Seraphina’s POV

blinked, trying to steady my breathing as I took in my surroundings. Everything felt surreal, like I had stepped into another world. The trees, the sky, the ground – all of it looked familiar yet utterly alien. The colors were too vivid, the air too still, and an unnatural glow seemed to emanate from everything. A strange energy thrummed around me, making the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.

“What is going on?” I whispered to myself, panic rising in my chest. My voice echoed back, unnaturally loud in the eerie silence.

“Lucas?” I called, spinning around. “Derek?”

Nothing. No sign of them. No sound except the faint hum in the air. My heart pounded in my chest as dread crept over me. “Where are you?” I shouted, my voice trembling.

Then came the pain. A sharp, searing ache coursed through my body, forcing me to my knees. My hands clawed at the ground, which felt soft and warm, almost alive. The pain wasn’t physical but something deeper, like it was ripping throu

Lucien’s POV“Alpha. Alpha!”The voice echoed, dragging me out of the chaos in my mind. I blinked, disoriented, my gaze snapping toward the source. It was Mira, the Royal Nurse, standing at the foot of my bed. Her expression was calm, but her eyes held a mix of concern and frustration.“You need to eat, Alpha,” she said, her voice gentle but firm. “And take your medication.”I let out a harsh breath, turning my head away to stare at the wall. “I’m not hungry.”Mira didn’t move. “You haven’t eaten all day. If you continue like this, your body will collapse. Again.”Her words sent a pang of irritation through me. I didn’t need the reminder of how I’d slumped over during the courtroom meeting three days ago. In front of my pack leaders, no less. The embarrassment still burned, but it was nothing compared to the weight crushing me from all sides.“I’ll eat later,” I muttered, my voice clipped.“No, Alpha.” Mira stepped closer, her tone soft but unyielding. “You’ve been saying that for day

Lucien’s POVI was getting stronger, feeling better these past few days. Guess I’m starting to get over Seraphine. I can do this, I told myself as I walked toward the courtroom. The crisp morning air carried a subtle chill, but I barely noticed. My focus was sharp. Today, the Council had decided to gather, and as Alpha, my presence was mandatory. The grand doors of the courtroom loomed ahead, their carved wood imposing yet familiar. Pushing them open, I stepped inside. The room was already buzzing with conversation, but the moment they saw me, silence fell like a shroud. One by one, they stood.“Alpha Lucien,” they greeted in unison.I raised my hand, a simple gesture that signaled them to sit. They obeyed instantly, their chairs scraping against the polished floor as they settled back down. My eyes scanned the room, taking in the faces of my Council. Each of them carried their own weight of responsibility, but none compared to mine.“So,” I began, my voice steady, “what matters do we

Lucien’s POVI stood near the borders of the pack, the towering trees swaying gently in the breeze. The woods stretched endlessly before me, their silence broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves. My gaze lingered on the movements, hypnotized. Yet my thoughts were far from peaceful.Seraphine isn’t dead, I told myself for what felt like the hundredth time today. Why are you lying to yourself? came the sharp, guttural voice of Thorin, my wolf. You know she’s gone. Move on, Lucien. You’re no good to anyone like this.“No!” I growled under my breath, fists clenching at my sides. “I can’t move on. I won’t.”You’re being ridiculous, Thorin shot back, his tone edged with frustration. You’re not just some lovesick pup. You’re an Alpha! The pack depends on you, and here you are, mooning over a ghost.“She’s not a ghost,” I snapped, my voice barely above a whisper. “You don’t understand, Thorin. I love her. I can’t let go. It’s like she’s still here, like she’s calling out to me.”Callin

Lucien’s POVI sat on the edge of my bed, my head buried in my hands. The room was suffocatingly quiet, every object within it a cruel reminder of Seraphine. The scent of her lavender perfume still lingered on the sheets, mocking me. The framed photo on my bedside table seemed to glare at me—a frozen moment in time where she was smiling, happy, alive."Why?" I muttered, my voice trembling with the weight of my emotions.Because you couldn’t save her, Thorin growled in my mind, his voice a mirror of my own frustration.“Shut up,” I snapped out loud. The bed creaked as I stood abruptly, pacing the length of the room like a caged animal. My fists clenched so tightly that my knuckles turned white, the veins on the back of my hands straining against my skin. The walls felt like they were closing in, each step I took bringing me closer to an implosion. You’re wasting time, Lucien, Thorin growled again. All this sulking—it’s pathetic."Pathetic?" I hissed, slamming my fist into the wall besi

  • The Alpha's Forbidden Luna   Chapter 69: Damien!!!

