Dinner at a restaurant with friends?

If someone had told me this a week ago, I wouldn't have believed them, probably because I was one of those raging, frothing at the mouth, rogue wolves who didn't understand words and clawed away at anyone who stood in front of me. But today, sitting at a café at eight in the evening, having dinner with my mate and my newly made friends…it was something the old me couldn't even imagine.

But the old me was long gone. And I would much prefer this new version of me over the old me, any time of any day. Also, the fact that I still couldn't remember much of the old me helped in numerous ways.

Eating out had seemed like the perfect getaway after we arrived back in town later in the evening and all of us decided that we needed something cheerful to drive away the gloominess we had brought back from Lincoln County.
