Jane’s POVThe sun was shining bright when I gathered some of my things and placed them in a bag, before quietly moving out. I knew I wasn’t welcome anymore, not after what I had just done to Ridian. I had spilled his secret to his wife and I knew he was not going to be happy about it. If he found out I was the one who had blabbed, he would come for me and make sure I never saw the light of day. I wasn’t going to wait for that to happen like I was a fool. I couldn’t stay there any longer. I had to look for a place where I could start over. I needed to speak to someone who hated Ridian, and there was one person I was sure did. Alpha Aragon of the moonshine pack may have been vanquished but I was pretty sure he was planning revenge. No werewolf would let themselves be defeated and do nothing. They’d rather die trying. It was better than having to live under another alpha. Whoever this man was, I was sure he would appreciate my services. All I needed was for him to find me a place to li
Ridian.I tried to understand where Cilla was coming from but I did not like it when she asked to me relinquish the moonstone pack. There was no way I was going to do that. The moonstone pack was already under my control and I was not about to lose it right after getting it. If Cilla didn’t want to control it, I would do it myself. I immersed my body into the cold water and swam towards the upper part of the river which had a long flowing waterfall. The water was colder than usual and it was making thinking and concentration harder. I decided to get out of the water and sit on one of the large rocks at the river banks. The sun was dull but it came with some warmth. Being nude by the river felt freeing. It had been a while since I was outside alone.I began to think of how was going to run two packs. I realised that I had not thought enough about it. The additional responsibility was enormous. Conquering a pack also comes with resentment from the members who were not happy to be under
Jane’s POVThe man I had met by the crystal pack’s border turned out to be Adam Grove, the beta of the pack. When I had met alpha Aragon, he was not charmed by me at all. He only accepted to help me when I told him that I could help him destroy Ridian Jamison. After explaining who I was and why I wanted revenge against Ridian, he was in. unfortunately he could not let me stay in the pack because Ridian would know. This would work better if Ridian didn’t know where I was, and that I was working with the person whose pack he had taken away. Besides, that would put my life at risk.Since Aragon was friends with the leaders of crystal pack, he asked them to shelter me while we came up with plans to destroy the Blackmoon pack. It was because of that that I was stuck in crystal pack with beta Adam showing me around. Crystal pack was vast. As I moved around in the large tomato farm, I remembered the last time I had been there.I had been with my first boyfriend Alex hill. Alex hill’s grandpa
Cilla. The silent treatment had lasted for a few days and it was not about to end, at least not from my side. Ridian had not refused to admit he did anything wrong, and he was still adamant about retaining the pack. Despite knowing that I was not happy about it, he refused to do anything. Camilla had said I was being unreasonable, because this was how things always worked, but I held my ground. I believed that things could change. Although we wolves were naturally territorial creatures that would do whatever possible to gain more control, it didn’t have to be like that. We could tone down that part of us if we choose.I glanced at Ridian who was still sleeping soundly next to me and felt a rush of sensations. Ever since the silent treatment started, he had not touched me and it was killing me. Being with him on the same bed was torture. All my body wanted was for him to wrap his large arms around me but my mind was saying something else. I had to be strong. I knew he was suffering as
Cilla. There are very few experiences more powerful and intense than make up s*x. it is amazing. It allows you to release pent up emotions and physical tension. It is the best thing a couple needs after a fight because it allows them release the built up anger, disappointment or frustration. The heightened emotions really add to the intensity of the experience. After our morning session, I felt reconnected to my husband again. “We need to get ready for the ceremony,” Ridian said, getting off the bed. I smiled as I watched him walk to the bathroom, stark naked. “Take a picture, it might last longer.”I chuckled as I sat up. Placing my legs on the floor, I stood up. I bent down and retrieved my dress before putting it on. I could hear the rush of water from the shower. I was feeling euphoric and happy. Before this morning, I had been very nervous about the coronation ceremony. Not being able to talk to my husband about it had made things worse. Our love making session had changed thin
Ridian. No alpha that I knew of had ever walked out of the coronation of their Luna but I did. If I had stayed there, my fury would have driven me to doing things that I’d have regretted. It was better for me to leave there immediately because I didn’t even want to look at her. I loved Cilla but she had crossed the line. How dare she disrespect me in front of the whole pack? After our morning session, I thought she had decide to accept that Moonshine pack was now annexed to ours and we were going to be in charge of it. I could understand that she still had her reservations but I didn’t like the fact that she rejected my gift in public, in front of everyone including a few representatives from Moonshine pack. What this would do to my reputation was worse than what relinquishing Moonshine pack silently without giving a reason would have done. Now if I let it go, everyone would know that it was because my wife did not want it. I was going to be known as the weak alpha. While it was a bi
