CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX

VENITA:

I slowly woke up and immediately noticed a strong, attractive masculine scent that I knew well. The bed felt incredibly soft, like silk, and there was a pleasant smell of strawberries in the air. My head throbbed, similar to a hangover, but I hadn't had any alcohol recently.

I took my time, opening my eyes cautiously as the light made my head ache even more. When my vision finally cleared, I realized I wasn't in my own room. This place was larger and elegantly decorated with a more masculine touch.

The room was unique and more sophisticated. It showed that someone with a taste for finer things had designed it. As I lay there, trying to make sense of my surroundings, I tried to remember how I had ended up here but my memories failed me. Everything was in fragments, not making sense.

The room was filled with an overwhelming masculine scent, a high-end cologne with rich, woody notes and a hint of spice. It clung to the sheets and hung in the air, creating a soothing atmosphere.
