Zach's POV "Anna!" Her name slipped out of my mouth like I hadn't said it in a while, because I really hadn't. My hands gripped the chair and I pushed myself up, still staring at Anna, my ex girlfriend. "Can I come in?" She asked, sarcasm making her voice. Without waiting for a reply from me, she started walking towards me, moving her waist from side to side. She had a big smile on her face, one you usually have when you haven't seen someone in a long while. "Anna." I said again, as she stood a few feet away from me. "Hello, Zach. Or should I say..." She started saying, before covering her mouth with her long fingers. "Don't say it." I slowly said, walking closer to her. I hated being called my nickname. It sounded so stupid and I had always hated it, but she loved it. No normal person would love to be called "zee." "Okay, I won't." Her eyes scanned me from my head to my toes and back. She seemed impressed. "You're not looking so bad." I moved away from her and went
Zach's POV Anna and I continued staring at each other, not saying anything. One minute, she looked as serious as hell and the next, her lips were trembling with laughter. I really didn't understand what she was trying to drive at. "What are you saying? You need help with what?" I asked her and shifted in my seat. She parted her lips to speak, but then, she didn't say anything. I stood up from my seat and walked past her, going to the door. When I got to the door, I unlocked it and opened it wide for her to leave. I had no time to waste someone I already forgot about. She turned around and when she saw what I did, she started laughing. "Are you serious? You're going to send me out? I'm here to talk to you. Let's talk. Please." She gestured towards me to move closer and I opened the door more, waiting for her to leave. "Okay, I'll start speaking now." She waited for me to say something, but when I didn't, she continued. "I live alone and lately, I've been hearing a few
Naya's POV I started packing my bags again, trying to leave the hotel room as soon as I could. But, when I put the last clothing into my bag, I stopped and sat down on the bed to think thoroughly about my decision because I had nowhere else to go and even if I did, I wasn't sure the money with me would be able to sustain me enough till whenever. Things were getting really hard really fast, but I knew that no matter what, I wouldn't be going back to meet my father. I was ready to do whatever it took to survive without him - or my brothers. I needed to clear my head and since I had nothing to do, I decided to take the car for a little ride, nothing too serious. When I got to the reception, the receptionist stopped me and said that she wanted to have a word with me. "What's the issue?" I asked her, and crossed my hands against my chest. I watched her swallow before parting her way too glossy lips to speak. "This hotel isn't going to be functioning anymore, and it's ab
Zach's POV Before Jack and Chris were about to get to Anna, I stopped them. They started staring at her, growling at her like something was wrong. "What's the issue?" I asked them, and they went back to their positions without saying anything to me. I glanced at Anna and I saw that she was still holding on to her chest, fear written all over her face. What was wrong? I didn't even understand what happened. My pack members usually act that way around enemies only. So, what was the issue now? "I asked a question and I need an answer. Why did you both react that way to Anna? You all know her, right?" I glanced at their faces and they looked away from me. I ignored that and continued. "So, what's the issue? She's not an enemy, she is.." I stopped to glance at her, thinking of the right word to use for her. "... she's not against us." I completed, not knowing what to say after that. The throne hall was so quiet, that I could still even hear the heavy pants from Chris.
