ALEXIA Raven was the first person I started looking for when I arrived at school the following morning, not that I have any other friend to look for anyone. After the way I spoke to her yesterday when all she was trying to do was help me, I could have handled the situation better than that. I stopped by my locker, a small part of me hoping whoever took my project put it back after experiencing some miraculous change of heart. ALEXIA His statement hung between us in silence for a couple of seconds before I opened the door and exited the room without giving him a reply or even looking back at him. I made my way back to class, relieved that the mystery behind my project had been resolved. No sooner than I sat down, Izzie approached my desk making me think she had been lying about where she kept the egg. She handed it to me, her lips pressed into a thin line as if trying to suppress the need to say something rude. Keeping my eyes on her, I examined the egg, making sure there wasn’t any crack on it. “Thank you.” I muttered, glancing up at her when she still lingered. “Is there anything else I can help you with?” I passively asked her. “I can’t leave…unless you accept my apology.” She answered, pulling at her fingers while directly avoiding my gaze. “But you didn’t apologize.” “I’m sorry.” She replied, making a face that implied her apology wasn’t sincere and honestly, that part wasn’t so shocking to me.

ALEXIA I hurried out of the classroom after school dismissal, an incoming text message from my phone made me stop abruptly in my tracks. ALEXIA I looked up from my phone as I felt the car slowing down in front of a shiny black iron gate. A few seconds later, the double gate started to slide open causing me to stare wordlessly at the mansion it revealed. I have never been to the pack house before or even imagined what it would look like but it doesn’t matter because my imagination wouldn’t have prepared me for the magnificent view in front of me.
