Cameron's P.O.V

I shook my head at the ridiculous behaviour, laughing at Sarah as she stormed up the stairs.

Alex, having witnessed the whole incident, gave me a 'what-did-you-do-this-time' look. Shaking my head at her antics, I told Alex why Sarah had been so upset. But instead of laughing at the joke, he seemed to be deep in thought.

"Come on, man!" I shook my head, slapping my hand on his shoulder. "It was a joke. Of course Sarah isn't gay!"

"I know." Alex nodded. "But that's not what I was thinking about."

"Then what were you thinking about?" I raised my eyebrows at him.

I had been just joking! Seriously! Freya was already my mate and even if Sarah was gay…which I knew she wasn't, I think…there was no way in hell I was letting her near Freya again if she thought she was going to steal my girl.

"It's about what you said." This time, when Alex's green eyes met mine, they were dead se

Cameron's P.O.V I was about to head to my first class, Geography, when I though I heard Sarah's voice from down the hall. The hallways were all empty after the first bell, and with the second bell only a minute away, the only people who would be loitering around would be the ones who wanted to cut class. But Sarah wasn't one of them. I don't think she had ever cut class in her life. Which was why I found the situation strange. Did I hear her right? "Why? Why would you do such a thing?" Yup. It was definitely Sarah. Changing routs before the teacher spotted me, I headed down the empty hallway that led to an empty classroom at the end of the hall, and found Sarah inside the class, along with Cindy, Laura and Trisha. My frown deepened when I realized what this might be about. I was however; a little disappointed that Sarah didn't talk to me before confronting the three of them. Especially since the situation involved me as well. &q

Freya's P.O.V I hadn't spoken to Cameron for two days. The realization wasn't a pleasant one and it made me doubt myself even more. Had I been too demanding? Had I been too childish? Had Cameron given up on me? The last idea seemed absurd…considering how Sarah had glorified the mating bond…but it also made me think deeply about my own actions. For the last six years, I had been completely alone. The only companion I had was Julian. He had been the only person I had loved. My crush for Cameron had seemed as impossible as the existence of werewolves themselves. And yet, here I was, right at the centre of a werewolf pack and as it turns out, as Cameron's mate. I was someone he could never hurt, never turn down. But had I taken advantage of the kindness he had shown me? Had I grown conceited because of the mating bond, thinking that he would bend to my every request? When staying inside the room had started to suffocate me, I decided to head to the gazeb

Freya's P.O.V Blinking my eyes open, I looked around my room in a daze as the last vestiges of sleep left my mind. I hadn't slept like this in forever. I felt well rested like I hadn't felt in ages and I was loving the sensation until I realized…I hadn't been inside my room when I fell asleep. With eyes wide in surprise, and a little worried, I sat up in bed and looked around my room, trying to remember how I got here in the first place. But the reason became painstrikenly clear in a few seconds as my eyes met electric blue ones across the room. "You're awake." Cameron got up from the chair he was sitting on and came towards me then, his eyes searching my face for any traces of discomfort. "How are you feeling? You've been asleep for almost twelve hours." "Twelve hours?" My eyes almost popped out of my head as I looked at the clock on my bedside table and found it reading 11PM. "Wow…I must have been exhausted."

Freya's P.O.V I woke up the next morning, all covered in sweat. The room was cold enough from the AC…then how could I be sweating? That's when I felt a weight on my waist. I almost jumped up from surprise when I saw that Cameron was the one to whom I was sleeping so close to. "What the…?" I looked under the covers in horror, but thankfully, I was still fully clothed…and so was Cameron. Then what was going on? How did we…? That's when events from last night came into my mind. Cameron and I had dinner together and then he had come into my room so we could have desserts here, ice-cream to be specific. But after we had our ice-cream, Cameron and I had talked for a long time about werewolves and mating bonds…until I had fallen asleep. What I hadn't realized…was that Cameron had fallen asleep next to me…while still sitting on the chair next to the bed. He was still in that same position, half-sitting, half-sleeping on the bed, with his arm on my

Freya's P.O.V "Freya?" Sarah called out as she entered my room and I was instantly up from the bed and racing towards her. "How is Cameron? Has his fever gone down?" I asked her urgently, grabbing onto her shoulders. But Sarah shushed me with a finger to her lips and pointed towards Julian's form on my bed. Startled that I had almost forgotten about Julian, I took a deep breath and moved away from Sarah, but she caught my arm. "It's alright." She gave me a small smile. "Would you like to talk somewhere else? Julian's room perhaps?" "Yes." I nodded immediately and followed Sarah into Julian's room that was right across from mine. His room wasn't all that different from mine except for the color scheme, but still, Julian likes to come into my room after school so he could take a nap with me. Since he had just gone to bed, I wasn't afraid of him getting up just yet and he was a heavy sleeper. What I was