Lucien’s POVI stood in the woods with Ryder by my side, the chilly night air pressing against my skin. The forest was eerily silent, the moonlight barely filtering through the thick canopy above. My fists were clenched tightly at my sides as I stared into the darkness ahead. This meeting with Alpha Damien wasn’t about surrendering, no matter what he might think. I just needed him to look me in the eye and admit what he’d done. To tell me he’d killed Seraphine. Only then could I unleash hell on him and his pack.“Alpha, this isn’t safe,” Ryder muttered, his voice low but filled with urgency. He glanced around the shadowy forest, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword. “Damien could have set a trap. We need to leave. Now.”“Calm down, Ryder,” I said, not taking my eyes off the trees ahead. “Damien wouldn’t dare try something here. Not when he agreed to this meeting himself.”“You’re putting too much faith in his so-called honor,” Ryder shot back. “That bastard’s as slippery as they

Lucien’s POVDamien then called me back, and I turned to face him once more. His expression was darker, more sinister than before.“Lucien,” he said, his voice like a blade slicing through the still night. “You think you’ve won this little game? Think again. I’m coming for you, your family, and everything you own. Mark my words. I will attack your pack with everything I’ve got.”My fists clenched, but I didn’t respond. Damien’s words dripped with venom as he continued.“You think you’re so untouchable,” he sneered, taking a step closer. “But you’re just a man hiding behind a title. Your pack, your Beta, even your home… They’re all vulnerabilities, Lucien. And I’ll exploit every single one of them.”Ryder stepped forward, his voice filled with anger. “You’re all talk, Damien. We’re not afraid of you.”Damien’s laugh was cold, sharp. “Oh, Ryder. Always so loyal. But loyalty won’t save you when my warriors tear through your defenses like they’re paper.”I held up a hand to silence Ryder

Lucien’s POV “Alpha Lucien, with all due respect, what you did was foolish,” an elder said, his voice laced with frustration. “How could you go out there alone with your Beta? What if you were attacked by Damien and his barbaric army?” “I did what I had to do,” I said, my tone calm as I leaned back in my chair, gesturing to a guard. “Get me a fruit juice,” I ordered, ignoring the disapproving murmurs around me. The elder’s voice grew louder, tinged with disbelief. “Lucien, you’re acting as though this doesn’t bother you. Your nonchalance is… unsettling.” I smiled faintly and replied, “Getting angry isn’t the main deal. I know what I must do.” My calm demeanor only seemed to fuel their exasperation. “What are you planning to do?” another elder asked, his brows furrowed. The curiosity and frustration in his voice were palpable. I sipped the fruit juice that was brought to me, then ordered more drinks for everyone. “Be calm,” I said, leaning back. Lucien’s POV“Bring him to me!” I shouted, my voice echoing off the stone walls of the hall. My eyes narrowed as two of my warriors dragged a man toward the throne where I sat. His face was bloodied, his body slumped in defeat, but his eyes held defiance. It made my blood boil.As they threw him to the floor before me, I stood, my every step deliberate as I descended the dais. My voice was cold and sharp as I spoke. “Who are you?”The man spat blood on the floor but said nothing. My jaw clenched as I grabbed his hair, forcing him to look up at me. “Where is Damien?” I demanded, my voice a growl. He laughed bitterly. “You think I’ll tell you?”I released his hair with a shove, and he crumpled back to the ground. “You will tell me,” I said, motioning to one of the guards. A sharp blade was placed in my hand. I crouched down, the edge of the knife hovering near his throat. “Or you’ll wish you had.”“Kill me if you want,” he sneered. “Damien doesn’t fear you. None of us do.”I gripped the

