Chapter Thirty-six

Faelen’s POV

Later that evening, when I got the message that Hunter wanted to see me in his bedroom, my heart skipped a beat.

This wasn’t like our usual routine in his office… this was something different. Something more intimate I sensed, or devastating.

I couldn’t stop my hands from trembling as I walked down the corridor, the cool stone floor beneath my feet doing nothing to calm the heat building up inside me.

Why his bedroom today?

The question kept spinning in my mind, but I already knew the answer. I felt it in my bones.

Ever since that first kiss and touch, we’d been dancing around each other, pretending there were limits. But I felt those limits were soon about to break.

I reached the door and knocked softly, my heart thudding in my chest.

“Come in,” came Hunter’s deep, commanding voice from the other side. The sound of it sent a familiar shiver down my spine.

I opened the door slowly, stepping inside. The room was as I remembered it the last time I was he

Chapter Thirty-nineHunter’s POVI sat back in my chair, maps and papers scattered on my desk, yet none of it held my attention. As usual, my mind was occupied totally by thoughts about Faelen. She had left my chambers only moments ago, but already, the space felt empty without her presence... Both in the room and in my heart.“What in the name of the moon goddess is happening to me?” muttered underneath my breath.I’d always prided myself on being a man who never let emotions dictate my actions. Love was a weakness I could not afford, especially as Alpha. But here I was, feeling as if part of me had been torn away the moment she walked out that door. Her shy and naive smile still flashed in my mind. Her scent, even though she was just a slave, was intoxicating to me, and it filled the room with a warmth I hadn’t realized I needed.Running a hand through my rough hair, I exhaled sharply, the frustration boiling beneath the surface.I forced myself to look at the maps again, detailing

My heart beat a little faster, knowing that in just a few hours, I would be meeting the strange spy girl.I still couldn’t shake the feeling of unease about her sudden appearance. Why now? And why through the Steeprock pack, of all places? But as much as the impending meeting with her occupied my mind, I couldn’t help but think about Hunter.I hadn’t seen him all day, after I left his chambers, and the silence from him strangely felt unsettling.I had expected him to send for me at some point during the say, half expecting for one of the guards to appear and tell me that the Alpha needed me.But nothing, up till now. I’d caught myself pausing in the middle of my tasks more than once, imagining what it would be like to go back

Each struck made my heart pound harder in my chest.I let out a shaky breath, feeling a mix of relief and nervousness all at once. “This is it.” I murmured. The time had come, and there was no turning back now. Fear crept in as I thought about what I was doing… sneaking out in the dead of night to meet with a stranger, a spy no less. The danger was obvious, but so was my determination. I needed to know what this girl’s presence meant, for me and for the mission. This meeting was crucial, and I couldn’t afford to let fear stop me. That just wasn’t an option. The bells stopped, dragging the estate back into the heavy silence of the night.I slowly slid out of bed, my legs tense with both excitement and fear. My heart kept pounding hard in my chest. My bare feet hit the cold floor, which sent a shiver up my spine, but that didn’t make me hesitate any bit.Quietly, I

Chapter Forty-twoFaelen’s POVI thought we were finished, but it turned out there was more. Raven’s smirk faded as she glanced around, her eyes narrowing. She turned to face me and spoke in a low whisper. “Alpha Zodd has allies in Steeprock. They helped me sneak here.” She paused, looking at me up and down before she continued. “But you already suspected that, didn’t you?”I didn’t respond, my throat tightening as the reality of the situation became clearer to me every second.Steeprock’s presence here wasn’t a coincidence. They had a plan, and I was part of it, whether I liked it or not.“What have you learned?” Raven asked, her voice sharp and expectant.I hesitated. My heart raced as my mind flashed back to everything I had discovered since my arrival. But should I trust her with it? I had no choice. For now, she was my only link back to my pack, to completing the mission I had started months ago. I took a deep breath and began.“Howle Wulf is probably on the verge of war,” I whi

Chapter Forty-threeFaelen’s POVSunlight pierced through the kitchen windows as I busied myself with my daily tasks the next morning. But my mind was far from the duties of cleaning and cooking. It was beyond even the present. The meeting with Raven last night had stirred something inside me. At first, seeing her had filled me with unease. Her sudden appearance made me seriously question my own position. Was she here to replace me? Or worse, expose me?But after she left, those fears had faded, replaced by a strange sense of purpose. If her story was to be believed, then Alpha Zodd hadn’t forgotten me after all.He still needed me. And that meant something.I scrubbed the kitchen countertop harder, my hands working automatically as my thoughts circled on Alpha Zodd.It was almost amusing to think of him as the person who had my loyalty. He wasn’t the kindest, or the most compassionate of persons. To the world, he was a power-hungry and ruthless Alpha. I’d seen the way he treated his

