Brayden I was not happy when I woke up. I reached across to pull my angel close but my hand finds an empty spot on our bed. I open my eyes and look to make sure that she isn’t just close to the edge of the bed but no her side is cold to the touch. I sit up and scan the room. I can’t hear her moving around and while her scent lingers it is fading. I climb out of bed and walk into the bathroom. The air in here is still warm letting me know that she hasn’t been gone that long. I take a quick shower and head downstairs. It is quiet here. I don’t like it. I can hear the others coming this way as Claire walks out setting stuff on the table. Damn the food smells delicious. “Have you seen the girls?” I asked. “Sorry Alpha but I haven’t. I did notice a few of the cars missing as I walked over here this morning. It looks like they didn't eat before they left.” Claire answers. We sat down to eat when Blake, Chester, and Fraizer can running into the room. The three of them
Aliya Damn my head hurts. I slowly open my eyes and look around. I don’t recognize the room that I am in. I sit up and let my vision clear. Once it does I realize that I am in the guest bedroom. The same one I stayed in when I first came here. I am confused until the memories from earlier start rolling through my mind. Fuck the rogues attacking those two girls. Only they weren’t rogues, it was Andrew and part of his pack. I remember Tallyn being there and using her abilities. I vaguely remember others showing up right at the end of the fight. I am positive I heard Brayden talking. I know he was there because I felt the tingles running through my body. If they brought me back to the packhouse then why am I waking up in the guest bedroom? Unless Brayden is afraid of me now. I knew this would happen. I swivel my head around when I hear the door creak open. “Hey, you are finally awake,” Luke says. “How long have I been out?” I ask. “You have been asleep for 24 hours.
Brayden I stare out the window of my office watching the pups play around in the yard. I had no idea what to do when I caught Aliya packing yesterday. I had not intended to return to my room but Havok kept telling me that we needed to go back to our room. I am glad I did. I have no idea how far she would have gotten if I hadn’t gone back. She had most of her closet packed in that backpack of hers. I told Luke about it and he says that she more than likely placed an enchantment on it so it is many times larger on the inside than how it appears to everyone. I know I should have gone to her sooner but when Carlton told me about our room and the dead dove I didn’t want her anywhere near that room until I make damn sure it was safe. I have Harrington installing a new security system in the packhouse as well as on each floor. Only certain people will be able to access the floors. Right now it will only be ranking members and their mates, my parents, Eddie and Kendricks's parents,
Morrison It has been a week since Uncle Andrew and a few others went after those two girls. We had been searching for gifted wolves and had found two. They were sisters and hailed from a pack in Louisiana. I sent a couple of guys to that area to see if they could get eyes on the girls but it was found out that they were currently in Kentucky looking at colleges. The sisters were a year apart but the younger was extremely smart and had been moved up a grade so they graduated together. We had yet to learn what their gifts were. Mother and Nalmyra were looking into that for me. I knew that mom and Nalmyra were also looking into the Midnight Forest pack as well. Nalmyra said that she wanted to find out if a few of hte rumours that she had heard about that pack were true or not. She has yet to tell me what those rumours are. “How are they doing?” I asked. “They are resting. I have no idea what happened to them but I suspect that magic or something was used against them.” Mom
Aliya It’s been a week since Tallyn and I found Andrew and his bunch cornering those two girls. Brayden and I have talked everything out and we are fine once again. Brayden did have a meeting with all of the pack and told them what Luke and I are and the history of our family. I was surprised when the whole pack seemed to accept us without question. I really thought a few of them would be against us being hybrids and all. I know that many supernaturals are weary of the fae. I also know some outright hate the fae people. I can’t tell you how many members of the pack have come up to me and told me that they are themselves hybrids. When I told Brayden of this Alpha Phillips explained that when his great-grandfather created this pack it was to make a home for any wolf that was a hybrid or had other supernatural blood within them. He said that his family has always hated how purest most supernaturals were. He told me that his family has always thought that mixing blood would only
Brayden I looked at dad when Delanie and Sasha reacted the way they did. I had a feeling that this was a sore subject for them. I could also tell that they didn’t want to tell us which pack they were from. This made me very suspicious of them. I could tell that Aliya felt protective of them and for this reason I was willing to hear what they had to tell us. “Our pack originates in Kentucky, however we left our pack when I was 7 and Sasha was 6. Our father was the beta of our pack and the alpha at the time was his best friend. They had grown up together. They knew that Sasha and I are gifted wolves and they kept it secret not even telling the pack. Our alpha knew that he had a few spies in the pack but he could never flush them out. He didn’t want them finding out about us so it was only him and our parents that knew. He never even told his luna.” Delanie explains. “A few months after I turned 7 some other wolves showed up and asked our alpha if they could rest within our
Aliya We have had the fox cubs for a week and they have grown so much. Kilua is such a little thing. The other four are almost twice her size. Noir loves her and follows her everywhere. He is like her protector. I look over my shoulder when I hear Brayden grumble about something. I am helping him go through his filing cabinets and organize them. Mainly I am shredding shit that he no longer needs. I have found stuff in them from five years ago, hell I have found a few things from over ten years ago. I have a feeling that Alpha Phillips rarely went through them and got rid of shit. I asked Luna Hillary about it and she said that Alpha Phillips hated getting rid of things. I guess his excuse was that if he got rid of it he might need it. “Everything going ok over there? I hear a lot of grumbling and it sounds like you are aggressively typing.” I say. “Sorry angel, but half of this shit I don’t understand. Most of it has to do with pack finances and math and numbers are
Brayden I could tell that Aliya was stressed after hearing what Dreston had to say earlier today. After that conversation and finding out that Luke had still been talking to Shawn even after he had been killed she had been lost in her own mind. I had to take a couple of calls pertaining to some of the restaurants that we owned but as soon as I was done I started searching a few places that I could take her for a few days. I figured that we both needed a break from all of this chaos. Ramulus had said that at the moment Andrew and his pack are staying put since he and the other guy are still recovering. Zharten told me that he was able to palace two guys within the pack to keep track of what was going on. “Stop searching up locations to take your Luna. I have a villa in Italy that you can use for a few days or more. Take her there.” Zharten states. I look at him. I had no idea that he had even walked back into the room. He throws me the keys to his villa and tells me that he
