"I have never seen rogues moving in groups." Mason mind-linked as we blended in the meadows in our wolf forms, looking at the interaction between Gwen and the rogues.

"You are right. This is weird because they are crazed, and most times they don't even have organized attacks." I replied, crouching lower when Gwen looked around, and stashed the bottle in the pockets of the jacket she wore.

"Do you think she's trying to finish what Nathan couldn't?" Mason asked as the rogues left. Gwen adjusted the baseball cap she wore, looked around again, and then began walking north.

"Yes, the question is, why go through all this trouble? It seems there is something we don't know, and I intend to find out." I mind-linked my wolf sniffing the air.

"Have you noticed that the rogues aren't emitting any rotten smells?" I would have scratched my chin had I been in my human form.

"That's weird." Mason replied, waiting for her to walk a distance before following her.