Chapter Fifty-twoCaleb’s POV Hunter had been gone for hours. Not that it was my business to know where he went, but I could easily come up with a guess. It wasn’t hard to see the signs every time the Alpha tried to run from his problems. I’d watched him do it before. He would lose himself in a bottle until the anger and guilt he carried became numb enough for him to Ignore.Tonight wasn’t so different.I stood by one of the estate’s windows, staring out into the darkness, the moon shining a pale glow across the grounds. My thoughts spun, still replaying the scene I’d stumbled upon earlier. I’d tried to push it out of my mind, but it kept coming back, like a wound that wouldn’t stop bleeding. My jaw clenched as I remembered the way they’d looked at each other. Hunter’s raw, possessive gaze… so unlike him… and Faelen’s mix of shyness and shock. It wasn’t just a casual fling or a meaningless encounter. There was something more there. Something deep. The estate front doors creaked open,

Chapter Fifty-one Hunter’s POV The moment Caleb left my office, the silence that settled in the room was suffocating. I stood there, staring blankly at the door for what felt like forever. My mind spun with thoughts and emotions I could hardly make sense of. There was still the faint scent of Faelen lingering in the air, a maddening reminder of what had just happened.No. What I’d let happen.“Damn it,” I muttered, running a hand through my hair and tugging at it in frustration. This wasn’t how things were supposed to be. None of it. I was supposed to be in control… of myself, of my feelings and the whole situation.Yet, every time I was around Faelen, it was like I lost my grip on everything. And now Caleb… my best friend and my Beta, had seen me with her. Her, of all people. A servant. Someone I should have no business getting involved with, yet here I was.Guilt, anger, confusion… all clashed inside me, fighting for dominance. And beneath it all, the relentless tug of my emotion

I kept my gaze fixed on the floor, focusing on the sound of my own footsteps echoing down the corridor.I felt like I was suffocating under the weight of his silent judgment. How had I been so stupid? So reckless? Now outside the estate, I rounded a corner and didn’t stop until I was well out of sight, pressing myself against the cold stone wall.My breaths came in harsh gasps, and I squeezed my eyes shut, fighting the tears that wanted to spill out.But it was no use. The embarrassment of what had just happened, the shame of being caught like that by Caleb was too overwhelming.I sank to the floor, curling myself as the sobs came in wave over my body. What must Caleb think of me now? Chapter Forty-nineHunter’s POV As soon as I heard the door open and saw Caleb’s figure standing there, every muscle in my body tensed. The heat and passion from just moments ago vanished in a wave of shock and embarrassment.I looked at Faelen, her cheeks flushed, lips parted in surprise. My mind raced as the reality of what had just happened settled over us.The look of horror was plastered on Caleb’s face as he registered the scene he had just witnessed.“Shit…” I muttered under my breath.Caleb’s eyes shifted between us before he quickly turned away silently. He took a step back, the door swinging shut behind him.I could still feel his presence on the other side, no doubt rooted to the spot, waiting for… something.Faelen scrambled to cover herself, her hands trembling as she reached for her scattered clothes. She looked so vulnerable that moment, and all I wanted to do was pull her back to me, and protect her from the mess we’d just gotten ourselves into. But I hesitated, torn

  • The Alpha's Forbidden Omega   Soft moans

Chapter Forty-eightHunter’s POV I had my face buried deep between Faelen’s shaky thighs, my tongue doing wonders to her clit and entire womanhood.I’d gone out to fetch something from the library, and returning, I’d found her in my office. She seemed to be looking for something on my desk, but the sight of her both surprised and excited me that I didn’t bother why. When asked why she was here though, she’d lied about it. I’d known immediately that she was using the excuse of bringing me wine to see me, and somehow, that had made my heart leap with joy.Faelen let out soft moans as I ate her out, then gasps which came with heavy breaths… and mentally, I added those to the list of my favorite sounds in the world. Her hand was placed on top of my head as I worked my magic… one hand at first, then with both hands, she grabbed handfuls of my hair as I upped my tempo. Her whole body vibrated and convulsed with excitement as I went on, her head tilted backwards, completely lost in ecstasy.

Chapter Forty-sevenFaelen’s POV It had been days since Hunter and I had slept together in his private chambers, and I couldn’t shake the feeling of anticipation that hung over me.I had expected him to summon me, to call me back into his world, but nothing had happened. The only connection we seemed to have now was through brief glances across the estate, moments that felt electric but ended in silence as he turned his face away.It was as if I was a ghost to him, someone he couldn’t quite face after our shared secret.Every time I caught his eye, my heart raced with hope, only for it to sink when he shifted his gaze. He seemed angry, and I didn’t know how to reach out to him.He was the Alpha, after all, unless he summoned me or needed something, I wouldn’t dare approach him.I kept praying for him to call on me though, not only because I wanted to see him, but also because I needed to gather something useful to share with Raven upon her return. It was getting harder to reconcile

What’s your name?”Faelen hesitated, glancing at him in an uncertain manner. “Faelen, sir.” She answered.“Faelen, huh?” Alex repeated, giving her a friendly smile. “A pretty name for a pretty girl.”I saw it happen in slow motion… Hunter’s hand tightening around his wine glass, his gaze turning cold as he watched the interaction. For a moment, I thought he was going to shatter the glass in his grip. But then he spoke, his voice surprisingly calm, but with a sharp edge.“Faelen,” he said, drawing everyone’
