CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWO

VENITA:

After my brief yet refreshing routine of freshening up and changing into a new set of undergarments and outfits, I approached the door, reminding myself to be patient with the situation. As I turned the handle, true to Venita's words, the door was unlocked. Stepping out, I found myself in a corridor flanked by two closed doors. Moving cautiously, I tiptoed forward, heightened senses anticipating the unknown.

The walls of the corridor were painted in the same oyster bay hue as the room I had left behind. Contemplating whether to open the first door I passed, I wondered about the mysteries that might lie behind it. Would it be another room similar to the one I stayed in, or perhaps something more shocking, akin to the secrets I had uncovered in Landon's basement?
