ghost from the past

He turn and gave me a confused look.

He looked more cold than I remember. He was my best friend in high school while I was Myra.

“Sorry, have we met”?

He asked seemingly confused Alpha Klein also gave me a questioning look.

“I'm sorry, I must have seen you on business news or something”.

I instantly corrected myself

“Wow!! You are beautiful”.

I heard someone say coming from the entrances so I turned to see who, only to see a man with a very pretty face that could pass as that of a woman, who couldn't bear to hurt a fly. He had the most welcoming smile as he walked towards me.

“You must be Kyra”.

He said as a matter of fact. I simply nodded and offered him a handshake, he then kissed the back of my hands and curtsied.

I couldn't help but smile at his funny antics.

“I'm Andre Morgan by the way”.

He said, still all smiles.

“Nice to meet you Andre”.

I replied, equally as well.

“The pleasure is all mine”.

He finally walked over to one of seat next to Alan. So I decided to also take a seat.

“Good morning”.

I finally returned Klein's greeting. He looked at me and nodded in response. Alan also did the same.

I wondered if this was the same Alan I used to know back in high school.

He seemed to have noticed my stare as I just couldn't stop myself.

“I am his beta and best friend. I'm guessing you know my name already, Alan Wales”.

He said without even sparing me a glace.

“Mmm”

That was all I could say. I finally turned to Klein thinking of how to bring up my plans of joining the entertainment industry, but he beat me to it.

“Do you have anything planned for today”?

He asked, as though I had the right to do as I pleased. I quickly nodded.

“I have an audition to attend today by 12 noon, I will be back as soon as possible, Is that okay with you”?

They all turned and stared at me, even Alan finally raised his head and glanced at me before returning to the French toast in front of him. Probably because he owns one of the biggest entertainment industry in country, Golden star entertainment.

“You are interested in entertainment”?

Klein asked, I still couldn't read any emotion on his face no matter how hard I tried.

“Yes”.

Was the single answer I gave. Not sure of how he would react. He silently stared at me for a moment.

“I will be off to the office soon, I will drop you off if you want”.

I literally saw Andre's mouth drop, although I wasn't sure why.

“Really, that will be awesome”.

I said and immediately ran up stairs to get ready so as not to delay him.

3rd person POV

Klein watched as she dashed upstairs, like a little rabbit.

“We have a problem Klein”.

Alan said in a calm yet grave tune. Klein closed his eye for a bit,

“You mean the rogues? I think there is an insider, who has been feeding them with information, but not to worry, I have a plan”.

He said still expressionless as he looked towards the stairs.

“Is this really a good time Klein? you know she can't shift right, i can't even smell a wolf in her at all”?

Andre asked with so much concern on his beautiful face.

Klein looked at him and just said

“She will be fine”.

But for the first time in history there was a tiny trace of worry in his voice that could barely be noticed.

Klein looked up and there she was, walking down the stairs in a simple maroon flared dress which complemented her skin so perfectly well, she packed her long black hair in a pony tail, which exposed her slim long neck and perfect collar bones.

He couldn't believe there would be a day when his heart would actually beat for someone until he laid his eyes on her, Kyra, his mate.

He never understood what the mate bond felt like, not until now, every little thing she does just felt right.

He didn't ever want to let her out of his sight, he was ready to love her, kiss every part of her and do the craziest things with her, but he didn't want to scare her away.

Plus, because she has never been in touch with her wolf side, she doesn't even have a clue that she is his mate neither does she feel the mate pull but he wasn't going to pressure her, he would make her fall for him gradually.

She gracefully walked down the stairs and he just couldn't take his eyes of her as her heels clacked the floor.

With the rogues on the loose, the demons and black witches teaming up, there is so much to do and he knew he had to protect her with all he had but how? He wasn't totally sure yet.

He would never be able to live with himself if she got into danger.

He has always been invincible and out of reach to his enemies since he had nothing to protect or lose but now, she meant the world to him and if his enemies discover this, she would be in grave danger.

Finally they all walked out of the house.

“How long will your audition take”?

Klein asked while his attention was focused on the laptop on his lap.

“I really can't say, but I will let you know once I'm done”.

Kyra said but recalled they both don't even have each others phone numbers, so she instantly brought out her phone and they instantly exchanged their digits before she got off and bade fare well to the other two sitting in the front sit.

“Hi good morning, I'm here for the audition”.

Kyra said to the beautiful young lady at the front desk.

They lady looked at her and Kyra could tell that she was sizing her up.

Kyra quietly waited for her to respond but then, she heard a very familiar voice, she turned and froze on the spot,
