Gabriella

Lucienne and Gabriella disappeared as soon as they got the chance. They had two days before the trial and their time was very limited. Lucienne still had to take care of the arrangements for the trial, and Gabriella had responsibilities toward the pack. Their time together flew by and as Gabriella took her seat in the hall, she sighed. It almost felt as if her relationship with Lucienne was just a dream. Zion was seated to her right and Lucienne to her left. In front of her there was a long table where the elder council took their seats, and in front of them, facing them were two more desks. To the right, her uncle and aunt sat with their legal representative, and to the left was the elder, who volunteered to present the case with his apprentice. Nothing like this had happened in their pack in a long time, which meant that the chairs that were packed out behind the desks were filled with interested pack members.

Outside in the hallway, witnesses were seated far enough away f

GabriellaShe thought about it and thought about it, and no matter which way she went, it was clear that there was only one punishment that would suffice. Her uncle had to pay for his sins with his life. Gabriella didn’t know what she would do about her aunt since her wolf was going to be in incredible pain when her uncle was executed. Her aunt might just die of a broken heart for all she knew, and Gabriella didn’t want to admit it at first, but it quickly became clear that her only way out was to sentence both of them to death. Lucienne agreed that no amount of time and thinking was ever going to change the outcome and the sooner they got it over and done with, the better.Gabriella reconvened the trial and when she informed everyone of her decision, a loud roar of applause erupted. Her uncle was shouting profanities in a way that she had never seen before and her aunt had stopped crying. She just sat in her chair glaring at Gabriella. GabriellaGabriella was surprised to find out that there had been no sign of the rogues for a couple of weeks. She couldn’t imagine that Magnus was the kind of person who would just give up, but when Lucienne told her they went out into the unclaimed territory and found the camp but no sign of the rogues, she had no other choice but to believe it. Magnus and his pack clearly moved on. That didn’t mean they were rid of the rogues completely, but at least he wasn’t there anymore. There was one less thing to worry about. With her uncle and aunt gone and Magnus now out of the way, they could live their lives in peace.Lucienne noticed that Gabriella couldn’t seem to find inner peace and he decided that she needed a distraction from what had been happening lately. Her first couple of weeks as the official alpha of the pack had been pretty tough and he promised to support her in any way he could. He decided that they needed a date night and he quickly got her friends together to help him pl

GabriellaZion had been praying day and night for her mate to come. She knew he wasn’t in their pack since she never found any signs of him, but while she was standing in Gabriella’s office, she caught his scent. She followed it right to him. He was one of the warriors she knew well. Nobody could really explain why you could walk right past your mate the first time and miss their scent and then only realize who they were later on, but Zion didn’t care. She found him! From the look on his face, he was happy that he had found her and he didn’t wait to be given permission as he pulled her into his arms and kissed her.The moon goddess decides when you meet your mate. It could be right after you turned for the first time between the ages of fourteen and sixteen or it could be later on in life like it happened to Gabriella and Lucienne. Nobody knew until that very moment when you caught their scent for the first time or your eyes locked and you just knew. Zion trusted in the moon goddess a

ZionJake was more than Zion could ever hope for. He was sweet, and kind, and a real southern gentleman. He treated her with such respect that she felt as if she was his most prized possession, yet he never once made her feel as if she was a possession. Some wolves could get very protective over their mates to the point where they were unreasonable, but Jake was not like that. He accepted the fact that she was the pack beta and she had responsibilities to take care of. During their first days, they spent every waking moment together and made love for hours. They agreed that they wanted to start their family as soon as possible and Zion couldn’t wait to be a mother. She finally had her fairy tale, and when Gabriella announced that she was pregnant it was as if it was a sign. When Zion and Gabriella were at school together when they were still young and naïve, they wanted to find their mates at the same time, and have their children at the same time. They believed that if they did it th

GabriellaThe packs were gathered in Gabriella’s territory for over a month and there had been no sign of an attack from the king. The information from the magical homelands was that all was quiet and that information had come from various different places, which could only mean that it had to be good. On the other hand, there were the refugees who had clearly been through a lot. Gabriella couldn’t bring herself to believe that they were just making it all up.The only explanation everyone could think about was that someone was probably trying to make the king look bad. It was such a traumatic event for the refugees that it was possible that they could have been mistaken and that someone pretending to be the king could have faked this so-called war. The three alphas got together and agreed that it was probably safe enough for them to go home. Gabriella would let the refugees stay with her pack since they were the only ones who really had a place to house them. She also wanted to spend

MelodyAfter trying to find information for almost a month without success, the four friends were sitting around the table looking at each other. They all knew what had to be done, but nobody could bring themselves to actually say it. Melody had to go back home. Thankfully, she was the first one to speak up and her friends breathed audible sighs of relief after she said it that all the girls burst out laughing. The tension in the room had become almost unbearable! To try and make things a little easier for their friend, Gabriella even joked that Melody might just meet her mate in the homelands. Melody had been in the human world for far too long and it was very possible that her mate could be waiting for her in the homelands.Zion joked around saying that it was probably the reason why Melody didn’t want to go back home, and although Melody laughed about the joke, it was closer to home than Zion realized. When Melody was still a young witch in training, one of the boys four years her

MelodyIt felt really strange to be back here. Nothing much had changed really. She had been gone for goodness knew how long and everything seemed to be the same. The only difference she could feel was in the air. People seemed more nervous than when she was here before. She could feel it in the tension in the air. Then, when she spoke to people, it was as if they were hesitant to say something … Anything! She asked her parents in the car on the way home and they looked at each other for a moment before her mother came out with the entire story. It seemed as though the council had completely lost their freaking minds. People were being arrested for what seemed like no reason! Her mother explained that you could just look at something the wrong way and soldiers would appear out of nowhere and arrest you. No trials were being held that they could see, and her mother commented that she could only imagine how full the prison must be at the moment. Melody’s father made a comment that he he

