Gabriella

It took some time to get all the innocent people released from prison, but Gabriella knew that she had to do what she had to do if she was going to win the hearts and minds of the people from the homelands. In the end, she would need all their help to win this battle against the Wolf King. The goddess only knew what he was up to and where else he could be hiding more armies and, worst of all, how long he had been planning his takeover.

So, she made sure that the people she could take care of were cared for while Lucienne and the gang tracked the Wolf King. She was healed and that was great, but she wasn’t entirely at her full strength yet, so she spent her days going through the court papers and arrest files of the people who were in prison. It was an amazing feeling when she could tell someone they were being released and then saw the look of gratitude on their family’s faces as they walked out. She was doing something to make things better.

MelodySince Melody had fairly recently arranged a wedding, she didn’t want to go through the entire process of all the fuss again. She wanted to make it special for Matthew, but she really didn’t want a carbon copy of what she planned with Eli. They also didn’t have a lot of time to plan something incredible because she really just wanted to marry Matthew and be happy. At least, for a little while before they went to war.The girls all jumped in and helped with the arrangements, but silence fell every so often when they thought of Zion. She was still missing and there was still no news. Gabriella had sent out scouts to try and find her, but the men had come up with no trace. After the Wolf King was basically run out of town, they went back to his pack house and found some of Zion’s hair in one of the rooms. It was almost as if she was trying to give them a message that she had been there, but there was nothing else. They only knew that she was there, but they found nothing else to te

GabriellaGabriella was concerned that they might be attacked, but it soon became clear that they might just have a good day. What was the most surprising thing of all was to see Eli and his family in one of the front rows of the chamber. When the councillor came to the part where he asked if anybody present had any objections to the union, Gabriella’s attention turned to Eli, but he remained in his seat.Gabriella fought the urge to laugh as the ceremony continued and Melody and Matthew promised to love and honour each other for the rest of their lives. Gabriella had to admit that it really was a beautiful ceremony, and she stepped forward so she could officially make them part of the pack. Cutting her palm, she held it out to Melody, who did the same and as soon as their palms touched, Gabriella could feel Melody’s power flow through her.Since she had already made Matthew a pack member, that part wasn’t necessary. The time had come for the two of them to be linked and Gabriella han

GabriellaGabriella wouldn’t take the chance of telling anyone that she was going after the Wolf King. She didn’t even leave a note for fear that Lucienne would come after her. She was going to kill the Wolf King on her own without anyone else having to sacrifice their lives. She ran through the forest to the point where every muscle in her body ached right through to the bone. She had used the spell she got from one of the witches in the city just a couple of days ago to hide her scent and she was making her way closer to the human settlement. Meeting up with her two scouts that were keeping an eye on the situation, she gasped as soon as she saw Zion’s wolf in the cage. That bastard had given her friend away as if she was just some kind of animal! The humans had patrols and guns and they sounded pretty trigger-happy from what Gabriella’s scouts told her. It was a more dangerous situation than she had ever anticipated! What was worse, was the fact that the bastard had already left the

GabriellaSaving Zion was exactly what Gabriella needed. It was the good news everyone needed. She knew the Wolf King would come for them now, but she had her friend back! Jake met them just as they reached the border of the homelands. He didn’t even greet anyone as he rushed to Zion and held onto her. They couldn’t stay there all day, and Gabriella was thankful when Lucienne reminded them where they were. They shifted back into their wolf forms, but Zion was too tired to shift and Jake bent down so she could ride on his back. Making their way through the border, they didn’t take long to reach the house and everyone rushed over to greet them. Melody had a lot to say to Gabriella, but Gabriella could see that she was biting her tongue. She knew she should have at least told her friends and Lucienne where she was going, but she didn’t want anybody else getting hurt. After Zion was taken care of, they all gathered around the kitchen table and Gabriella told them exactly what she saw. GabriellaGabriella’s eyes searched the charging wolves for one wolf in particular and as soon as she found him, she charged. There was a loud clash as wolves attacked wolves and all around them, magic flew through the air. In the distance, Gabriella could see a couple of people trying to fire their guns, but they weren’t working on this side of the border and she smiled as she zoned in on the king.He had forgotten that no matter how strong he thought he was, even he couldn’t change the fact that modern-day things didn’t work on this side of the border. The magic interfered with the technology and his weapons weren’t going to help him.Gabriella came to a halt just a couple of feet away from him and her jaw snapped as she snarled. He actually stank so badly of sulfur that it burned her eyes a little. As she shook her head to try and get rid of the stench, she realized that it wasn’t just him! MelodyMelody had this incredible urge to see the dead people and she couldn’t explain it to anybody. As soon as Matthew left to speak to Gabriella, she ported to the enormous hall where everyone was being kept until the funeral. It was an incredibly sad sight. So many people had been lost and as she walked through the rows her hands drifted above the bodies.Suddenly, she felt a spark in her left palm and she stopped to look. The person under the sheet wasn’t moving at all, but … She closed her eyes for a moment to focus on just that one body. It took a moment, but then she felt the spark again! Ripping the sheet away, she listened and she could hear a very faint heartbeat! Whoever this was, they weren’t dead yet!Melody called out for help and three guards rushed over. She told them that the wolf wasn’t dead and to call for one of the angels. Her eyes scanned all the other bodies while the angels took away the one that was still alive and Melody wondered how many more could still be

