CHAPTER SIXTY-EIGHT

LANDON:

I had equally smelt this place while I was out in the city. I guess it was one of the heights of being mates.

“I want to know more. All the research I have been doing doesn't make sense,” she explained, turning the engine off. “Please, don't lie to me. I know more now. I want to enjoy this night and have it stamped on my forehead as one of my favourite nights."

Exhaling, "I know where to go, so just stick with me.”

It had grown dark, the nearly full moon was rising in the distance, and the air was crisp and cool. Venita opened her door and stepped out, and I did the same, closing the passenger door behind her as she followed me to a clearing.

“Turn around,” she ordered. “And don’t even think about peeking!” She warned as she reached behind her to unzip her skirt.

“I have seen and felt everything,” I winked at her, turning to face the house. It was strange that we were back on a formal basis. Warning to not pick a glance? Well, it was better than nothing. I couldn’t help it,