Cilla. That night, Ridian and I slept in different rooms for the first time since we were married. None of us wanted to talk. I had eaten my dinner early so when he returned, I was already locked up in the guest room. Ridian had lately acquired a smart phone for me since he also had one. The human world was developing first and we would get left behind if we didn’t try to catch up. While our way of life was simpler and peaceful compared to that of the humans in their bustling cities, we still needed a few upgrades. Their technology really made life easier and we were trying to integrate more of it into our lives. Some packs preferred not to have it at all, because it brought some contaminations. When people discovered and tried devices, the more they wanted them. As they got engrossed in them, they forgot what was really important. Relationships and family.I started playing an interesting block building game on the phone. The instructions were very clear and it was simple, therefor
Cilla. There was only one place I could go and still be safe. Home. I rushed to the kitchen to find Cara. Thankfully, she was alone. She was leaning against the counter while writing something on her notebook. She closed it when I stormed in.“Tell the twins that I’ll be back before the day is over,” I told her.She turned the tap on and came to where I was standing. “Where are you going?” she whispered.“I can’t tell you,” I said to her. If I told her, she would tell Ridian and then he would come after me. Since the last thing I wanted was to be in the same vicinity with him, I had to keep that information to myself.“Do you have the keys of the truck?” she asked.I shook my head. “I don’t plan on using it.” “Have you told-.”“No, please come with me to the gate.”Cara escorted me to the gate, without asking more questions, before returning to the pack house. Since I was the luna, the security didn’t question me of my whereabouts. Instead, they offered protection.“Can I come with y
Cilla. One week later, we assembled the whole of Moonshine pack. We had speeches from both sides and the last speech was Ridian’s. When he made the announcement that Sasha Miller would lead the pack, the crowd erupted in cheers. “Please come forward,” Ridian asked Sasha who seemed so shocked by the announcement she couldn’t move for a while. Eventually, she strode forward in a responsible fashion and the crowd roared once me. I scanned the gathering and found alpha Aragon in tears. He seemed to be very happy that his daughter was going to be in charge. “We have been observing this brilliant young woman for a while since she returned and we have decided that she is the best person to replace her father in the leadership of this pack,” Ridian continued. “We shall talk with the elders so we can have a coronation ceremony as soon as possible. Although your new luna will have to report to me, you’ll have more autonomy over yourselves. We believe she’s the best person to steer this pack to
CillaWaking up next to my lovelies was the best thing ever. I had slept through the morning. I woke up at 11 am and found Rose and Ren still asleep, their heads on each of my arms. My arms were hurting. When I tried to push them away so I could get up, they opened their eyes and tried to snuggle closer. I chuckled before speaking.“My hands hurt,” I said. They both moved away from them and sat up so I could bring my arms together. The action was painful but it was worth it. I had had the best sleep in a while and would do it a hundred times over. Knowing that Jane was dead and couldn’t hurt us was the icing on the cake.“How did you know where we were?” Rose asked.“I’m your big sister. I know everything.”“No, you don’t.” Rose said.“Seriously,” Ren said.I had noticed that Ren was growing faster, developing the snarky attitude of a teenager before his sister. Since I was now a parent, I had to learn patience and find a way of dealing with him without causing more problems.I told t
Ridian.“Rose! Ren!” Cilla yelled, while running around the forest with tears streaming down her face. I followed her, begging her to stop for a moment but she couldn’t. She continued running further and further from me. When she finally stopped, she dropped to the ground.“I can’t believe we did everything for nothing,” she said. “You were right. We shouldn’t have wasted time going to the prison. Why did I have to think of such a stupid plan? Now, Jane is dead and I’m the one suffering. What kind of stupid revenge is this? I messed up, Ridian. I’m so stupid.”“No, you’re not.” I told her. “We’re going to find them. I’m sure they’ve run off somewhere. Suddenly, I felt something hit me from the back. “Run, Cilla. I’ve been shot.”Cilla Rose and came behind me, pulling out the arrow quickly. We both turned instantly and started running. We ran until we were out of the forest. George and his human friend were also nowhere to be seen. “What is happening?” Cilla asked. When we got into a