GabriellaWhat Melody was telling them was the complete opposite of what everyone was hoping to hear. None of us had ever dealt much with the magical homelands but all of us thought of it as a place of peace, and from what Melody was saying, it used to be like that. Unfortunately, like with everything else in life, things seemed to have changed in that magical wonderland and it sounded more like the place where nightmares were made.It was clear that someone other than the witch councillors was in control of the council. What all of them could agree on was that it was probably the Wolf King. It was the only option that made any sense. He hadn’t been attacking territories anymore because he had his sights set on something … Someplace far greater. The only thing nobody could figure out was why, until Lucienne sighed and said it.“Power. I mean, just think about it. If you were in control of the most powerful army in our world, what would you do with that kind of power?” It was nauseatin

Jake was all fixed up thanks to some angel magic which nobody, not even Melody, completely understood. The fairy queen kept to her word and as soon as they arrived at the fairy docks, Jake was whisked off to a tent that was already set up.One of the other angels that were there treated Zion and Lucienne was supplied with some extra tea that Zion had to drink every night before bed. And just like that, a huge crisis was averted. If they were on the pack grounds when it happened, it might not have worked out as well, and all of them agreed. The angels really knew what they were doing, which made Gabriella wonder if she should find out if they could get one to move to the pack house. Her train of thought was quickly halted when Lucienne reminded her that they were meant to be on holiday and not planning more work. There was, however, something Melody had to tell all of her friends. She told Matthew the night before and he was simply ecstatic. Melody patient waited until everyone was seated at the breakfast table. Gabriella was the first to notice that their normally chatty friend had been awfully quiet all morning. Thankfully, the sudden budding romance going on between Venus and Hunter drew her attention and Melody almost breathed a sigh of relief! She wanted all of them to be comfortable and relaxed when she gave them the news because she had absolutely no idea how they were going to react to it. Venus“You haven’t done anything wrong.” Venus wiped the tears from her eyes. She wasn’t ready to say the words out loud yet, since it was still really early in their relationship, but she knew that she had to give Hunter a chance. Their friends were standing on the porch looking on as Hunter helped her out of the boat and when they joined everybody else Venus joked that the idea of not being able to work freaked her out and she had to make a run for it.She hoped the joke would distract them, but she knew better. It wouldn’t be long before the girls asked her what was going on. Since she didn’t have a mother to talk to, she had always confided in her friends. Maybe it was time she trusted them with her feelings now. She needed to figure out how she felt about Hunter. They were all used to meeting their man and falling instantly madly in love.Venus, on the other hand, had a completely different experience. The girls were still very confused when the three guys appeared with suitcases.“What’s all this?” Gabriella laughed and Lucienne promptly explained. The guys had planned a holiday for all of them in the fairy kingdom and Melody and Matthew would be joining them near the border to the homelands. To say that the girls were surprised was an understatement! Venus tried to make excuses that she just had too much work to take care of, but Hunter wouldn’t hear of it.The girls were all bundled into a van with the guys and off they went. The guys had been prepared for everything and answered each question the girls had about what was going to happen to the work

GabriellaIt had been an incredibly long day and Gabriella was hiding from Venus on the terrace overlooking the training grounds. Lucienne and the warriors were training and she almost wished she could join them, but she was just too damn tired. Being queen was not what she thought it was going to be. Not that she thought anything really. It wasn’t something she had planned for her future and she wondered if she would ever be able to get her book done.“Spying on your man, I see.” Zion’s voice interrupted Gabriella’s thoughts and she blushed bright red.“You caught me red-handed!” She laughed as she turned her attention to her friend. “I never imagined I could love him this much. If I think back to when I found out we were mates,” She turned her attention back to the training grounds as Zion stood beside her.“Yeah, it hits you like a train, doesn’t it?” Zion pulled a face and they both laughed.“Don’t you girls want some dinner?” Melody appeared and they laughed as Zion commented tha

GabriellaNow that Gabriella had been crowned queen, it meant she was traveling a lot more than she originally thought she would. It felt strange walking into the council chambers this time and she instantly felt it. The weight of presenting her kind in the council was resting heavily on her shoulders. It didn’t feel like this before. Before, she was just there to fight for survival. Now she was going to be part of the group of people who made the decisions that guided their entire region of supernatural creatures.“Well, I would like to start by congratulating Queen Gabriella on her coronation.” The queen of the fairies was the first to speak. The appearance of the entire council had changed since they last met. The mistress of the forest had been replaced by a new representative as well since she had been imprisoned, but the king of the vampires still kept his seat. For some reason, they couldn’t find any proof that the man was involved in the Wolf King’s plans even if he fought sid

VenusLife as the assistant to the queen was a little more complicated than Venus had expected, but Venus quickly got all the necessary etiquette under the knee. Her problem wasn’t that she had to figure it all out. Her problem was that she had to now teach the damn wolves what it all meant to them! Venus was getting resistance from all corners and not just in their damn pack!Suddenly, alphas needed to see her about everything! It had become clear that Caesar didn’t keep up with his duties as he was supposed to. Being the ruler of the werewolves meant so much more than just chasing after wars! Venus had to bring all the paperwork for all the different packs back up to date since Caesar didn’t take care of any of that. New births had to be registered and deaths were just a damn mess! Venus sighed, thinking to herself that she would probably never be able to get it all back up to date as Hunter brought her some lunch. He had been an absolute godsend and she had no idea what the hell sh