Zach's POV "Anna?" I walked inside the room and my eyes darted around. She wasn't in the room, it didn't even look like she passed the night there. "Wh-" "I'm here, alpha Zach." Anna stood at the door, staring at me with a big smile on her face. My eyes scanned her from her head down to her toes. She looked like she had been running with the way her chest was moving up and down. She looked a bit sweaty too. "I'm guessing you didn't...stay here?" I asked, walking away from her bed. "Oh, I did. I just arranged it before I went out to..." She trailed off, looking away from me. My face squeezed into a frown and I crossed my hands against my chest. "Where did you go to anyway? I'm just curious. I'm sure you didn't go for a morning run because that'd be so stupid of you. You didn't, right?" I tilted my head to the side to look at her. She raised her head and shrugged. "I'm sorry!" "There are vampires out there. You're putting your life at risk. That's kind of ironic though
Naya's POV "Hey father, are you okay?" My voice cracked a little and I shut my eyes and placed my hand on my chest, resting in the bed as I did that. "Naya. Are you okay? You sound...unwell. Is everything fine? Do you want to come back home?" When my dad's voice came over the phone, I pushed it away from my ear and pushed it against the bed, still shutting my eyes. I started breathing in and out, trying to balance my breathing. I repeated that thrice before raising the phone from the bed. "I just wanted to know if you were fine. That's all." "Did you hear everything I said, Naya? I said that Zach is-" "Yeah, it's fine. Have a good day, dad." I put the phone down and nodded my head at myself before silently cursing myself out. It was just noon and I was already having a bad day. Hissing, I got out of bed and went straight to the bathroom to clean myself up. I didn't know what I wanted to do throughout the day, but sulking in bed while smelling weird wasn't it. Afte
Zach's POV "Um, I don't think I have to see them, do I? I mean, they are just guests. I don't have to see them to inspect. That's totally not necessary, don't worry." My eyes glanced around as I replied to the receptionist. She nodded her head and led the way, walking past many doors. I was surprised to know that most of the rooms were empty. "This is the recreational centre. People mostly come here to swim and relax. It's nothing serious." She said, walking again. I heard Anna yawn behind me and I stopped walking to look at her. "You could go stay in the car. I think that'd be better for the both of us. You don't have to stay here..with me." She stared at me and backed away from me. I could see that she was vexed at me. I couldn't care less anyway. "I'm getting a drink." She said, before turning around to leave.&
Zach's POV While Naya was sleeping, my eyes were fixed on her face. She looked the same, but skinnier. I wondered if she had been taking care of herself, because it looked like she hadn't. I had been watching her, making sure she was okay for an hour. She didn't stirr or anything, she just stayed in the same position, breathing softly. I couldn't help but to wonder how she would feel and react if she just saw me sitting before her. It was funny when I thought about it, my lips slowly curved into a smile. She started coughing and I instantly moved closer to her, holding her hands as tightly as I could. "Hey, hey. You're fine, just take it easy." I rested my hand on her chest to help her. Her lashes slowly parted and she partly opened her eyes. "Are you fine?" Immediately the words left my lips, her eyes jolted open and she started staring at me. I could tell that she was trying to think straight. Her eyes were squinted at me, staring at me form my head to wherev
Zach’s POVZach was about to deal with Anna, when she fumbled under the pressure and told him that she was going to tell him about their superiors, because she wanted to save her life, but before she could talk, she started bleeding from all her orifices, it was a terrible sight to behold.Zach stopped in his footsteps and looked around the vicinity, because the moment Anna started bleeding he could feel a terrifying presence near the pack house, he immediately disappeared from where he was standing, all the people around had no idea what was going on, but they could feel an oppressive air in the surrounding.Zach came back just as he had left, but his face was gloomy at the moment, Zach turned his head and looked at Anna who was lying on the ground on her last breath, he knew that there was nothing he could do to save her at the moment.Anna raised her hand at him, as if to grasp the last straw that could save her, but before she could raise her hand completely, her hand fell down, s
Zach’s POVZach could keenly feel that he was neither a living nor was he dead, he was just in between, when he closed his eyes and stopped breathing a month ago, he felt like he was in a dream state and was surrounded by darkness all around him, no matter where he looked all he saw was darkness, and he was walking on muddy ground, he felt like he was sinking to the ground. The more he walked around the place looking for a source of light, the quicker he was sinking into the muddy ground, so he stopped walking, there was a source of light that he saw ahead of him, but the more he tried to reach toward it, the quicker he sank into the ground.Even though everyone thought that he was dead he could hear what people were saying around him like they were whisper to his ears, he did not pay attention to all of them but he could pick up the most important.According to the tradition of the werewolves, werewolves with high position like himself were to be buried after a month of their death,
Naya’s POVNaya was in danger of dying at the moment, her limbs could not keep up with the speed of her brain in order to move to the side and escape Anna’s lethal attack. She closed her eyes waiting for her neck to be punctured by Anna’s long nails, she could still hear the frantic howls of the werewolves behind her, she was sure that it was her family members that were rushing to save her from Anna, a line of tear fell down her werewolf face, she did not want to die, but what could she do?If she had a little longer to train in movement and fighting in her werewolf form she would have been able to put up a fight against Anna, if nothing else. But she did not feel the pain of having her neck punctured even after some time, she also noticed that the whole area was eerily quiet, she wondered whether death was this tranquil, if it felt like this to be dead then it would not be that bad, she decided to open her eyes to look around to see what the afterlife looked like. When her eyes open
