I shifted uneasily in my seat, feeling the weight of discomfort settle heavily upon my shoulders. The classroom walls seem to close in on me, suffocating me with their familiarity. It's as if the air itself has thickened, making it hard to breathe. My fingers trace the edge of the desk, nails biting into the worn wood, a feeble attempt to ground myself in this moment.

'No…this can't be happening…this can't be real! I must be dreaming…'

I tried to convince myself that this was all just a fragment of my imagination. That Krimson wasn't actually here and the only reason why I was imagining all of this was because I had slept with Del, someone who wasn't my mate, and this was my guilty conscience trying to conjure up all kinds of images to remind me of the mistake I'd made…but when Krimson's sharp, piercing red eyes met mine once again from across the room, just as he jotted out a number of equations on the blackboard…I knew that I wasn't hallucinating…