Freya's P.O.V I entered Cameron's room quietly, closing the door behind me and felt like I had just landed in Siberia. Fuck! This place was freezing! I rubbed my hands together to warm them and when I breathed out, my breath actually fogged in front of my face. My teeth were starting to chatter from the cold. Looking around the dimly lit room, I found that the curtains were drawn shut and that there were at least five air conditioners inside the room, all at minimum temperature. Cameron was lying on a bed, surrounded by large ice cubes in large trays and they had even taken his shirt off. He only wore shorts that reached his knees, but otherwise, he didn't have any other item on his body. Worried that he might be cold, I placed my hand lightly on his forehead, only to remove it instantly. Cameron was still burning up and from what I could get, he had to be about 120 degrees, if not more. How was that even possible? But then again…it gave me a clear i

Freya's P.O.V I stared at Cameron's beautiful face, filling my eyes as if seeing him for the first time. There was a tiny speck of blood on his lips, but that didn't concern me. It was the shape of his lips that had me mesmerised. He was breathing hard, as if he had run a marathon and I found myself doing the same, not because I was mimicking him or anything…but because I was overwhelmed by the emotions coursing through my mind. Surprisingly, we were no longer lying down on the bed. Cameron was sitting up against the headboard and I was on his lap, in the comfort of his arms. He was also no longer a blazing furnace. The numerous air conditioners had also been switched off and I was no longer freezing. I had no idea if I had passed out or not, but my mind felt clear…refreshed. Sarah was right. Everything just seemed to fall into place. My identity…where I stood with Cameron and what I was supposed to be for him and his pack. It was like I was seeing myself from C

Cameron's P.O.V Knocking on Freya's door once again was nerve wracking. Especially after what I had just been through. I hadn't realized that the mating bond had been affecting her as well, not until I had been in danger yesterday and she had allowed me to mark her. But I wanted to believe that it wasn't the mating bond influencing her decision. I wanted to believe that she had helped me because her feelings were genuine…and at that moment, they had felt real. Freya opened the door then, almost like she had been expecting a visitor. But when she saw that I was the one on the other side, he eyes widened in surprise. "Cameron? You're up already?" She opened the door wider, revealing her attire that consisted of an oversized green hoodie and short jean shorts that reached mid thigh. My eyes momentarily travelled her body, fixated on the long, lean legs that seemed to stretch on forever. Freya wasn't very tall, about five feet four, but she was beaut

Lilac's P.O.V It's been a long ride and a very eventful one at that and anytime I think about what Krimson and I have been through, I'm just grateful we had the strength to go through everything we went through and we were able to come out of it even stronger than how we were before. As the sun cast its warm, golden rays across the university campus, I found myself sitting on a bench, the weight of decisions pressing against my chest. The soft whispers of the leaves rustling in the gentle breeze mirrored the conflicted thoughts swirling in my mind. Krimson, my mate, had offered a future tied to our pack, an enticing prospect for many, but not for me. I gazed at the sprawling grounds, feeling a tug in my heart that wasn't just about academic pursuits. The university held promises beyond the textbooks and lectures. It offered freedom—freedom to carve my own identity, to explore knowledge that extended far beyond the boundaries of our pack's traditions. I yearned to brea

Krimson's P.O.V I woke up to the pale light filtering through the hospital room, the faint beeping of monitors sounding in the background. My vision was hazy at first, the events leading up to this moment a jumbled mess in my mind. As I blinked and slowly tried to focus, the first thing that became clear was Lilac's form, peacefully asleep in a chair next to my bed. Relief washed over me as memories flooded back, fragments piecing together into a coherent narrative. "Lilac," I whispered softly, my voice hoarse from disuse. She stirred slightly, a faint flutter of eyelashes against her cheeks, but she remained deep in slumber. The sight of her there, unwavering by my side, despite everything that had transpired, filled me with an inexplicable warmth. I couldn't help but recall the chaos of that night—the confrontation, the whirlwind of emotions, and then the blankness as consciousness slipped away from me. But here I was, waking up to her steadfast presence. It m

Lilac's P.O.V I watched Silver hurl accusations at me, adding to my guilt. I wanted to explain, to make her understand that it wasn't intentional, that the circumstances had shifted beyond my control. But words seemed to desert me in that moment as I grappled with the weight of her accusation. However, Krimson's voice echoed in the room then, commanding even though weak. "Silver, it's not Lilac's fault," he said firmly, his voice carrying the weight of authority. "I made the decision. I took action to protect." Silver's gaze snapped toward Krimson, her eyes filled with disbelief. "What are you saying, Krimson? You hated her, didn't you? Then why would you risk your life to save her?" Krimson shook his head solemnly. "No, Silver. I never hated Lilac, it was our circumstances that I hated. It felt like the Goddess had played a cruel joke on me. But I couldn't run away from a bond fated by the goddess herself, Silver. I had caused Lilac enough pain as it is…I

