Alexander's POV...

I had seen dead bodies countless times before, but I didn't think I would feel this blank with my one-time best friend lying lifeless in front of me. It had happened so fast that there was no way anyone could throw blames around. Ben clearly knew what he was doing when he attempted to fight the warriors. There was no way he would have been able to escape.

Everyone stood startled, uncertain of what move to make next. Bethel seems like the only one unbothered among us all.

"I would ask for his body to be deposited somewhere far away or burnt. It would be a waste of land and time to bury him right." Bethel muttered, "thanks for the insight, alpha Alexander.
