ASTRID.

My mind is filled with different thoughts as I step into the kitchen. It doesn’t help that everyone's eyes are on me, I can almost picture what their mind is thinking about.

‘Oh look at her, she thinks she’s mated to the Alpha.’

None of their hushed comments even seem to faze me at all, my eyes search for Juniper, I see her talking to an Omega with a flushed face, her white face not crimson red.

I walk over to them. “Hey. Juni.”

The Omega looks at me weirdly, before shifting away from me, as though I am like someone to be avoided, when she steps away, Juni gives me a weak smile.

“Sorry.” She whispered over to me, her brown eyes itching with apology, she spread her arms out, and I hugged her, she felt safe, it is as though whenever I am near her, I feel safe.
