(Nikita's P.O.V.)

I instinctively stood up from my seat to block Manuel. I thought that it was the smartest thing to do if I don't want to cause a scene here at the diner.

"A—Alpha?" I quietly muttered, just enough for him to hear. He stared at me using his emotionless eyes. We're near the border, but we're still at the Ambersley territory. Alpha Leon will not like it once he finds out that he crossed the line.

Ruby, who was silently finishing her food in ther corner, stood up to join us, too. She slightly bowed her head at Trojan who was still focused on staring at me. "Alpha..." she expressed respect. Trojan ignored her.
