When they called on Venita which was unexpected, for the most reason, my heart sank. Not that I was moved by whatever she was going to say nor was it going to have any implication on me. However, if she accepted to actually testify, that was why my heart sank. Would she do it?

Standing, "I would like to decline, Your Honor, given that I don't know the case," Venita said.

"That's valid," the judge accepted.

I gave her a broad smile. She just proved a beautiful point to me.

"We knew that would happen as he, Mr. Kurt has individuals loyal to a fault even if it means preventing justice. We would like to call a second witness to the stand," Anthony's lawyer, a relentless short man stated.

"Go ahead," the judge encouraged.

None of this was getting to me. I couldn't wait for it to be over so that I would enjoy wiping that stupid smirk off Anthony's face. I was fixed on making him hurt in more ways than he could ever understand.
