Alora’s POV

The prophetess’s gaze turned dark as she looked at Nevaeh, her expression clouded with understanding. I don’t even want to look down at my own daughter in fear of what I might see. I might not be able to keep it together anymore.

Her voice was a murmur, low and grave, as she said, “This is the work of an evil witch. She sent someone to your home, finishing what she couldn't when you crossed paths at their realm.”

Anger flared inside me, raw and uncontainable, tightening my chest. I clenched my fists, my teeth grinding so hard as I tried to rein it in, but the fury only surged. Every betrayal, every trick, flashed before me in brutal clarity.

This wasn’t just an attack, this was their twisted revenge. And a declarance of a fucking war. They came for my daughter? Not me? I’m going to fucking kill Morrigan with my bare hands!
