I didn’t even realize that humans could go into heat! I didn’t care what her parents would think, and as I walked into the hospital waiting area, I realized how incredibly stupid I had been! I arranged for guards all throughout the hospital to protect my mate from any unwanted attention, and in the process drew attention from the humans.

“How is she doing?” I forced myself to focus on her parents, who were looking too distraught to worry about how I heard about it and what I was doing there. Her mother explained that the doctors were still trying to figure out what was wrong with her. I nodded and called our doctor through the pack link.
