us. She did promise to visit soon, but cryptically said that it wasn’t time yet. Greta still hadn’t managed to get a hold of my old doctor. I even tried, and he seemed to have disappeared. Greta decided that she didn’t like the effects the medication could have on the baby, so we decided to work on more natural and magical routes

(Theia’s POV)I looked up at Doctor Greta, who was grinning.“It is, right?” I asked, and she nodded.“Why are you asking her,” my wolf scoffed, “I’m right here” I could almost feel her rolling her eyes. Could wolves roll their eyes? Well, I guess they couldn’t speak normally, so anything was possible.“Yes, I can definitely see the spikes on the charts,” the doctor said, and she showed me the screen, which showed where the line showing my brain activity shot up and back down again. “Say something,” I said.“I’m not a performing monkey, you know,” my wolf responded and the line on the screen shot up. I couldn’t help but laugh. “Oh my god, this is so strange,” I said.“Erm,” Dominic’s dad, Jonas, drew my attention to him, “What’s going on?” He and his wife were looking at me with weird looks on their faces. Leah, on the other hand, was grinning. “It appears that Theia’s wolf has made an appearance,” the doctor said, and I grinned. “No, it’s not possible,” Jonas said, “She is only a
