Oscar's turned silent and avoided my gaze for a few seconds. Then he looked me straight in the eyes. "I was also confused about why she disappeared. I want to know why. On the day she stopped coming here in the garden, that is when I noticed something went wrong with her."

I released the breath I've been keeping inside me. The suspense is intense I thought I'm gonna get answer from the gardener but it turn out he had no idea what happened to Josephine as well. Such a bummer!

"Does she always come here in the garden every day?" I pressed further, not wanting to give up yet.

"Yeah. When she is not busy with her healer duties she always comes here either in the morning or afternoon to enjoy the flowers and she never fails to say hello to me. She is a cheerful woman, good and kind. It's a joy to see and talk to her every day," Carlos elaborated further.
