51: Seaweed dress

Alora’s POV

I was lying in bed, lost in the world of my latest novel, completely immersed in the plot and the characters. Each word was like a bridge, pulling me deeper into the story, letting me escape the reality of this dungeon.

For a while, the cold stone walls and the weight of my situation melted away as I became one with the fictional world. The tension in the book was high, and I could feel my heart racing alongside the characters as they navigated their own struggles.

The sound of the door creaking open brought me back to reality with a sudden jolt. My heart skipped a beat as I quickly closed the book, my fingers brushing over the worn cover as I placed it aside.

My personal maid or so Rune made it, entered the room with her usual quiet grace, her expression calm but focused as always. But what caught my attention immediately was the hanger she held in her hand.

Draped over it was a dress, a beautiful ball gown in the most stunning shade of seaweed green I had ever seen.