Ridian. The children’s shelter was surrounded by a wall fence which we easily jumped over. The car remained outside the fence while Cilla and I went in, dressed in our ski masks, the driver waiting for our exit. The shelter had an office building and a boarding house where the children and youth resided in. from our online stalking, we had found out that it was one large hall divided in the middle. One side was for very young children and preteens while the other was for older teens. It was amazing how foolish humans were. How do you claim to be protecting children yet give out all the details about where they lived? It didn’t make sense at all.Ross and Ren were twelve, and that meant they were in the teens section. The website had stated that 11 and below were in the younger children section. This made things easy for us since the younger children had matrons sleeping in their side. The side with older teens had no adults. The guard at the gate was easily taken care of. Cilla had k
Ridian. The city was called Everdeen City. It took us about three hours to get there by car. When we reached, Cilla and I paid for a suite in a hotel while the warriors went to search for the location of the shelter and prison with the help of Google maps. Science and technology was making things really easy. We waited in out room anxiously for more information while watching the television for more updates. As expected, the police did not give out much information about the investigation. That was annoying. I felt like visiting her but I knew it would alert her on what we were planning to do. I wanted it to be a surprise to her. A few hours later, the men arrived and we were also taken to the place. We drove by the shelter and then the prison where Jane was being held as the police searched for information about the children. We decided we would carry out both operations at night. I found it hard to believe that Jane had been arrested by a human policeman and had failed to defend he
Ridian. It had been two days since Cilla started training with Brody and it was not sitting well with me. I knew that she wasn’t going to do anything with him. I think I was more annoyed by the fact that she had opted to ask him to train her and not me. I was so much better than Brody in everything. It hurt me that she opted to ask him, as if she trusted him more than me. I tried to distract myself with other things but it was hard to stop thinking about the fact that they were both training together. When we were together, everything was mechanical. We did almost everything together and even slept on the same bed but we failed to connect like before. Cilla spent most of her attention on her phone and I ended up doing the same. We were like two strangers living in the same house. Cilla was so depressed that I barely knew what to do with her. I tried to help her but she never seemed receptive or interested in fixing the issues that were bothering us.The only good thing happening was
Jane.Tom was a lanky young man. He was very tall but quite thin. He had a beautiful sweet face and a very nice smile. The first time he smiled at me, I felt my insides warm up. His house was quite messy as it looked like a party of druggies had just ended. The house reeked of smoke and alcohol. It was no place for children but I had nowhere else to take them. While the kids were still unconscious, I quickly tried to clean the house, not for their sake but for mine as well. I didn’t think I’d feel comfortable staying in such a dirty place. If Rody had told me Tom was a mess, I’d have found another place. Tom was watching me as I worked and since I was wearing very short shorts, I decided to give him a good view. I needed him on my side. People are fickle about kids, even bad people. Anyone who wants kids to suffer is a monster that’s beyond saving. There are not many people like that. There was a chance that tom was not like that. I had noted his reaction when he saw me getting them
RidianWhen Cilla settled into bed next to me, I felt tempted to reach over and pull her close but was somehow able to resist the temptation. I was tired of fixing things. If she wanted the silent treatment, I would give it to her. After all, she was the one who barely showed any happiness after knowing that I was back home. I was beginning to think that she wanted me gone. But hell, that was my pack. There was no way I would abandon it for long. If she didn’t want to see my face, she could leave. I could survive without her, after all. Before she came into the room, I had been about to sleep but now that she was lying right next to me, it was almost impossible to get any sleep, especially since a certain part of my body had decided not to listen to the rational thoughts coming from my mind. It wanted what it wanted and not even my stubbornness was going to stop it. I decided to wait it out since I didn’t want to cave and be the one to make the first move. I was pretty sure Cilla wasn
Cilla.Defeating the rogues made me feel pretty good about myself. I realized the need for me to train more after that attack. Having realized that Ridian would not always be there to protect me and the pack, it was time for me to better my skills incase stronger enemies decided to attack us. I was very happy with what I had achieved but knew there was need for me to do more.Kenny tried to punch my arm but I expertly dodged it and punched him in the chest instead. I had realized that he was trying to go easy on me and was trying to …him so he could fight back and we’d have a better training. As much as I tried he never budged so I started thinking of getting a new trainer. “Call Brody,” I told Kenny as I went to sit under a tree and drank some water. Kenny concentrated and linked to Brody. I didn’t hear what he was seeing since he was speaking through his mind. Eventually, he came up to where I was.“Are you sure about this?” he asked. “Mr. Jamison is said to be pretty rough on the