Naya’s POVNaya had gone to the back of the house to change back into her human form, because she did not want to appear in front of the werewolf community naked, but when she arrived at place, she remembered that she did not have any clothes with her to change into even if she transformed. For fear of appearing naked, she decided to ask her siblings to help her with some clothing from her room in the house, but even after some time she did not hear from her siblings. At first she thought that they might be in a meeting with the rest of the werewolf community on how to fight against the vampires, but after an hour had passed and she did not hear from her siblings, she decided to head to the front of the house and see what was going on.Before she even arrived, her nose picked up a strong smell of iron in the air, when she sniffed in order to discern what the smell was, she felt the nauseating smell of blood, and it was in a very large quantity.Naya immediately started having a bed fe
Naya’s POVNaya’s’ emotions had gotten over her, so she transformed into her werewolf form when she thought that the female clad in blue at the forefront of the vampires was Anna, who was Zach’s ex-girlfriend that plotted against her and used Luke to kidnap her before they put the virus into Zach. That was also the virus that was threatening her pregnancy at the moment, if not for the fact that her unborn baby had the remaining virus transferred to it, she would not be at risk of her and her baby dying, because the baby was way stronger than normal babies in the womb.So how could she control herself, when her arch nemesis was right in front of her, that was why she lost control, she was trying to jump over the gate and tear her into pieces, so that she could revenge.Mr. Alistair and his sons had surrounded Naya, they were trying to calm her down, so that she does not make any mistakes that would cost her life.Mr. Alistair said “Naya calm down, don’t do anything that you are going t
Naya’s POVThe twist and turns that had happened in front of Zach’s pack house were really unpredictable, the blue moon pack that was about to be removed from being the number one pack in the North, but not only did that not happen, they were now back to being the overlord of all the werewolf community, and the other big three had been killed off, even though their pack houses were still around and the pack members were still alive, the real figure heads in charge of the packs have been killed, so taking care of the rest of the pack would be quiet easy, it was really surprising, Naya could not wrap her head around what had happened, but she was really happy for the Blue Moon pack. She wished Zach was around to see this glorious day, but there was no problem, when everything is settled here, she would focus her attention entirely on reviving him, she then remembered who their enemies were at the moment, they were the creatures that she hated the most, the Vampires. She soon set her min
Naya’s POVNaya and her family members went to the Zach’s pack house, they were there for the meeting that was being held against the Blue Moon Pack, because they are being suspected of eradicating two packs in the Northern vicinity, just when they thought that there was no evidence to prove that the Blue Moon pack really did annihilate John’s pack, Mr. Chris called the last surviving member of John’s pack, and he was pointing his finger at Louis as the person that was responsible for the attack on his pack. There were a lot of twists and turns today, and finally Mr. Chris said that the Blue Moon pack were no longer worthy of being called the hegemon of the Northern vicinity, he was trying to take away their title, Mr. Montgomery wanted to deal with all the packs that were standing against them in his own way, when they heard a loud shout coming from the woods. All the members of the werewolf community immediately went on guard, they were surprised that they did not notice the intrude
Naya’s POVNaya saw that things were going awry in front of Zach’s pack house, the situation was tense and it looked like a fight was going to break out at any time, so she decided to step up and explain what happened, that got the Dark Knight pack to be eliminated, she saw the gloomy look on Louis face and he was telling her not to say anything. She was wondering why he was acting like he was going to say something against the pack.Naya decided not to pay attention to him, so she looked at the former Alpha’s of the big three and said “sir this is exactly what had happened” she started narrating how she was plotted against during a festival, at first she did not want to air out her dirty laundry to outsiders, but if she believed that it could help alleviate the condition of Zach’s pack, she would do so willingly, she was telling them all about what had happened that led to the annihilation of Luke’s pack, but while she was telling them, she did not notice that the three former Alpha’
Naya’s POVNaya had followed her father to the Blue Moon pack, for the interrogation that was going to happen soon, she learnt from her brother that there were four big hegemon packs in the werewolf tribes and Zach’s pack was one of them, even more shocking was that, Zach’s pack before the war with the vampires were the only true hegemon in the werewolf circle, and that all the other werewolf packs had to take orders from them, she never knew about this information, now that she heard about it, she was surprised. When the other big three finally arrived, Naya stopped asking her brother questions and moved closer to hear what they were talking about with Mr. Montgomery. When she arrived near the gate, it was already filled to the brim with people that were standing behind the people from the big three, Naya could hear what they were talking about because her sense of hearing had been enhanced, so she listened carefully in order to understand what was going on.She heard Mr. Montgomery’