Lilac's P.O.V I nodded, my mind racing with the urgency of the situation. I moved towards Silver, hoping against hope that all of this worked. "Silver…" I called out to her slowly, making her head snap in my direction. "Please…you need to stop all of this." But Silver's face twisted in a sinister smirk. "It's too late to stop any of this, Lilac. This ends with one of us." "It doesn't have to be that way, Silvia." I shook my head, pleading with her. From the corner of my eyes, I saw Del approaching her steadily from behind her, while I kept on engaging her in conversion. "It does, Lilac." Silver snapped at me, turning her body around so she was facing me completely. "You don't understand-" It was all Del needed, for her to turn away, so that our plan worked. Without wasting a second, he came up behind Silver and wrapped his arms around her body, holding her in place as he took her by surprise

Lilac's P.O.V For a moment, time seemed suspended, the tableau frozen in an eerie stillness. Silver hesitated, her gaze flickering between me and Krimson, the dagger held poised in the air, its lethal purpose momentarily forgotten in the face of Krimson's interruption. "Step away from her, Silver," Krimson's voice cut through the tension, unwavering and authoritative. His stance was firm, commanding obedience without question. The grip of Silver's magic lessened, the pressure easing just enough for me to draw a ragged breath. My muscles protested as I struggled against the binds anew, though I didn't dare to take my eyes off Silver, her expression a maelstrom of conflicting emotions - anger, desperation, and a hint of something I couldn't quite place. "Krimson, you shouldn't be here," Silver's voice wavered, a tremor betraying the turmoil within her. Her grip on the dagger faltered, uncertainty clouding her features. "You know I couldn't stand by and

Lilac's P.O.V The air was thick with tension, a palpable energy that crackled around us like a storm waiting to break. "Silver, you're fooling yourself if you think you can wield that kind of power," I said softly, my gaze fixed on the gleaming knife in her hands. "You're not a true Silver Alpha Breeder, you never will be. You can't ever access my full potential." Silver's laughter cut through the serene air, a sound that held a hint of something darker beneath its surface. "Oh, you have no idea, do you?" Her eyes glinted with an intensity that sent a shiver down my spine. "You underestimate what a witch can do, what I can do. I'm part wolf, part witch. I'm a hybrid that is already stronger than both a wolf and a witch! There's nothing I cannot do, Lilac!" "You think I chose you to lead our pack because of some noble sentiment? No, Lilac." Her voice was cold, devoid of any warmth. "I chose you because I knew the stronger you became, the more that dormant p

Lilac's P.O.V My eyes brimmed with confusion and hurt as I confronted Silver in the dimly lit room I was being held captive in. "Did you…ever really consider me a friend, Silver?" my voice trembled with a mixture of fear and desperation, my heart aching with the weight of betrayal. Silver, her gaze heavy with sorrow and a haunted past, met my eyes. "I used to belong to a peaceful pack, a pack that had been my home since the day I was born," she began, her voice tinged with a raw emotion that spoke volumes of her pain. "We lived in harmony, in unity. It was everything to me." Tears welled up in Silver's eyes, reflecting the agony of memories etched deep within her soul. "Your father," she whispered, the words heavy with anguish. "He... he attacked our pack. In the dead of night, when darkness cloaked the land, he led a brutal assault." I felt my heart ache for the woman that I had once considered my biggest alley, but now, she had turned out to be my bigges

Krimson's P.O.V The night hung heavy around us as we tore through the city streets, the engine's roar mingling with the howling wind. Del and I were on a mission—racing against time to reach Silver's apartment. It was imperative that we find Lilac before anything sinister unfolded. "Alpha Krimson, step on it!" Del's voice cut through the adrenaline-charged air, urgency lacing every word. His grip tightened on the door handle as we swerved through the dimly lit alleys, the neon signs blurring into streaks of color. "I'm pushing it as hard as I can!" I shouted back, my eyes fixed on the road ahead. The weight of worry pressed on me like a leaden cloak. We had to reach Silver's place, and had to find Lilac safe and sound. Finally, screeching to a halt outside Silver's building, we leaped out of the car. Breathless and tense, we dashed up the stairs, each step echoing the pounding of our hearts. As we reached Silver's door, our hopes soared, but a hollow silence gre

Lilac's P.O.V As I slowly arose to consciousness, I found myself grappling with the weight of my heavy eyelids. My mind sluggishly pieced together the fragments of reality, pushing through a dense fog of disorientation. The air felt heavy, each inhale a laborious effort that failed to fill my lungs as it should. A peculiar lightheadedness swept over me, a disconcerting sensation akin to floating on the edge of a dream. My initial attempt to stretch my arms, to move, met an unexpected resistance. Panic flickered through my drowsy mind as the realization hit home—I was restrained. My fingertips brushed against something coarse and unyielding, confirming my fear. The sensation sent a jolt of adrenaline through my groggy state, clearing the haze momentarily. I tried to rise, only to discover the cruel truth of my predicament: bound, not just by ropes or chains, but tied firmly to what appeared to be a marble table. The cool surface pressed against my skin, a s