Gabriella“Well, it wouldn’t have been a group holiday if someone didn’t get hurt.” Gabriella laughed as they all piled out of the boat upon their return to the island. Jake was all fixed up thanks to some angel magic which nobody, not even Melody, completely understood. The fairy queen kept to her word and as soon as they arrived at the fairy docks, Jake was whisked off to a tent that was already set up.One of the other angels that were there treated Zion and Lucienne was supplied with some extra tea that Zion had to drink every night before bed. And just like that, a huge crisis was averted. If they were on the pack grounds when it happened, it might not have worked out as well, and all of them agreed. The angels really knew what they were doing, which made Gabriella wonder if she should find out if they could get one to move to the pack house. Her train of thought was quickly halted when Lucienne reminded her that they were meant to be on holiday and not planning more work. This was actually the perfect time to let Venus learn that Hunter was there for her just as much as her friends were, if not more. There was, however, something Melody had to tell all of her friends. She told Matthew the night before and he was simply ecstatic. Melody patient waited until everyone was seated at the breakfast table. Gabriella was the first to notice that their normally chatty friend had been awfully quiet all morning. Thankfully, the sudden budding romance going on between Venus and Hunter drew her attention and Melody almost breathed a sigh of relief! She wanted all of them to be comfortable and relaxed when she gave them the news because she had absolutely no idea how they were going to react to it. She waited until everyone had finished breakfast after deciding that she didn’t want to tell them before. They would probably get so excited that the

Venus“You haven’t done anything wrong.” Venus wiped the tears from her eyes. She wasn’t ready to say the words out loud yet, since it was still really early in their relationship, but she knew that she had to give Hunter a chance. Their friends were standing on the porch looking on as Hunter helped her out of the boat and when they joined everybody else Venus joked that the idea of not being able to work freaked her out and she had to make a run for it.She hoped the joke would distract them, but she knew better. It wouldn’t be long before the girls asked her what was going on. Since she didn’t have a mother to talk to, she had always confided in her friends. Maybe it was time she trusted them with her feelings now. She needed to figure out how she felt about Hunter. They were all used to meeting their man and falling instantly madly in love.Venus, on the other hand, had a completely different experience. The girls were still very confused when the three guys appeared with suitcases.“What’s all this?” Gabriella laughed and Lucienne promptly explained. The guys had planned a holiday for all of them in the fairy kingdom and Melody and Matthew would be joining them near the border to the homelands. To say that the girls were surprised was an understatement! Venus tried to make excuses that she just had too much work to take care of, but Hunter wouldn’t hear of it.The girls were all bundled into a van with the guys and off they went. The guys had been prepared for everything and answered each question the girls had about what was going to happen to the work

GabriellaIt had been an incredibly long day and Gabriella was hiding from Venus on the terrace overlooking the training grounds. Lucienne and the warriors were training and she almost wished she could join them, but she was just too damn tired. Being queen was not what she thought it was going to be. Not that she thought anything really. It wasn’t something she had planned for her future and she wondered if she would ever be able to get her book done.“Spying on your man, I see.” Zion’s voice interrupted Gabriella’s thoughts and she blushed bright red.“You caught me red-handed!” She laughed as she turned her attention to her friend. “I never imagined I could love him this much. If I think back to when I found out we were mates,” She turned her attention back to the training grounds as Zion stood beside her.“Yeah, it hits you like a train, doesn’t it?” Zion pulled a face and they both laughed.“Don’t you girls want some dinner?” Melody appeared and they laughed as Zion commented tha

GabriellaNow that Gabriella had been crowned queen, it meant she was traveling a lot more than she originally thought she would. It felt strange walking into the council chambers this time and she instantly felt it. The weight of presenting her kind in the council was resting heavily on her shoulders. It didn’t feel like this before. Before, she was just there to fight for survival. Now she was going to be part of the group of people who made the decisions that guided their entire region of supernatural creatures.“Well, I would like to start by congratulating Queen Gabriella on her coronation.” The queen of the fairies was the first to speak. The appearance of the entire council had changed since they last met. The mistress of the forest had been replaced by a new representative as well since she had been imprisoned, but the king of the vampires still kept his seat. For some reason, they couldn’t find any proof that the man was involved in the Wolf King’s plans even if he fought sid