I wasn't fed well, I wasn't even catered for well. I have just been locked up in this cage. But I don't regret my actions. I would do it again and again if I have to. I don't care. I am here to kill Lucien, and that I must do.Footsteps. Heavy ones. I knew the sound too well by now. The guard was coming with food. I sat up, my back pressing against the cold, damp wall. The air in this place was stale, filled with the scent of rot and old blood. I clenched my fists as the footsteps stopped right outside my cell. The metal door groaned open. A plate was shoved inside. Bread. Soup. The usual garbage. My stomach twisted in anger more than hunger."Eat," the guard grunted.I glared at him, my body tensed. He was careless today. Standing a little too close. Lucas's POVThe problem at hand is getting out of control. Alpha Damien is getting ground faster than I expected. I can feel the stress in the room as my leaders gather around the table in the strategy room. They’re all looking to me for answers, for some sort of plan that will turn this war in our favor. But all I can think about is the Luna—her words, her betrayal, and the chaos she’s brought into my life.“All I want right now is to make sure my pack is safe and that everything works out just fine,” I said, pacing around the room. “We need to win this war. No matter what.”“Alpha, may I speak freely?” one of the leaders, Marcus, asked, standing up.I waved a hand. “Go ahead.”Marcus cleared his throat, looking at the others before locking eyes with me. “The major reason we’re losing is because the soldiers believe the Luna is back. They’re saying she’ll bring bad luck.”My chest tightened. I slammed my fist on the table, making the leaders jump. “We are not here to discuss supersti

  • The Alpha's Forbidden Luna   Chapter 109: Lucas

Lucas's POV"Get the army ready. We have a war to fight."That was my final order to the Twins before I left for the priestess’s house. I needed to ensure Seraphina would remain asleep for another year. My claim to the throne had to be secured, and she was the only real threat standing in my way.Arriving at the priestess’s dwelling, I was met by her servants, their faces blank and unreadable. They bowed slightly, stepping aside as I approached the grand entrance."I need to see the priestess," I said, my voice steady but firm. One of the servants hesitated before responding. "She is in her chambers, my lord. She will be called. Please wait here."I exhaled sharply, forcing myself to stay calm. I had no time to wait. But I knew better than to push the priestess’s patience. So, I sat down, my fingers tapping against the armrest of the wooden chair.Minutes passed. Too many. The anticipation was suffocating. I was so close to my goal, yet everything still felt fragile. If Seraphina woke

Lucas’s POVThe fight between Alpha Damien and Alpha Lucien has been going just as planned," I said, sipping my wine in my house. "Now, the right time for me to strike is near.""Uncle... strike what?"I turned to see the Twin Alphas standing in my doorway. Their sharp eyes studied me as if trying to understand my words."Ah, nothing," I said quickly, waving a hand. "Just talking to myself."They traded looks, clearly unconvinced, but didn’t push further."Alright," one of them said. "We actually came here to tell you that the other agents you sent are here. They’d like to see you."I nodded. "Good. I’ll be downstairs in a minute."They paused for a second before finally leaving, slamming the door behind them. I smirked, stirring the wine in my glass as I leaned back into my chair.Over a year ago, I had Seraphina taken to a healer, and she had been asleep ever since. That made it the best moment for me to take everything that was rightfully mine. Without her around, my plans were mov

  • The Alpha's Forbidden Luna   Chapter 107:

Ryder's POVI walked outside angrily, still fuming. I did everything right for the pack. I made sure Seraphina was out. I made sure she was gone, yet she survived. And now she was back? Talking all kinds of nonsense to Lucien? Trying to ruin everything I had built? No. I wouldn’t allow it.“She should be dead,” I muttered, my fists clenching as I walked to my guards. “She was supposed to be dead.”As I approached, my guards straightened and bowed. “Beta Ryder.”“I have a job for you,” I said without hesitation. “Tell me about the guards around Seraphina’s cell.”One of them, Jax, stepped forward. “Her prison is heavily guarded, Beta. The Alpha ordered extra men to watch her. No one goes in or out without permission.”I cursed under my breath. Of course, Lucien would do that. “How many?”“Four inside, four outside. Two more at the entrance to the dungeon.”Ten guards. That was more than I expected. “Who’s leading them?”“Hale.”I gritted my teeth. Hale was one of Lucien’s most loyal me

  • The Alpha's Forbidden Luna   Chapter 106: Did Ryder do it

Lucien’s POVI walked back into my study room, angrily, even as I was lost in thought on everything that Seraphina told me earlier. Was she actually right? That Ryder was behind her attempted death? Nah... It can't be true. She can't be serious, I said to myself, even as I was so angry, trying to suppress my anger. The door creaked open, and Ryder stepped in, his usual smug look in place. "Alpha," he said, nodding at me. "Our men are winning in the war at the southern part of the pack. We have the rogues cornered. Just a little more force and—"I didn't let him finish.Grabbing him by the collar, I slammed him against the wall, my fingers tightening around his shirt. His eyes widened in shock. "What the hell, Lucien?!"I growled lowly. "You tell me, Ryder. Tell me why Seraphina is saying you were behind her attempted death! Tell me why she would look me in the eye and swear that my own Beta—my so-called right-hand man—is a traitor!"He scoffed, his lips curling into an amused smirk ev

Seraphina’s POV"Ryder," I spat, the name hanging in the air like a poison. "Your so-called right-hand man is the one who wanted me dead.""What?!" Lucien's eyes flared with surprise, his hands shaking as he stepped toward me. "You're lying!"The slap came too quickly for me to brace myself. My head snapped to the side, and the sting burst through my skin. Blood rushed into my mouth, and I tasted iron on my tongue.I wiped my mouth slowly, a slow smile twisting up the corner of my lips. "I don't lie, Lucien. Not about things that matter.""You think you can turn me against my Beta?" His voice was low, angry, each word holding the weight of a threat. His jaw clenched as if holding back a monster, his whole body shaking with repressed anger.I laughed bitterly, tasting the metallic taste of blood again. "What makes you think I give a damn about your Beta?"He advanced, looming over me, his shadow swallowing the dim light in the cell. "You’d better stop lying, Seraphina. If you think you

Seraphina’s POVGuess the loneliness has started kicking in.Night was falling, and I could still hear the clash of Damien and Lucien's men outside. The distant sound of swords clashing and men grunting filled the cold air, a cruel reminder that the war was far from over. I shifted slightly, my chains clanking against the stone floor, the silver still burning my skin. My body was screaming in pain, but my mind? It was sharper than ever.At this point, I didn’t even know if I had made the wrong choice coming here all alone, against the Priestess’s will. But what choice did I have? I needed my revenge, and I needed it fast."You didn’t," a voice in my head said.Ava.I scowled. "Don’t start.""You should have waited," she said, her voice calm but firm."Waited for what?" I snapped, biting down the anger rising in my chest. "For Lucien to get stronger? For Damien to finish what he started? You saw what he did to us, Ava! And where were you? Where were you when I was almost killed?" My vo

I tried to open my eyes, but they refused to follow. My head pounded, a dull ache spreading through my brain.Then—cold. Ice-cold water crashed against my skin, pulling me back into awareness. A sharp gasp ripped from my throat as my body jerked awake. My eyes flew open, and I saw them. Four guards stood around me, their faces emotionless, their eyes void of compassion. What the hell! I struggled, but something was wrong. My body refused to move the way it should. I reached for my wolf, calling to her, demanding her strength— But there was nothing. Silence. Panic crawled up my spine. My dog had never abandoned me. Not once. But now, she was gone—silent, inaccessible. I tried to move again. My arms didn’t budge. My legs felt stiff. What the fuck? I forced myself to look down and saw them. Chains. Thick, huge
