Garret’s POV We met with the Blood Lake to check our combined forces. “You have the 70 rouges, I want the Alpha,” Alpha Malcom growled. “Your son is dead, you have anyone you want.” I tell him. “Are you sure you’re up for this?” “I’m ready let’s kill.” I would not be as calm or collected if GJ was dead. We held positions killing patrol units as they pass. Once I get the mindlink from Jake that we have the Territory completely surrounded. I nod to Alpha Malcom. Kill Is the only order we give. We leave the packmembers alone. They are innocent, it’s the packhouse and those who guard it. We are all in wolf form tearing through them like a football team running onto the field. They were not prepared at all. No defenses had been set up. Alpha Malcom and I are machines working our way to the Alpha Clive’s office. We both shift notcaring that we are naked when we start down his hallway. “Try not to kill him as soon as we see him. We need answers.” “Luck
Rita’s POV- I stayed out of view when the Alpha and Luna and pack-members who lost children were here. My belly would be another dagger in their hearts. A dagger they didn’t need. Garret had a lot to catch up on after the funerals. I could see Casey’s death affected him. He loved her. Maybe not in the same way he loves me, but she was a part of his life. I know he kissed her in the hospital, I felt it. It was tender and apologetic not passionate. I hope he comforted her in her last moments. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little worried that Casey could now visit Garret in his dreams. Not that he sleeps much at all these days. He has been figuring out this Alpha thing mostly alone because that’s how he wants it. Im getting close to my due date. Rebecca is insisting I use the Luna Suite at the hospital even through we haven’t done my ceremony yet. I still don’t know. The kids are getting excited about their new sibling. Even as I felt Garret slipping a
Garret’s POV- Our wedding/Alpha/Luna Ceremony is now only a week away. It’s been 1 year since the rouge attacks. We have had a memorial built and placed in honor of the six we lost. We have helped the families financially. We have increased our training and patrols. We have honored the memories of the children lost in the attack. We helped rebuild the school and took in Blood Lake pack members who needed to leave due to the trauma they experienced. It took until this weekend to move from the Gamma floor to the Alpha floor. Rebecca moved out in a month, but Rita and I were not ready to move just. Both kids have adjusted to be being the Alpha’s kids. Gracie loves being a princess. GJ is eager to learn his future role. Of all the phone calls I expected today, my first day working from the Alpha office on the 8th floor, this was not it. “Alpha I need you to take more members from my pack,” it was Malcom again. “Alpha what ever you or they need. How many?” “All of them, all 900
Rita’s POV We were counting down the days until our wedding now we are traveling to meet the high council. Alpha Clive was crazy yes, but he kill 67 children. True proper procedures were not followed, but Alpha Malcom is dying isnt that punishment enough. “Alpha Garret Mitchell you were a witness in the attack and watched as Alpha Malcom slowly killed a fellow Alpha?” “I was present at a child murder’s confession and execution.” My warrior stands tall and straight he is not afraid not of anyone. “Alpha, Alpha Clive was not convicted of any crime and is held as an innocent man. Unless you proof of crimes.” The Elder was clearly out to get Garret for some reason. “Proof you ask. Yes I have proof I have tons of proof. Proof in these boxes, confessions from 70 rouges hired by Alpha Clive. The confession of Alpha Clive himself. The testimony of the young wolf Clive was attempting to infect with disease. What more proof do you need? This child killer deserved to die
Garrett’s POV I have spend the last four hours searching for Rita in and out of the Elder’s Denver offices. Luke, Chris, Regent, all of them have been searching with me. We can’t find her scent. There is no trace of her. All of the Elders are accounted for, so this was a rouge. We gather in the courtroom to go over what we know, what we think, what we can prove. “Who else is missing?” Regent asks. “Everyone else is accounted for,” Chris confirms. “Where is Lewis?” Alexzander has arrived. I didn’t call him straight away, I called him after 2 hours. “I’m here Zander don’t go nuclear on me,” he is smug and slimy. “It’s Alpha Alexzander,” Alexzander looks murderous. You would never think it the way he is constantly cold with his children, but he clearly loves them. “Where have you taken her Lewis?” “It’s Elder Lewis and I haven’t taken your daughter,” the two men are staring at each other. It’s clear Elder Lewis hasn’t trained in several years, but I know Alexzander keeps his
Rita’s POV “Mommy?” I hear G’s voice and What sounds like Gracie’s whimper. “G, Gracie, is Grayson here?” I was still blindfolded. “Yes Gracie is holding him, he’s asleep,” G said. “We are in a dungeon. Two of our pack members are guarding the door.”“You are sure they are our pack?”“Yes ma’am.”“Baby have you commanded them?”“Can I? I’m just a little Alpha.”“Gracie you can help too , order them to release me, use your Alpha voices.”“RELEASE OUR LUNA,” both twins said together. It must have worked because my hands were freed and the blindfold came off. I looked around the guards were submitting to the twins. “My sweet Alpha’s, good job,” I said freeing them and holding all three in my arms. Normally, a child has to take the Alpha position to get their Alpha Voice, but G and Gracie were born with it. I have an authoritative voice, similar to an Alpha, I’m Alpha blood after all, and Technically Luna, but the kids have stronger auras and therefore stronger Alpha voices. The
Garret’s POV It’s been a week since I brought my family home. We still haven’t located Elder Lewis so I have confined them to the packhouse. Rita in particular has been going stir crazy. The pups have had friends in and out so they are happy. I need to keep them safe. Nothing can hurt them here. Rita still hasn’t remembered her torture. I can’t bring myself to tell her what I felt during her time in captivity. My only happiness is the kids don’t seem to have been hurt, just scared. But they are so resilient and have a confidence I wish I had. I’m sitting in my office while GJ sits under my desk pretending to be Alpha. Gracie is setting a tea party on the coffee table, Rita is reading a book to Grayson. I am content to have everyone in one room. My mate flashes an image to me that is not safe for afternoon tv. Three weeks ago I would have had the children watched by the Nannie for a couple of hours. But I can’t bring myself to sleep with my mate. Something Is off with us. I know
Rita’s POV Now that I’m starting to remember I don’t ever want to be helpless again. Rebecca agrees it was too easy for those rouges to take her and Anastasia down. So Rebecca and I have been training. Dad always had us train and work because of the rouge issues all around San Francisco. But we were never alone and as long as we held our own we were fine. In LA rouges didn’t attack, mostly because it’s too populated. Impossible to keep the secret of werewolves. We just avoided each other. Now My family, my kids are under attack and I need to be ready. So I’ve spent the last month doing just that with my sister. We came to the field decent fighters now we are ranked the best females in the pack. “Hey,” Chris saids coming over to us as we get ready for training. “Alpha gave permission for you two to train with the males. He doesn’t want anyone getting hurt. So be nice.” “Hey if they can’t keep up that’s in them not us,” Rebecca shoots back. “Anastasia wants to get back to training
